@StrawberryTurtle yeah and switch sold 126m. You need to realize that xbox is not only a console but also windows. And you will realize that a huge game like ff16 barely gets 3m sold copies, while a niche game on PC gets almost 1m concurrent players

@species f3 and 4 were good games, skyrim is one the best games ever made.
Watered down rpg experience? more like one of the best rpgs to RP cuz you can do anything you want.

@grimgaming New? what are you talking about? Elden ring is basically Dark Souls 4, TOTK is BOTW2, Baldur's gate is DOS3 with dnd ruleset and forgotten realms lore. Elden ring and TOTK didn't risk anything. None of these are innovations. It's all evolution.

@Cloud7794 you can balance the difficulty. Like look at Ys games they are harder than any action FF game. But you can still play on the hardest difficulty right from the start. Challenging but rewarding

What they do to anime stuff is insane. Sony is not a "good" company. all they want is your money. For the players? Let's close PS3 store. More like for the payers. They've released PS5 like 2 years ago and still make games for ps4 cuz it will bring them more money. I can't blame them. @AFCC no, you shouldn't start with this one. It's a direct sequel to trails from zero. Start with Zero or Cold steel 1

Trophies is something that you need to achieve. When games give you a trophy for "you've killed 1 enemy", "you've reloaded your gun for the first time", "you died" - it's just bad and what's the point?
Achievements (scores, leaderboards) is something that was created to brag about. "yeah I've got a platinum in this game". If trophies are hard it's okay. Article complains: "wow you need to get every collectible" but that's exactly what I, my friends and other gamers were doing back on ps1. Getting lvl 100 in ff8 on the first island? we were grinding this stuff. We were speedrunning resident evil games to get costumes or weapons. And now people want a trophy for dying in a game? What an achievement

@Ravix neither PS4 nor PS5 use discs to read data while playing. They use disc to install game on your HDD/SSD and as a DRM feature. So every game is still running from your disk drive and it doesn't affect load times

@pharos_haven yeah it's not really connected to the previous game except for some characters. But if you like how this game looks and you have at least a potato PC you can start with Trails in the sky
Or if you know Japanese and you have a Vita you can play Trails in the sky EVO version on Vita.

@Voltan ND were using only a dialect of Lisp. Lisp is not a low level language. And using your own version of something is not that uncommon.
