I don't understand how people think these character models look good. They look awful, nothing like how you'd imagine a realistic version of the original models would look. They've completely taken away the blonde hair of 3 characters and turned it into a browner style, the face models make them look older than they should be and the whole feel is just off for me. Very disappointed in this. The only person that looks remotely like their original character is Sokolov. And Volgin's face scars are a lot more brutal tbf.

I feel like a small minority are now flying the flag for physical media and I respect it, I just don't think you're going to change anyone's mind about it, especially given the way we all consume media nowadays.

It's impressive seeing collections of Youtubers (Mystic comes to mind) but it's a massive undertaking and people don't have the space and for the most part - it's miles more expensive. I've got the vast majority of my games through the digital sales.

@torquex I'd class a remake as remaking the game from the ground up which, judging from the gameplay I've seen that mimics the original MGS3 rather than the fluid movement of MGSV, they haven't done. A remaster would just be a fresh coat of paint - improved visuals and audio. Maybe a few quality of life improvements but nothing major.

From everything I've seen, this is a remaster, not a remake.

FIFA 10 was the best game they've done and they've still not matched it since.

Me, I haven't played Borderlands 3 yet. Been flirting with buying the Ultimate Edition every time it's £25 though.

This is 100% a remaster and not a remake. False advertising at best, all the gameplay movements look exactly the same as they did in the original.

Wishlist was the best addition ever to the store. I go through my list, see what's on sale and buy immediately without trawling through pages of dross.

If people stopped buying them, they'd stop making them. But people can't resist.

I loved this game from launch. Just you and an open Wasteland. Working out what had happened when the first people left the vaults. It's absolutely packed with NPCs now. Just a completely different game.

I need Cities: Skylines DLC to go on sale.

I'd much prefer a scripted experience. Not every game needs to be a sandbox. Sounds like Mr. Barker just wants Hitman 4 with JB as the lead.

@ear_wig Me too, I don't understand the hate. Maybe it's because I played 1 & 2 together but I just thought the story they told was one of the most brilliant, gritty realisations of a post apocalyptic word I've ever seen. The moral choices it raised were extremely deep and I still think about the story on a daily basis.

You should just go and write for the sister site at this point. Xbox showcase was nothing special, preferred the PlayStation one.

Oh, and there was no cringey tweet from PlayStation afterwards showing all the games that will also be playable on PS. I still can't believe everyone loved that classless move from Xbox.

@lacerz I think it's mad that everyone sees this marketing from Xbox as a win when it's actually cringeworthy.

Just an FYI, in the expiry date bit you've got Mafia II, but it's Mafia Definitive Edition that's free on PS Plus Essential this month.

To just repost this review with no updates to it in regards to how the game has evolved is pretty shoddy.

I’m on a PS3 backlog clean up. ICO is the game of choice this weekend.

It looks brilliant to be fair. Graphics could probably be better and I hope there are no online trophies, but bar that, I'm looking forward to it.

Does it count for those that have the physical edition on PS4?

Native 4K for me when I get round to playing it in about 5 years time.

Do we know if it can play original VR games yet?

@Bionic-Spencer Absolutely this. I would have gone for Premium solely for a Toy Story 2 plat, but it doesn't have trophies. Very disappointing.

Saw the picture, thought we were in remake territory. The disappointment I feel is indescribable.

@Vacuumator The lighting model in Syndicate is broken on PS5, it's like strobe lighting. Still playable but very off putting and if you get sick from flashing lights then I would advise not booting it up.

I'm so gutted there isn't a single player game coming out.

That’s good, I’m making my way through Assassin’s Creed games. Origins is next for me. I’m 48% through Syndicate so it’s not too late to release a patch to fix the shadow glitch that threatens seizures!

There's already so many games on that list I'd been holding off on. If that was the full list I'd be happy!

I literally can't wait. Not even joking.
