O, Stability! O, Stability!

This was my favourite game of 2020 by a country mile. Not only does it offer an inventive take on the detective genre by allowing you to end the game at any point based on your own personal findings, it also looks amazing and features one of the best video game soundtracks of all time.

Don't sleep on this one, my friends. This is the good stuff.

@Weebleman It's more of a Zelda clone. Linear levels, unlocking new items after defeating bosses etc. It's brilliant stuff.

@thecricket It was surprisingly stable! Probably the first time I’ve played a SWERY game that didn’t feature any major frame rate issues.

@somnambulance The Missing is wonderful! I'd recommend giving that a spin. Super underrated little game.

@Danloaded The animal sections are weirdly underutilised and barely acknowledged by the game's cast. The story is a little more muted than in Deadly Premonition but it still goes places.

I had a really rough time with this but I’m happy to see it’s done well. I would be up for trying a sequel, something that expands on the original in some meaningful ways.

I absolutely loved this on PC, glad to see it’s making its way over to PS! I’m hoping that Dorfromantik, a similar puzzle-based environment builder, also makes the jump. More chill games about natural landscapes, please!

Not entirely surprised to see Hood get a discount so soon, but it makes sense. I reckon we'll see that make its way to Game Pass and PS+ before the end of the year.

The way they make both Watson and Holmes hotter in every game is very funny to me. Two games ago they were middle aged dudes solving mysteries, now they wouldn’t look out of place in a Victorian themed boy band.

I’m still powering through the original Mass Effect this weekend. I can’t believe I dismissed the entire franchise at the time, so I’ll be taking breaks to have stern words with myself in the mirror about my poor life choices.

Been holding off jumping back into this for the PS5 upgrade. Absolutely adored it when it launched last year - can't wait to check it out with the new features!

It's a shame Vicarious Visions won't be helming the next project, but I still hope Activision do something fresh with the series on PS5. It deserves a new entry in this classic style.

I'm about 25 hours into this and I am very much game for some additional content / a native PS5 version. Having a blast.

Aaaaand a few hours after reading this, I’ve just realised my trophies haven’t popped for completing the mission stories on Dartmoor and China... irritating!

I'm actually finding the PS5 version to be quite ropey in general. I'm getting frequent crashes across all levels, but Dartmoor especially freezes every 20 minutes or so.

It's a shame - it's so polished, it just seems to have a few issues at the moment!

Been looking to pick up Dying Light for years (so I'd be happy if this is true!) but I reckon it might be fake. I've been getting ads for Dying Light for the past week or so, advertising its reduced price across all platforms. Feels a bit weird that they'd be pushing it so hard if they were planning on including it in this month's lineup?

Excited to see what they do with the fifth instalment. I have a real soft spot for 3 and 4 and as much as I wanted to like Agents of Mayhem, it just didn’t cut it for me. Hopefully we’ll see more of this soon!

If you pause the presentation at any point, and just look at a static frame, this looks like something straight out of sci-fi movie. It's super surreal.
