Re: Review: Sonic Mania (PS4)

Ypmud

ok i sneaked half hour on it at midnight, first impressions are why did this take sega 7 yes 7 years to allow this to come out? its brilliant i dont care that its not perfect lets face it sonic games are not perfect they have their little issues that dont sit well with everyone, but im a huge massive fan of what christian whitehead has done here its utterly brilliant possibly the best sonic game since sonic and knuckles even better than generations and i loved that game.
Can someone explain to me what the blue rings are for ? I cant work that out at all

Re: Review: Sonic Mania (PS4)

Re: Hardware Review: Is the Razer Raiju the PS4's True Pro Controller?

Ypmud

@Dan_ozzzy189 i beg to differ ive had a razer keyboard for 10 years and worked fine and im a hard ass with my gear when it comes to online gaming and its never failed once touch wood so i think your suggesting this when infact if your buying the budget razer gear (sub 100 quid) then its usually a bit pants but the abover 100 quid gear is the dogs doo daas enough said really.

Re: Game of the Year 2016: #9 - Ratchet & Clank

Ypmud

Defo a great game however.... it needs desperately 2 and 3 to be remastered asap and tools of destruction that will look stupidly pretty on ps4 sorry but this is needed as these games sold shed loads on the ps3 sony needs to get an offshoot company to work on a reworked version of r&c2 and get it in production quickly

Re: Game of the Year 2016: Sammy's Personal PlayStation Picks

Ypmud

So far im not commenting until i finish the last guardian as i believe this year has knocked out some phenomenal ps4 games some that are genre defining and some that are imho generation defining and im happily going to say genre defining would be ratchet and clank it is perfect in every single way, and generation defining so far it looks like the last guardian it looks flawed but wow trico makes the game and the game is built around a interesting complicated but very disobedient animal in trico

Re: Poll: Does The Last Guardian Dazzle After a Decade?

Ypmud

bear one other thing in mind about this game most of the videos we have seen are in enclosed areas once your outside it looks unbelievable i watched sammy's video on his pre-review and was flabbergasted once you went outside and saw trico oustide it eyewatering (in a good way)

Re: Poll: Does The Last Guardian Dazzle After a Decade?

Ypmud

ok all df has really said is to get the best performance out of the game you need to have ps4 pro running at 1080p mode this will give best performance lol i watched the first videos regarding this as im actually interested in buying a ps4 pro this game looks nothing like a remaster game shall we take skyrim or the last of us as examples ??? I do believe this blows them both out the water I do believe sir you need to take a trip down to specsavers for an eye test.

End of

Re: Poll: Does The Last Guardian Dazzle After a Decade?

Ypmud

@BAMozzy it looks nothing like a ps3 game btw i think you will find most ps3 games were only 720p and im 100% sure this was pointed out that the textures are not indicitive of a game that is 720p so please carry on with your it looks like a ps3 remaster

Re: Review: The Last Guardian (PS4)

Ypmud

@get2sammyb how long does it take to complete the game mate ?
I am not too fussed but im holding off getting ffxv for this just goes to show the impact the game has had on me ive not played ICO or SOTC before but love games that have immesive relationships, im guessing this type of game will apeal to me being a dog lover and having a stupidly disobedient dog

Re: Poll: Does The Last Guardian Dazzle After a Decade?

Ypmud

@BAMozzy ok I am going to make a comment here take it as a criticism i dont care....
TLG looks great im getting it for christmas yes it was originally coded for ps3 however.... I bet if you rip apart the game itself it will be a ps4 game infact im completely convinced it was reworked due to the fact what they wanted to do with trico was not possible with ps3 architechture infact it wasnt possible with computing at that time. Take a PC from 10 years ago could it comfortabley render Trico at a steady 30 fps in 4k ??? DF is interesting when comparing games that are multiplatform games but like cod fifa pes etc, when its a single platform game it makes no sense at all yes it does make me realise I will need a 4k ps4 which I will be purchasing soon but why are you being so negative you can see the game isnt a ps3 remaster no ps3 remaster can do things like render individual feathers on Trico.

Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think of Sony's PSX 2016 Presser?

Ypmud

Ok I havent watched the presser YET, however what I can say is ff7 im not overly fussed over I dont think it was the best ff of the psx era i prefer either 8 or 9 thats my opinion, I am excited about crash but im in my mid 30's so remember the games of my teens, TLOU2 just looks incredible if they are using the same game engine that was used in u4 then well its going to look amazing. Knack2 is my game of the presser that has been announced so far it might not be everyone's cup of tea but it looks lots of fun lets hope its a longer game and enhance on its good story line.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying a PS4 Pro?

Ypmud

my only issue with the ps4pro is it needs to have 2 hdmi ports on it one for the video output straight to your tv and one for your audio much like a 4k blu ray player has at present it has not been confirmed it will have this and most av amps either dont support 4k yet or their are insanely expensive

Re: PS4 Pro Doesn't Appear to Have a 4K Blu-ray Player

Ypmud

Have you seen the crappy transfer speeds on freebsd it is not feasible to support it period god sake I don't care about external HDD support all my blu ray players that are not ps4 support external hard drives and they are only £40 blu ray players.
Honestly the real drop of the ball is no 4k blu ray drive but it's no biggy really the hdr support on all ps4s is amazing

Re: Sony Patents Elite PS4 Controller with Paddles and Adaptable Layout

Ypmud

Ok I agree the DS4 is a poor build quality I am due to either purchase a 4th controller in 3 years or buy a whole new touch pad matrix; I understand that people want the customisable pad etc but I would much prefer they used the materials they used for the DS3 shell on the DS4 and also sourced a new manufactorer for the analogue sticks and the touchpads they are my main sources of failure the battery issue is dead easy to fix as the DS3 battery fits in the DS4 so you only need to ebay purchase a couple DS3 batterys that are brand new and put them in your pad (this takes no time at all)

Re: Poll: Are You Enjoying Uncharted 4 on PS4?

Ypmud

@JaxonH
Thats a drawback for yourself not playing the original games makes it hard to compare, from memory the originals are also like this and it has a lot of timing aspects built into it if you mistime your press of x you are likely to fall to your death

Re: Poll: Are You Enjoying Uncharted 4 on PS4?

Ypmud

Ok, as a huge avid ND fan I can say hand on heart U4 is leaps and bounds above TLOU in standards you can see that they have learned from TLOU and added in a lot of their experience of the game.
I have to admit the scene with the bell had me wondering WTAF!!!
This is by far the prettiest game on the PS4 to date and by a long way the best game of the year, I havent finished the SP yet due to me taking my time with the game I know im about half way through it and lets face it a gaming masterpiece like this game should be savoured not devoured in a quick 12 hour session. I will say one thing the opening is slow but fun is it as memorable as U2 NO WAY nothiing beats the opening of hanging off a train over a cliff
Enjoy your gaming guys I am working all weekend so no more gaming for me until tuesday !!

Re: Review: DiRT Rally (PS4)

Ypmud

I picked it up yesterday best £42 ive spent its like cmr of old, and unbelievably pretty to look at the car physics are brilliant and utterly painful when you get handed a dnf after painstakingly coersing your car through what seems like hell and you make a silly mistake at speed and you have to retire the rally, I really like it and I normally hate with a passion codemasters games due to their horrible arcade like feel but wow if you like rally get this as its got a mixture of both rally cross and proper rally's and the latter is where you get your kicks out of how hard this game is.

The pace notes are unreal and come at you based on how fast you are driving, if you are really up for it you can get the notes read out through the pad speaker which i have to admit helps 100%

Utterly brilliant much needed on the ps4 it makes me realise gt will have a high bar in standards to exceed this is what all codemasters games should be like!
