@number1024 This is why I prefer Ps plus and Gamepass, as I can play it longer and gain a better understanding of the game. I didn't mean it as in I trust the reveiwers, because I don't. I just mean it helps me round off what I think. In fact, often, when a critic hates a game, I know I'm gonna love it.

I'm autistic, so it's hard to get my point across. In short, I agree with you, only at the same time demo's don't provide me enough information, and it is everything to do with how my brain is wired. Takes me a long time to pull the 70 pound trigger

@number1024 again, it only gives so much. I also watch gameplay videos and listen to those who have played it on what they think.
I cam play a game for an hour and love it, then two hours later it will either get too hard, or boring, or have a level design that stresses me out. Mate, 70 pounds investment is worth thinking about before spending it. If you don't get that then, well, clearly you got money to burn

Most of it has been on gamepass so I've played a lot already, but rouge galaxy 2 and far cry 6, that's a win for me

Love this. Gamepass and Ps plus are amazing. I get to save money so I can afford spiderman 2 and assasin creed etc, while playing amazing games like Ghost, Ratchet and clank, far cry 6 on plus. And starfield, pentiment, forza, capcoms next two games, stacking, redfall (joking about that one ahah).

@GymratAmarillo it's not free, we pay monthly for it. What a strange comment to make. Besides, October will cost me a lot, spiderman 2, assassin creed, alone in the dark, and Alan wake 2. Thank the gaming gods for gamepass and ps plus. Gamepass is great, and it's not going away. Neither is ps plus. We play games where we want and how we want, don't worry about it. Plus with the cost of living, and rent, heating, all that stuff, subscription services are vital for those who enjoy gaming but might not be able to afford new games here and there. You sound almost like Rishi Sunak haha

So, gonna buy it on the PS store upon release. Spiderman 2 and Starfield, what a brilliant way to end the year. Also we got the game awards. Honestly, having both consoles, with both releasing the big guns, is a gamers dream. Well excited. My mind keeps vaciliating between Starfield and Spiderman, from builidng my own ship to playing as Venom, from space pirates to catapulting off rooftops. It's aweomse that they release a month apart, too. Enough time to explore space before taking a holiday with Spiderman haha

Again, xbox living rent free haha. I'm lucky I got my PS5 this year, means there are loads of exclusives I've to play through, but I fear that Sony will be looking at a barren line up next year, whereas Xbox will be releasing 3 to 4 of their own. Fact is, it takes longer to develop first party AAA games, xbox has had more in the pipework and now they're starting to breath, with Starfield this September and Forza, they would be wise to release Hellblade, Avowed and two more next year (that's a big if tho, I agree), but if they do, what does Sony have? I don't believe they've got something hidden up their sleeves. They seem to be relying on service games, because really what matters isn't the console sales (okay it does to a degree), but the active user base. Xbox holds gamepass as its brand now, how many active users are on there compared to Sony? I'm genuinely asking as I don't know. I suspect gamepass has more because its available on PC, too. So it seems Sony is trying to keep a steady influx of users, which will alienate and delay their AAA powerhouses =( its just my opinion, well, theory. Don't take offence, I'm not negating anything. I've got all consoles so I'm happy either way, and let's face it, Spiderman 2 is gonna blow up big time, can't wait to play it. Haha I've got Starfield and spiderman to play this year. Starfield saves me a ton of money, which I can spend on buying spiderman 2

I'm really excited for the Xbox showcase. Sony had a lot of multiplat which was brilliant, but what really blew my socks off was the spiderman gameplay.

Can I just say though, why does Pushsquare mention Xbox so much, hardely happens over at Pure. Just wondering, seems odd. Maybe that's just my brain.
But yeah, I suspect a lot of games at Xbox showcase will be for Xbox for at least a year. Also, Sony do a good job at advertising games as if it's PS exclusive, so can't blame Xbox there really.

I'd say, like, if you only have a Playstation, then why waste your time wondering what's happing on the other side of the field?

Seems to be a theme. This, Alan Wake 2. I'm wondering if it's to push sales, to maybe make it so you have no choice but to pay full price. In which case subscription services would suddenly be very much more valuable. Um, but yeah, this is concerning. Personally I'm subbed to Ps plus and Gamepass and tend to buy digital only, but no way do I want physical games to die. This will be the end of Cex and GAME, though GAME have been going that way for ages.

It's weird how xbox lives rent free in some people's heads. Hey I have all three consoles and I love them. PS5 being first place isn't new though, haha. Look at the history of consoles and you'll see xbox has always been third. Always. Sony has always been first. I think its funny that people on here fan boy so hard they state facts as if they're shots. Be happy with the games you enjoy, don't worry about who sells what or where.

