Re: Diablo 4 Will Lack an Essential Feature from Past Entries

It may have something to do with the atmosphere of the game. They want players to feel lost in the world of the game. Nothing should distract their eyes from the core gameplay. They should find their own way without looking at the map every second. My guess anyways. But I think an overlay map is essential for dungeons, they are mostly too long and sometimes dull. Easy to lose your way.

Re: Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey 'Blown Away' by PSVR2

@Gooseman42 @ROTTIEMAN16 Yeah that's my base case. But Apple can change the playing field when they enter a new market. It'll definitely be a formidable competitor to Oculus for the very least. But thinking about PSVR2, we PS5 owners will definitely go for the PSVR2, but Apple's presence means the casual people who are more interested in VR devices will have more options in the future. If you also consider the way they launch and quickly iterate a better version of their product every year, it might mean incremental lost revenue for Sony in the future. Apple might even decide to support more advanced gaming features in the future. I'd expect anything from them, they have the money and the talent.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Deathloop?

I'm not motivated to buy this as I know that it'll be free in a year from now in gamepass.

It's definitely not a day one must-play title. There is unnecessary hype.

Re: Jim Ryan Says Players Only Remember the Best Games

@Mauzuri I respectfully disagree. You may not enjoy it. But there are objective standards for great games! So many people don't play souls games, that's fine. But they are amazing genre-defining games. I don't play Nintendo games, I find them very childish. But I always appreciate the top-quality production and breathtaking moments in those games. Some games are objectively great really, even if some of us don't enjoy it, including you and me.

@Otherbarry yeah, I saw it and I see where you're coming from. My guess is, it's not that easy to install that setup. I believe you need to spend another $400-$500, which is as much as buying another console. I mean maybe some people can do it, but I'd like to believe that not many people will deal with the hassle. It's still much easier to hack a PC.

Re: Battlefield 2042 'Looking to Achieve' Crossplay

@Otherbarry I mean you can never completely prevent hacking. Hackers always find a way. The science of preventing hacking is basically to make it as difficult as possible. If it's hard enough to hack, that means you have good protection against it. That's why there is a rightful perception that it's easier to cheat on a PC. PCs are made for developing stuff, like hacking software. But consoles are more of a closed systems, making them harder to develop software on them for hackers. Having said that, we'll see how this changes in the future. Hopefully stays the same.
