Re: Sony Will Launch PS5 Pro Alongside PS5 in 2020, Says Rumour, But We're Not Convinced

kohiba99

I think this scenario is very possible and I don't see why many disagree with that.
Let's take the current situation for example: If someone goes today to buy a console he will have two options according to his likes. Nothing to complain here, and the current market seems to like that option, with great sales.
I don't see why Sony(or Microsoft) would change that situation next year and get back to "one console at the shelf" option.
After all we all saw that pro models coexist perfectly with base models as far as the games concern.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the New Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay?

kohiba99

The video didn't level up the hype for sure. Most possible it dropped it.
Also the graphics could look better imho. Observer is still the king in cyberpunk graphics, even in a much smaller scale.
I'm still still hyped, I'm still day 1, but until the last day I'll hope for a 3d person option.
I guess watch dogs 3 will fill that gap..

Re: Rumour: PS5's Graphics Processor Is a Monster

kohiba99

After seeing the miracle of Rdr2 on current "weak"generation I'm sure we'll see greatness on the base ps5 within the limit of 499$. Not more, I'm sure of this.
As for 60fps, I've solved this years ago with the True Motion(or similar) on the TVs, so I'm only concerned mostly for great graphics.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Nintendo Dominates in a Quiet Week for PS4

kohiba99

Let's face it, Nintendo games are always at the top because there aren't any other games at Switch, except indies. That's why the Nintendo exclusives have a far greater sale ratio than Sony exclusives.
It's not a bad thing, I'm just saying.
My only AAA games on switch is Mario and Zelda. On ps4 I'm struggling to choose between the dozens of multies and exs.

Re: Review: Lara Croft Go (PS4)

kohiba99

I had the game on my list and I started it now for something to relax. It hooked me very hard though and I finished it in two days on my Ps4. Beautiful game, easy to play with some hard challenges in the last two chapters.
I loved especially the last one which reminded me a lot the original Prince of Persia on Dos.
Thanks for the review btw!

Re: Judgment - Top Tier Yakuza Spin-Off Tells a Superb Detective Story

kohiba99

Thanks for the review!
This game came out of nowhere for me and since I miss a city exploration game since Watchdogs 2, I think it'll be first in my purchase list.
I watched some videos too but I didn't quite understood: does it have jump button, can you do some parkour at the buildings?
And also what about day cycle? I prefer to play games at day but I didn't see any daytime video/photo.
Thanks

Re: E3 2019: Shenmue III Will Not Even Hit the Halfway Point of Ryo's Story

kohiba99

Jeez, this is unacceptable!
The momentum of Shenmue saga has long gone and the players funded the sequel because they wanted their best childhood game to finally conclude! Not to start waiting again for a series of games that exists on Suzuki's mind.
If that really happens, I might not get the game at all. Which, to be honest, looks outdated.

Re: Talking Point: Is E3 Still Relevant?

kohiba99

I really don't get why many prefers youtube over a show like E3.
Like many forms of entertainment have their own big year show(Cannes for cinema, San Diego Comic con for comics/figures, etc), so does the video games with E3.
We still need that important days of the year to be more happy and hyped for our hobby, we still need the big announcements in a beautiful show instead of a youtube trailer, the happy moments like the Keanu appearance, the bombing of trailers, gameplay videos and interviews that will keep us busy for the rest of the year.
Not to mention the image of the company to the public.
Yea, a solo trailer or show like death stranding and states of play will make more noise in the silence but come on, it's not everything just numbers and they can easily coexist.
I really hope the companies will continue to support E3, will improve their shows and the Sony absence was only a bad exception.

Re: May PlayStation Plus Games Announced

kohiba99

Both great games, even if I have only played their prequels(rayman origins & heavy rain).
I guess they didn't give heavy rain because it's free with the pre-order of Detroit and didn't want to cut any sales from it.

Re: Hardware Review: PSVR Review - Should You Buy PlayStation VR?

kohiba99

Bought it with very excitement but sold it very soon. Yes the vr is there, Sony made it to offer us that beautiful experience. But just for short.
Unfortunately there are many things that spoil the enjoyment and immersion. From technicals ( low resolution, blurry image, black side boarders) to practicals ( heavy, getting wet, cable mess, tracking limits).
Maybe many can handle all these and get the enjoyment but as much as I love vr and would love to play these second bunch games, it's not ready for me yet.

Re: Soapbox: After the Vita's Failure, Why Do People Now Want Console Games on the Go?

kohiba99

Imo, the main reason why Vita was unwanted (I guess this is what we discuss and not why it actually failed) is just bad timing.
Around 2012 was the big bang of large cellphones and small cheap tablets. Suddenly vita from the main portable playing machine, as psp was, had had multiple do-it-all rivals so not many cared for a small(er) expensive tablet-like console even with its full length games. The hype was with fancy phones, fancier tablets and ps3/ps4 for games (plus ds/3ds for traditional "game boy" gaming).

Now market is more clear. We all have big cellphones mostly for internet/social use, tablets are dead, so a big(ger) portable game machine can have its place with no actual competitors. Plus the hypes of Mario, zelda, of the hybrid character and the lovable joycons, and so we have a winner!

Re: Poll: One Year Later, What Are Your Thoughts on PlayStation VR?

kohiba99

There should have been an "I owned it and I sold it" option.
In my opinion the games are here but the tech not yet.
The low resolution and the small field of view are killing most of the immersion. Plus the cables, plus the weight, makes actual gaming tiring and a lot less fun.
I believe though, it's a very promising technology so I 'll be in for the second gen in ps5.
