Re: Destiny 2: The Final Shape (PS5) - Bungie's Promise Fulfilled

Ypmud

As someone who played from D1 Alpha I can say hand on heart this felt epic, it was a great feeling to have closure on the light and dark saga.
The Witness is such an awesome protagonist and the back-story had me going wow. Some of the boss fights were up there with some of Destiny's best fights going (I'm looking at you Sathathun)
Im still getting into the Prismatic builds and so far they are really good so expecting some massively overpowered builds incoming.

All in all and so far money well spent.

Bring on the next 12 months

Re: Poll: Are You Playing God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla?

Ypmud

@R-Soub

I would highly recommend IKKI island for GOT its incredible

I cant comment of Horizon or GOW yet as I havent finished the main story on either

Infamous First Light is brilliant
Cyberpunk DLC has had great reviews from my friends I am yet to finish the main story on that game.

I would also recommend the PS5 version of The Witcher 3
Cuphead is good fun but stupidly hard

Re: The Latest PS5 Firmware Update Is Available to Download Now

@Zeke68 Totally wrong if you are wanting low latency WIFI is not the way to go, you should be ethernet cabled straight into you LAN to get the lowest latency possible, the portal will then auto negotiate to the fastest speed possible on your home WIFI but remember if you got thick walls it will screw with the WIFI

Re: Game of the Year: #7 - Sonic Frontiers

Ypmud

Im wading in on this.

So I got frontiers for xmas, I was unsure about it from all the mixed reviews, so far I am pleasently surprised, I am not noticing pop in but I did change all settings to performance mode which doesnt seem to suffer the same issues as fidelity mode (graphics or what ever its called).

I am a life long sonic fan but I can tell you now im one of the franchises biggest critics when it comes to the 3d games (honestly I think the last 3d game that was much fun was generations).

That being said, im taking the game as what it is a breath of fresh air on what I think has been a poor year for games.

Maybe everyone else should have a look at it that way too (just my opinion)

Re: Video: Is Spider-Man Remastered At Its Best on PC?

Ypmud

Wow this thread had created much entertainment for me seeing one PCMR follower get absolutely roasted.
Im lucky to own poth a perfectly capable (but no where near as powerful as a ps5) PC (R5 3600, 32bg ram, pcie gen4 ssd, and a rx5700xt attached to a 1440p 120hz monitor) and I also own a ps5 this is the first time I have no allegience in my 30 years of gaming, my pc is perfect for what I primarily play on it (destiny) and my ps5 is perfect for the first person titles and some plus games and anyone who knows me knows im a huge sonic fan so I play sonic games on console too.

I think having first party games ported to PC is a great thing its bringing a wider audience into some absolute gems of games.

Imagine what TLOU or TLOU2 will look like on PC (I for one think they are 2 of the most ground breaking games of their generations (TLOU being on ps3 as a sorta last game of the ps3 generation and TLOU2 being a last game sorta of the ps4 generation)

People need to stop with the PCMR situation the huge gap that was there between home consoles and pc's is now all but closed over with most consoles being glorified pc's (bear in mind XBSX and PS5 are x86-64 based consoles and no longer using proprietary CPU & GPU).

Re: UK Sales Charts: PS5 Stock Shortages Force Sony Exclusives Out of the Top 10

Ypmud

I have a PS5 and wince at the £70 price tag for new games, I picked up AC Valhalla and got that brand new for £25 which I thought was an absolute steal (even if the game is soooooo slow) I do own R&C but not returnal (mainly because its like rocking horse sh*t to get)

What was the reasoning for the price hike again was it because the games were now on ultra HD blu ray discs ?

Re: Sonic's 30th Anniversary Symphony Is a Brilliant Musical Trip Down Memory Lane

Ypmud

I loved it watched it live and was mesmerised did really enjoy the crush 40 section at the end.

I was gutted they didnt do the end music of sonic 2 that is probably my favourite.
Starlight zone on orchestra was amazing too

Did love the medley for mania too.
Im going into colours never playing it later this year but its a day one for me does look fun

Re: Mini Review: Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX (PS4) - Who Thought This Game Needed a Remake?

Ypmud

@Mostik The Ninja lol I played that on retroarch recently and I forgot just how evil that game is the music is brilliant for a late 80's game, but I will say I remember my master system getting that in the late 80's only being I think 5 at the time it was amazing, Alex Kidd deserves a remake yes and is it hard oh yes but games back then were brutally hard they were originally designed for arcade cabinets so were meant to swallow your cash.

Re: How Well Do You Know The Last of Us?

Ypmud

10/15 I wont complain havent played part 1 since 2014

The sequel is brilliant sometimes very hard but I know there is a huge twist about to happen and waiting for it to happen.
Bring it on

Re: Police Called to Lidl in France After Insane PS4 Deal Draws Huge Crowds

Ypmud

I remember getting the last ps4 before xmas 2013 in cornwall and doing the exact same with the ps4 pro I actually can not wait to see the pure carnage that ps5 creates as I expect xbox to up their game but Sony spent the past 3-4 years really cementing their position as the console market leader and look at the ps4's major first party swansong....
TLOU2, Ghost of Tushima
2 absolutely stunning games I can only imagine what they will look like at full 4k 60fps on ps5 when the remasters hit

Re: Blind Gamer Reacts to The Last of Us 2's Unprecedented Accessibility Options

Ypmud

@Shinishii

I wouldnt be shocked if ND implemented this in R&C on ps5 to get plat and people will freak out but get that a lot of ND's games are less about the gameplay and more about the story and immersive feelings they give off.

ND and Insomniac are my 2 favourite studios with Valve and Bungie 3rd and 4th respectively.

All because of their abillity to generate great storys and immersive environments.

Re: Feature: The New PS5 Games We're Most Excited About

Ypmud

I never saw the whole of the show but I will say R&C looks amazing true next gen, GT7 looks amazing (not a shock there) and Horizon all look truely stunning.

This gen I will only be playing first part exclusives on ps5 things like destiny and PES will be on pc just because its a better platform in my opinion for online games.

Re: Destiny 2 on PS5 Is a Free Upgrade, Runs at 60 FPS, Has Cross-Play with PS4

Ypmud

@wiiware sorry the point that was made by bungie was its 4k @ 60fps and I highly doubt (infact know) your pc can get to those lofty heights!
I am on a i7 4790s 32gb ram and on my old card (1060 3gb) couldnt get close to 60fps @ 4k now I have a 5700xt and can get 60fps @ 1440p and 45-50fps @ 4k.

The engine was written for ps4 base model as well as xbone base model.
They wont be putting out a d3, the announcements yesterday were pretty plain and clear cut they are finishing this story arc on d2 platform, the idea of putting areas and content into a vault and rotating each season is the only way they can get around the 105gb roof the engine and patch system can support on consoles which I commend them for coming up with an idea thats not a complete deletion of content.

Re: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled - An Unapologetically Retro Racing Revival

Ypmud

its bloody hard but the sounds are great and i think this will be a lot of fun in 4 player mode or online

With regards to Stevens comments regarding handling oh boy the power sliding is hard I have played with the controls and still no joy its as precise as possible but that means when you get it right you get it right and feel a sense of accomplishment.

All in all for game to give this to me for free im well happy
