Definitely a new ip...as good as many PS4 games are I hope we aren't going to see remaster after remaster,the upcoming gen will be provided richer and fuller gaming world's for sure but let's hope Devs can match the power of the new consoles with new ideas

How many people would be invited to a ps5 reveal event? 1000 maybe...the rest of the gaming world would watch a live stream which is no different to a digital reveal

@jdv95 lets hope the final ps5 design is a clever as the series X when it comes to the casing and how the components fit inside and how cooling is handled because it really is clever...still think Sony will follow a similar design to the series X which will probably be the trend for consoles going forward from this upcoming generation

@Zachary_98 watching the DF tear down video of series x the design works brilliantly well and cooling shouldn't be an issue...not sure how Sony would keep things cool with a traditional console design...ps5 day one here by the way but Sony lack of ps5 news(apart mark cerny telling us we might be able to send pics of ears to Sony)is a bit concerning but I guess they will show all when they are good and ready.

Still say the ps5 casing will adopt a similar design to the new Xbox regardless of how the ps5 dev kit looks,the series X dev kit is massively different to the console they have been showing off

Hope Sony have handled BC as well as Microsoft appear to have done

I like the simplicity of the inventory and the fact that armour doesn't have levels,everyone has the same armour...has a lot going for it especially if they start to mix things up(amount of players in a squad for example)like they do with the mp playlist

@Gmork___ inventory system is really simple too which is nice

LL cool J!...can't wait to give this a try they got so much right with MW hopefully they can continue that with Warzone...said it before still plenty of room in the BR market for something that's been done well

PS5 news will come when Sony are good and ready but let's be honest here Sony's silence in general has been a thing for months and months now so it's nothing new.

@parvaz1 pretty sure MS have said they will be using rdna2 but who knows...just wish Sony MS would speak and end the rumours

@JJ2 if it's a tower then why lay it down? Don't quite understand ms thinking behind that..the PS4 is quite a bad design when it comes to cooling it's GPU is underneath the console with the fan pointing down with literally millimetres of clearance between it and the casing...if Sony are keeping the ps5 flat I can't wait to see a tear down of it and see how the components are placed also can't wait for someone to tear down the series x

I still think Sony will take a similar path to MS when it comes to how the console looks,if ps5 is at the same level of power as series X I don't see how Sony will keep things cool,in fact wasn't there an article (rumour) a couple weeks ago saying that Sony were having cooling issues

Seems like Sony are still in the process of finalising everything (specs,price and stuff,pretty much like MS)11 days left in Feb now so it could still happen but I think a later date is now more likely

@JohnnyShoulder it's a weird one because I don't rebuy any pc games when I upgrade my gpu and I think in most cases that's how PS4/ps5 should work,play a PS4 game on ps5 with a graphical upgrade and quicker loading times for free as we previously own the game

@leucocyte being saying the same thing for ages... series X high end,high price,series S lower spec and price with PS5 sat nicely in the middle with a good balance of performance and price.

Definitely not more than £449.

Can see where he's going with this actually and anyone that's tried project X cloud will agree how brilliant it is

@Shepherd_Tallon stream the games you own with max settings and rtx,going to try metro exodus later,ray tracing is used really well in that game

@bigbadboy333 yea I know but there will be the inevitable ports of PS4 games which Is what I was meaning,would be nice if devs on this year's PS4 games were taking ps5 into account by coding in stuff that makes the game smoother and better looking on ps5 not sure they will though..if we want the last of us2 in 4k I guess we will be buying the ps5 remaster

Still don't see series X as ps5 main competitor...and Sony strategy seems a good one but for me personally I won't be buying any new ps4 games from now on as I don't want to buy them again for ps5

Pretty sure Xbox series X and ps5 won't be in direct competition,more likely the second less powerful and cheaper Xbox will be ps5 direct competitor

Microsoft are "winning" already in one area and that's engaging the community something that Sony seem reluctant about doing and it's been like that for quite awhile now

Been talking to work mates since last summer about the shape of the new consoles,I said at the time that I thought they would go with a tower ,I was right about Xbox and I still think ps5 will be tower shaped

I'd seriously get used to looking at the design of the new Xbox as I'm pretty sure that's where Sony will be going with ps5

Titanfall 2 has been in countless sales quite cheap but it's still been ignored by a lot of people, hopefully if the leak is true then the people that have ignored it will give it a try and also boost the amount of players in the really very good multiplayer part of TF2

Would be nice to see Rockstar try something a little different and hopefully not another gta

@Ryall Yea that's what I was getting at you explained it better than me though,so when putting the PS4 disc into the ps5 a patch could be downloaded to up the settings so to speak

I would have thought that playing PS4 games on ps5 would make the PS4 version look and perform better(if the devs have coded that stuff in)a bit like going from a mid range pc to a high range pc.

So like the newly re-announced ubisoft games that will be cross gen,one version of the game will be used for both consoles,buy the PS4 version then let ps5 do it's stuff and enjoy a better looking,smoother game

Ray tracing?...i hope Sony have got a few tricks up.their sleeve because I can't see it being that much of a deal beyond slightly nicer lighting,shadows and maybe water

I'd settle for Sony being able to get PS4 bc up and running on ps5 at launch...

@Porco absolutely nailed it and it's Exactly what I've been saying to friends at work...I really think Sony are being vague about ps5 and from reading around it's seems they still haven't decided what they want to do with ps5

Why would I need to buy gran turismo again?...I don't re buy all my games on pc when I upgrade my gpu.

@jdv95 a couple of years ago I said to friends that E3 as we know would be finished and it seems that with next year's E3 that's exactly what has happened,isn't it being billed as a "media,fan and influencer" festival or did the changes not get approved?

Yesterdays news was underwhelming, personally more interested in how the console will look and how it will be kept cool and quiet

All yesterdays ps5 news seems a bit underwhelming...hope things will get better when more details about the console itself are revealed.
