Re: Mini Review: Flashback 2 (PS5) - Disastrously Buggy Sequel Diminishes 1992 Classic

kohiba99

It is very unfortunate to have such a mediocre game after all these years of waiting, especially when Paul Cuisset is involved! I wander, don't they play their game before the release and if yes, are they happy with what they see?
Despite this, as a mega fan of Flashback I've already got the collectors edition of the game and I'll overcome the flaws just because I'm playing again in Flashback universe. A dream comes true even as a nightmare! 😜

And the wait for a 2d Flashback 3 has just began...

@JamieO Believe it or not we have a new generation of cinematic platformers nowadays. The eternal castle, Lunark and Full void (+ The way remastered, Switch exclusive)have a lot of another world/flashback DNA in them and they are great.
Unfortunately we missed the chance for Flashback 2 to give an extra boost to the genre but regardless of that I'm confident we'll see more of them.

Re: Gorgeous Pixel Platformer Lunark is Like Sci-Fi Prince of Persia on PS5, PS4

kohiba99

As a huge fan of Flashback i already bought the game to support the team.
Well this is actually Flashback with new low pixel art skin! It plays 95% like Flashback, the story so far is again inspired by classic sci fi movies and the character is wearing Conrad's clothes!
It's actually very enjoyable and quite easy for a veteran player.

@deadfred77 You're absolutely right. With all that horsepower nowadays we could have had the most beautiful and life-like 2d platform game. But no, it's only pixel art .

Re: The Last of Us Co-Creator Sparks Developer Debate As He Declares Linear Games Are Easier to Make

kohiba99

I voted open world because in a good game you can have the goods of a linear game combined with a great scenery to explore and live in.
It's very hard to achieve this but when it's done it's unparalleled.
I admit though that some of my greatest gaming experiences are linear but i always think in the end "i wish this was open world so i can live a little longer within the game".

Re: Yes, You Can Play Non-VR PS5 Games with PSVR2's Cinematic Mode

kohiba99

@invictus4000 Because in vr they use all the screen to display a real time 3d environment. In cinema mode they have to use some of the display(pixels) for the "screen" and some display for the "space" between your eyes and the "screen". Otherwise it would be like you're watching a huge cinema screen from like 1 metre.

Re: Soapbox: PSVR's Crap Load of Cables Has Put Me Off

kohiba99

I gave up on my vr a couple of years ago. The messy cables, the heavy helmet, the camera/space limitations, the low resolution etc were game breakings.
Although, i recognise it was a great, affordable effort from Sony with a true, groundbreaking virtual reality feeling but unfortunately the.. reality was stronger with this one.
Possibly i'll make one last try to experience the Paper Beast and then wait for the 3rd generation which i hope will solve most of the problems.

Re: Is It Worth Buying a PS Vita in 2021?

kohiba99

I can't believe it's a whole decade since i bought Vita! My first and only Day 1 console!
Vita was and still is a perfect portable machine with multiple great games.
I have to admit though that i it's almost five years that i don't play it because portable gaming became too small for my taste ( and lastly too hard for my eyes, 41=farsightedness😁).

Re: Sony May Be Exploring Its Own DLSS-Esque Graphics Technology

kohiba99

@SirAngry
Hmm I can see what you are saying but from my experience playing ps4 games on my TV with this mode turned on, I didn't get any actual problem besides some image artifacts in very fast camera movement.
And all I can say, it's a life-saver! I'm feeling dizzy when I forget it off and play in native 30fps.

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Has Now Shipped an Incredible 130 Million Copies

kohiba99

I was actually forced to buy GTAV recently to see what was all the fuss about and i really dont get it. In 2013-14, i can understand. But in 2018-20...
It's a really beautiful, rich game but nothing really perfect, especially in gameplay. WD2 was much more fun in that part(interactivity, npc ,hacking, shooting, parkour etc) and even Just cause 3 was better in the part of "meesing around with the sandbox" stuff.
I guess it's the online..

Re: PS5 Controller Revealed, Named DualSense with Create Button and Built-in Microphone

kohiba99

As the majority, i'm not fan of the two-tone. I would prefer a black or white and i'm not willing to pay extra money just for the colour.
Anyway, i can live with it.
As for the features, unfortuantelly we didn't see the back buttons(L4+L5) and the desirable mini screen. We stuck again with this space-eater, useless touchpad! At my 5-6 years on ps4 i dont recall any moment i have used it. Anyway.
At least, the adaptive feedback looks very intresting.
Overall, i'm ok with it. Not excited, just a little bit dissapointed.

Re: PS5 Is the Better Next-Gen Console, According to Crytek Developer

kohiba99

Come on Pushsquare, let's tranlate the translation here. He never told ps5 is a stronger/better machine. He said it's the best machine TO WORK WITH.
We all gonna get ps5 but we all know the truth. Let's not try to find needles in a haystack to justify our purchase..
We are getting it becouse we adore Sony and their games, not becouse it's "stronger and better in programming"!

Re: PS5 Specs Leak Sends the Web into a Frenzy

kohiba99

Let's be honest here. Part of the early success of ps4 was the superior hardware and that all the multiplatforms were better on it. So this is a bit of let down if it's true.We all want the best performance/version of our games.
Of course, the solid cards of ps5 will be the exclusives and backwards compatibility but I like the (most likely)approach of Micro$oft to choose the base and pro model from day one.
Let's wait and see...

Re: This Time Next Year, We'll Be Playing PS5

kohiba99

Being an Uncharted fan and having a great backlog on ps3, I bought ps4 with U4 release.
This time though and after enjoying so much my ps4 (and ps4pro), I'm so hyped that it's a day one purchase for me!
Actually I'm so hyped just as I was with my Vita after the enjoyment of the Psp!
I just don't know what to do with my backlog this time... 😊

Re: Soapbox: Why Half-Life: Alyx Is a Big Moment for PSVR

kohiba99

I believe the facts are:
Alyx WILL come to psvr2, since it's already not hardware exclusive.
Alyx WILL sell some headsets, but WILL NOT resurrect the mediocre VR success.
VR success will only come when the headsets are more accessible, meaning lighter, smoother, cordless etc etc. so about after two generations.
Imo software is already there in both pc's and ps. The hardware is that doesn't attract the wide audience.

Re: PS4 Is Now the Second Best Selling Home Console Ever

kohiba99

Here in Greece, there is a limited time sale running right now with a discount of 80€.
After some time we have black Friday, then Christmas holidays and after some months, a permanent price cut as usual at the end of a console's life time.
So I'm guessing all these will boost the low sales.
I'm guessing a top of 130 million until the end of production.
