I'm certainly interested in the title, but I'll also hold my excitement until we see more. I am glad that in this case, they are making a vita specific game instead of a direct port, as I would have bought AC3 on ps3 anyway. Perhaps I'll get 2 great Assassin's Creed experiences. . .or maybe I'll get none
I wasn't a big fan of the game, though I did virtually break all the puzzles with 3 player coop and the wizard being able to levitate the rest of the party past almost any obstacle! It is certainly fun to fight and mess around with friends though
I was really excited about this collection, though the exclusion of peace walker has turned me off to buying it just yet. I'm sure I'll be getting it eventually, though I was hoping to experience peace walker without having to buy the psp release.
I can't wait for e3. I'm hoping for an Uncharted-esque gameplay demo during sony's press event to see just how this game plays. I'm expecting uncharted style animation and camera work, with closer and more combat heavy fights. It seems that ND has really made a great world for this game to take place in!
I am incredibly excited for this game! It's lucky for me that the release of this coincides nicely with graduation. I'll have plenty of free time to really get into the game after an awesome beta. The bonuses are pretty cool for beta players, though I doubt i'll apply the Eucadian paint scheme as I was never a fan of the military style green.
This is great news! this game is the first rpg that I actually beat(besides pokemon), seeing as I wasn't a fan of the genre in my youth. At the time I thought it looked amazing and the papermario-esque timed combat kept my attention. Can't wait to load this on my psp and burn through the rest of the school year playing this once I turn in my books.
My brother bought the MGS4 bundle in 2008. I was really blown away by the games because I had, for the most part, skipped the previous generation of consoles(I owned a ps2 late, but most of my play was spent with my ps1 and on ps2-gamecube at friends houses). It seems strange but I effectively jumped from ps1 to ps3! I bought my own ps3 in 2009 just 3 weeks before the slim was released with the $100 price drop, though It was still worth it
I like the charger(and it's price), though I do have a few questions about it.. First off, whether the vita runs exclusively off the extended battery while it is plugged in or if it runs off the vitas battery to empty then switches to the extender. I would hope the the extender can charge the vita's battery while in use, which would be great for "topping off" the battery in times when portability isn't an issue.
I suppose I'll know with time as the vita launches and people can get hands on with the accessory.
Awesome trailers, though I'm not sold on the vita's special interfaces for most of these games. I do think that little deviants seems to use the back touch well, as does escape plan. The games I'm looking most forward to here are definitely Uncharted, Gravity Rush, and LittleBigPlanet!
This makes me much more interested in this years game, though I'm not sure if I can justify paying full price, I may just wait awhile for a price drop. . .
I think its a great idea to tether the account to a memory card to allow for multiple accounts, though this also raises some serious problems for some people and for sony. The main concern that I have with this is that it seems that a memory card will be required to access the PSN, which gives even more requirements for people to invest in the expensive cards. The fact that Sony doesn't include at least the small 4 gb card with the vita will likely haunt them soon after launch, after the rush of rabid sony fans buy their console with all kinds of games and accessories. The average consumer won't know or be willing to spend even more money after buying this expensive device. I hope that Sony realizes this error soon and decides to include a card of some size with the standard console package.
I was really looking forward to this game, but the confirmation that it controls well unlike the psp version has me very excited. I am just disappointed that the load times are still problematic, especially on a handheld release. James, would you say that the load times are as slow as on the ps3 title(up to a minute) or are they at least slightly improved? Also do you think that the build you played would show the final load times since it is so close to launch?
The idea of releasing games with less content at a lower price, then offering more later on could be a really good idea for both the industry and for gamers. A great example would be rockband unplugged lite for psp. That game came with 5 songs and only cost $5, then you could buy additional songs as you saw fit. This would help fight used game sales, as well as encourage people to buy more games. . .however This is just ridiculous. They shouldn't expect anyone who knows that there are so few track and cars on the game to buy it. Assuming the game will release at half the price of a normal vita game, they should include half of the planned content.
I was planning on the 32GB card, though at these prices I'll have to settle for 16GB at launch. I was expecting it to come in at $100, though I shouldn't expect as much from Sony
I had heard rumors about this, but I didn't want it to be true . I think this could be due to the fact that the ps vita supports playstation suite games on the android, which are mostly made up of ps1 games. Either way, nice shout-out for CTR! my favorite cart racing game
Resistance 3 can definitely be played on its own for the interaction between characters, though the story of whats happening to the planet could be lost on you. I would recommend playing resistance 1+2, though Killzone could be skipped.
You got my hopes and dashed them away! I wouldn't expect to win, but knowing that there's a chance would be good enough for me good luck to the European readers
This really is a great value, though it doesn't interest me as I already bought the old sports champions bundle. For anyone on the edge about move, this would be a great way to jump in!
