They sometimes make sequels to recoup the loss. Shadow of tomb raider costs 75-100 millions USD despite it being a sequel and the potential to reuse the assets from previous 2 games. That doesn’t even include the marketing cost yet. So I disagree with your opinion on game production cost.
The beauty of cosmetics MTX is you have an option not to buy it and it will have no effect on everyone experience at all whether people buy it or not.

Remember more people are pirating now and pirating is much more easier these days. Yes series like FIFA, COD use the previous asset. Even then, it is reported that it takes 3 years to make a COD games. While the tech has improved a lot over 2 decades, it takes longer to make a good game. Gone are the days of releasing RE 2, 3 and Veronica every year back in 90s and palette color swap like in Mortal Kombat. By the way, I'd choose RE over COD everyday, not a fan of 1st person shooter.

If it is just for cosmetic, I think it's fair. After all, the price of the game remains the same for more than a decade or 2, while the cost of production has soared, even if you don't consider the inflation.

I am still wishing they animate the third arc of Kenshin and can even continue with new arc after that. It really deserve that. One of my favourites ever. Also the first ever anime I watch.

So local co op only, no online coop?

I'm a PS fan. Let's say at the moment PS is allowing cross play and Xbox is not. I don't give that a darn too.

GTA online is very popular. GTA online is full of a...oles. I think most people who are whining now are just pirates. They can't pirate if it is always online.

They obviously watched the old samurai movies. These movies used a lot of shadow fights.

Very happy for this. They deserve this. Just finished today and it is 3 in the morning! I really like the game. The branching paths are very deep and the outcomes of choices are unpredictable unlike telltale game. I am sure this game deserved more than 7. Comparing this to telltale games are ridiculous as telltale games are very limited and you can guess the outcome from the choices you made. The story is engaging. I particularly like Kara's as her story is grounded and intimate. The game is not that short if you try to talk and see everything it offers even if you don't replay for another outcome. Well worth the money. Oh yeah I bought GOW on D1 too. Still haven't finished yet. Hope Quantic dreams make another game soon. That will be Day 1 buy for me.

Detroit has one of the best soundtracks. I like Kara story and music best. The game is 10/10 for me. Comparing this to telltale game is wrong in the first place. This is totally at another level.

The first one is great. I enjoyed a lot. But the second one is forgettable bland story with no mystery.

I think Tlou 2 might launch with PS5 at the end of 2019.

I'm afraid Sony's exclusive first party games (almost all are single player anyway) will be affected by the jailbreak and piracy in the future. This is very bad for both Sony and gamer like us. If that becomes too worse, Sony might even push PS5 forward. Personally I wouldn't if the console requires always online or requiring to connect every week or month.

@Splat All my library in digital except one PES 2018. True for digital the cover is not important. Still I prefer Kara to appear on the homepage. lol.