I wish the vita was more successful. To dream that of playing a Vita 2, or whatever they would have called it.
Instead we get that weird handheld thing coming out. I'm sure some people will love it and I probably would too if I brought it, but I get a creeping feeling it'll flop.

Also I miss old Zelda. Ocarina of time, windwaker, those two are my faves. Don't like the new direction they've headed in. But that's personal preference =)

Opinion superiority is rife when it comes to this subject matter, on all sides. Thing is, Politics are dirty, so are all billionaire companies, to a degree. They take shots at each other all the time, grease hands and carry out backdoor deals. Sony and Xbox are the same in that regards. This whole high moral ground stance over a company you dislike isn't exactly immune to moral hypocrisy, it's just that a company you dislike is behind it is the reason you're angry. Why even allow it to suck the joy out of gaming? I struggle to see why anyone cares. I've got all three consoles, playstation 5 is easily the better system, but dam I love gamepass and yes, it's renting and cheap and so far the quality is no where near Sony but so what? Xbox isn't going to ever get to first place, look at the history of consoles and watch Sony dominate.

I've played games my whole life, well, almost. I have seen consoles buy exclusives and seen companies take shots at each other. You're the consumer and all they care about is your money.

I get it I guess. People grow up and gaming doesn't provide that same level of excitement it once did, people's expectations change, they scrutinise more and their tastes evolve beyond what was fun from the year before. I'm lucky that my brain is wired differently. I love video games so much, I find the joy and pleasure in every single one. I escape to their worlds, look up at the skies they've created, absorb all what they have to offer. Most importantly, I have fun.

Some gamers though, they think the gaming world needs to be like an art gallery, curated pieces of art which only resonates with their perception of what makes a game good.

And then those who actually invest negative energy into disliking a brand or company, to the point they forget or willfully ignore the fact all brands and companies are the same.

And being called a fan boy for wanting a deal that will benefit my wallet isn't fan boying, it's just a good deal.

Now I'll have arm chair experts and gaming professionals tell me why I'm wrong, declare me an xbot, or simple just go full opinion superiority. Thing is, I don't care. I just wanted to share my opinion on the matter. I do not for a second think my opinion is fact, I'm not an expert, it's just purely based on my thoughts and experience. Could end up no Activision games in the UK. Sony will be mad. Look, I own all three consoles, Sony are the bosses and have been first place ever since they came swooping in with the PS1. Xbox has always been third. This deal won't change that, but in a cost of living crisis it will allow gamers more opportunities to play triple A games for cheaper.

I understand that this subject has a propensity for enflaming console war mentalities, and I get it, I'm autistic and can get fixed on one thing so much that I use to literally shake with anger when someone said Playstation was better than Dreamcast. But then my brother got me a PS1 and I learned that gaming, on any console, is still gaming. They're all amazing consoles and they have amazing games, some more than others but still, there's games. So don't let this deal blind you, worry you, or fuel your anger. Be happy with what you got.

My personal opinion however is that CMA are underestimating their power, they might just push Microsoft to remove all Activision games entirely. I know they would lose money, but it would be a power move that would turn the consumer against the CMA.

I can't remember which MK it was but my favourite was the one where you can create your own character, it also has the biggest roster of character to choose from. The blocking mechanics was perfect and the character creator mode was fun. I hope this reboot brings both back

This is cool. Ubisoft can be amazing when it wants to be. I'm hoping for another watch dogs game, maybe one set in the 90's.

Also, it just occurred to me that we could be getting Splinter Cell remake around the time of metal gear remake. That would be brilliant.

I'm loving the E3 vibes despite E3 not being alive anymore. Summer gamefest, Ubi showcase and then xbox, straight off the heels of Sony who revealed some pretty big hitters. Gotta admit, it's exciting to be a gamer right now =)

I personally thought it looked awesome. That slingshot across the city made me gasp with excitement. Strange how some people seem unimpressed =(

What a brilliant few weeks for games. Whatever you think of the Sony showcase, we got to see Metal Gear, Spiderman 2, Dragon dogma 2, and more reveals. Then we'll have summer game fest, likely to see Death stranding 2 and more. Then on the 11th, or 12th? Xbox showcase where we'll see Starfield. As a owner of the 3 main consoles, I couldn't be happier.

I'll get metal gear on PS5.
Dogma 2 on Xbox.
And the rest will depend on my mood haha

It was always gonna be the most watched, seeing as the showcase dry spell began to feel like a metaphorical mad max situation. I was severely disappointed, but at least it gives xbox a chance to prove itself. Sony tripped up on this, they didn't fall. Xbox can't afford even to trip. Excited none the less. Also, metal gear remaster and Spiderman, that gave me chills.

I think that's the thing, as a kind of E3 offering, it was awesome. As a showcase, it was, well, more like an E3 event.