@MiracleBlaze The ps vita game cards hold either 2 or 4 GB of data, so downloads for full games should fall somewhere in there. Most download only games, such as minis, don't take more than 100 mb, so 4GB could hold dozens of these small games and their saves.
I would definitely get this if it weren't for the fact that it only includes a 4 gb card. I will need something bigger (most likely 32 gb) down the road, and 4 gb wouldn't cut it for anything other than small games and updates.
This is great news, I enjoyed the gameboy version, though I never remember finishing it. This should be a good way for me to experience this game again!
This certainly sounds. . .interesting? The idea of a super precise competitive sword fight on the move sounds great, though i'm not sure if protecting an imaginary sword is for me. :/ I do like the idea of a dual where two players face eachother and actually act upon the others movements, though I suppose calibration would be a horribe(impossible) nightmare.
For me, the fact that it's on rails kills the game for me. It definitely looks interesting, but I just can't get into games where I don't have the control to move. This is what kept me from finishing dead space extraction
i would definitely pick this up for cheap if it supported move. I'm also hoping for the next mlb the show to include move into all modes and not just home run derby. Speaking of which, I still need to pick up a copy of tiger woods. . .I need more time!
I'm not a fan of the blue, though it doesn't matter to me. I plan to buy games that I'm only going to play through once or twice physically, and download games that I will always come back to so they can be with me and ready at all times!
For a battery with that much power, I would expect $60, though if Sony can push it down to $50 then this would be able to compete well with other usb battery chargers for charge time, and size
@geofri1997 what are the game you pre-ordered? I would like to see something announced from sucker punch, be it a new infamous or a new IP, but I suppose its still early to announce anything from them.
I would also like to mention, WHERES MY MONSTER HUNTER FREEDOM 3 CONFIRMATION!
congratulations to the team and here's a big thank you from a fan! I always check here first for reviews for move games that I am interested in, and that also goes for nintendolife, and soon to be vitagamr(I don't have an xbox so sorry kinectaku ;P) Keep up the great work and here's to another great year. . .with more games!
It certainly looks interesting, but if I'm going to be moving the move controller with my hand, then I would rather just use it on its own with my right hand controlling movement(I'm right handed). I would personally rather have the sharpshooter as it would be a largely different way of playing then with the move on its own, and the digitally mapped buttons are a bit plus.
I would probably pick one up if I didn't already have a capable hd tv. If the price for a larger 3d tv can come down to 500 dollars in the future, I will definitely look into buying one!
While I do think the the benefit of launching in 2011 far outweighs any benefits from the delay, I do agree that It won't be all bad for Sony. I have a feeling that Uncharted GA will be ready and available at launch because of this, and that game alone will sell this console.
I also think that it is wise to get away from the massive games list during the fall and early winter seasons. including big games for the 3ds as well as for all three major consoles. Especially another uncharted game, in what could have been the same month.
Rayman sounds great, but I'll have to see more from the Assassins creed game before I'm sold. I am kind of burnt out on the series after brotherhood failed to add much of anything from 2(and it lost the character's and stories' charm).
It is still on my list of wanted games, but I was really unimpressed with the graphics and animation. I know it shouldn't really be a big deal and game play is more important, but I'm not convinced yet that the game will be a step forward for the series. It looked to me to be much like the original; with choppy movement and basic AI.
I suppose it could have just been the low quality stream with poor frame rate that fooled my though :/
@gamrgod5 well the obvious answers would be robust online functions, trophies, and more control options(dual analog sticks mainly) granted those things are important to me but not to everybody. Don't get me wrong I bought a 3DS, and I am largely impressed with the hardware, and I don't doubt Nintendo will deliver with software. and yes, the vita does support cartridge retail games, as well as same day psn downloads.
automatic online saves should be awesome, especially with vita accessing cloud saves for certain games. auto trophy sync will also be a nice time saver. (now if only I had a 3d tv)
Very funny post! lol I couldn't help but notice that during the drive, he won on kinect but got second place with move. It must be a higher difficulty on move for elite motion control players
I just want to see more information soon, I find it strange that Sony is still keeping many features and details in the dark, (maybe?) so close to launch
How is sony going to have all this, plus multiple first party games ready by launch, which could be coming in a couple months!?! I want to see software, game pricing, and a release date soon, because I fear that the vita will either be rushed like the 3ds, or it could be pushed back into 2012
This hasn't changed anything for me. I'm still going to buy the vita, and I will still buy the 3ds, when we get a slim version(or one with higher quality hardware and a better battery). though the $170 price tag is very enticing. . .
I would like to see a slide-out version after 3-4 years when the technology has shrunken down like the psp go. I want a more portable vita, but for now I would rather have an oversized comfortable handheld, then to sacrifice comfort to get it to the size where it can "mostly" fit it into my pocket
does anyone know if the thumb sticks have "R3 or L3" buttons. I doubt they do because its on a handheld, I haven't heard anything about it so I doubt if they do, but I can hope!
