I don't feel like this is getting overlooked, it's just a game for people interested in building their own mini-games through a set of pre-created assets. That isn't going to appeal to everyone.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Except I didn't blame PS+ though. I'm saying the titles lose value as they go on the IGC, then no one buys them afterwards and that doesn't create a healthy shopping space for NISA.
They're going with what works, can't fault them for that. NISA supported psvita when Sony would not, so I imagine it causes a strained relationship when they're knocking all these games outta the park and Sony thanks them by burying psvita further and giving NISA games away through PS+
You go with the platform that treats your titles like gold, not the one giving them away in hopes of gaining more subscribers while leaving you in the dirt.
Sigh, at this point every gamer has a personal saga with this game.
I started not liking it at all on release. Then liking the story tweaks after about 8 months, but felt the DLC and combat sucked. Then preferring Comrades to everything else. Then not caring about anything regarding this stilted FF entry.
They're stepping it up by bringing bigger titles. Bloodborne has been the real primo addition in 2018, and while I think Knack and Mad Max are mediocre, they're still full games and that's good.
They missed an opportunity by not promoting the God of War remasters through PS+, especially with this being the last year of PS3/Vita inclusion.
I just wish the TV apps could be treated like games, that way I could just have a folder named TV and be done with it. But nope, gotta pucker your lips for the all-mighty ad space
I can only really get excited for 99Vidas, looks like a fun brawler. Mad Max was very repetitive and the combat left a lot to be desired...overall a meh selection.
Should've had God of War Collection for either PS3 or vita to drum up excitement for the upcoming game. But nope, they keep getting stingy...so give us friggin' Q*bert and Toy Home -_-
...EA Vancouver? They must've shifted some ex-Visceral staff over to that dev because they aren't known for much outside of sports.
Anyway, this has to be the worst usage of one of the biggest IPs in history. Two very mediocre shooters with lootboxes....to an open-world game with lootboxes. Disney needs to reach out to other devs and make games for all-ages, EA shenanigans and Lego Star Wars aren't cutting it.
@Matroska There is no physical PC release for SoT, so this is just counting XBO physical sales. Worth noting: It had a 2 day lead over Ni No Kuni2 and A Way Out.
Well that puts me at ease, didn't know how involved we would have to be in controlling Atreus. His role looks like a mix of the counter button in the Arkham games and Ellie's brick-throwing. Been getting more and more excited to play this.
I mean, he worked on God of War 1 and directed God of War 2. It isn't like Sony gave a big check to some random guy from Crystal Dynamics...they have an over 20-year relationship lol.
@AFCC Completely agree. It was the perfect b-movie set up for a combo-heavy brawler.
Saw a video where he fought a titan, nothing but legs in the camera view which makes it hard to see incoming attacks. Camera-wise, they were thinking Arkham when it should be more Bloodborne.
Meh, pretty much own most of my favorites across PC, Sony, and Nintendo platforms so that's a skip. Would be more interested in taking these on-the-go.
I'll take a guess at it being an open-world game, which would be a huge jump for these guys development-wise. Their job openings suggests something that requires building lots of items and high quality character models with fluid animations.
...But Smash Bros' kinda fits that bill too, so who knows.
Heehee, mixing SKUs I see. The PS4 and 4Pro sold that many units, two separate products. Base PS4 could've sold the same as in previous years, but adding another SKU to that isn't being true to market numbers.
Sony are quiet about it because this isn't anything to boast about. Two products reached decent sales numbers, that's all.
Hmmm, I was hoping for something a little less menu-heavy this time around but can't really complain.
Maybe I'm just outgrowing these things, the time and mental energy it takes to play these huge open-world RPGs has me thinking "why not spend that energy on real life" lol.
I'm good, still have both PS3 and Vita copies of this. Would totally pick up MGS1 HD if it released on PS4 though.....then I'd probably have to get this collection again
@notdead Twin Snakes is a great remake, but only on GameCube with an expensive copy. Folks here would like it on their PS4.

Re: Feature: Dreams, the PS4 Exclusive Everyone's Sleeping On
@get2sammyb I get what you mean, but everything showed very much looked like LBP stuff. The Galaga-style game, the sidescroller, a walking simulator.
These things can be sculpted to look unique, but they are very much assets working in familiar ways.
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: PS4 Falls Further as Japan Suffers Seriously Slow Week
Monster Hunter stalled more than I thought, figured it hit 2million by end of February.
Re: Report: Sony's Mark Cerny Is on the Road Talking PS5 with Developers
"These are all the PS5 features that'll come to the system...2 years after release. Like, folders and custom wallpapers!"

I don't feel like this is getting overlooked, it's just a game for people interested in building their own mini-games through a set of pre-created assets. That isn't going to appeal to everyone.
Will make for interesting Twitch streams though.
Re: Co-Op Adventure A Way Out Has Already Sold Over 1 Million Copies
That is awesome. I've been holding off on picking up a copy but we've been starved for a good co-op game. It is time!
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying God of War?
Got it pre-ordered and cleared out my Friday work schedule just to drink this beautiful game in. So ready.
Re: PS5 Is a Long Way Away, Or So Sources Say
....Think I'm done here lol.
Re: PS5 Unlikely to Launch in 2018, Says Michael Pachter
Whatever, It's all ballpark predictions that lead to nothing but baseless speculation. A fart, in digital form.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V Has Made More Money Than any Other Entertainment Product Ever
Makes sense with how long they've been in sales charts across the years. And of course the MT-focused online mode.
They kept it as an evergreen software title, how you should do it. Congrats on the achievemnt!

Movie was fun at least.
Re: Spider-Man Gets a Pricey PS4 Collector's Edition
While the mini-artbook is disappointing, it's really the statue that perked my ears up. The first PS4 CE I'll pick up in a long time.
Re: God of War Director on Campaign Length: 'What Have We Done?'
That sounds great for a 100% run, but I hope the story doesn't go too far past 15 hours. Some plots can overstay their welcome.
Re: Spider-Man PS4's Release Date Has Been Decided
Sweet! This would be a perfect summer game after the E3 hype. I'm more excited that this is an Insomniac game, love their work.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Far Cry 5 is No.1, Biggest UK Launch Week in Franchise's History
Wow, Sea of Thieves still in the top5. That's a surprise.
I'm betting GTAV will be at the top of the charts again in June-July. Testing out a UK sales theory

Eh, not a fan of the genre or tone. I continue to wait for The Last Night to get my cyberpunk fix.

Re: Round Up: A Way Out PS4 Reviews Stage a Prison Break
@sinalefa I would say it's about 5-7 hours long depending on your play style, with replayability only really being to experience the story again.

Re: A Way Out Breaks Free with Cinematic Launch Trailer
Picking this up for some co-op with the wifey, looks like a good time. I'm expecting to see reviews pop up between today and tomorrow.
Re: Monster Hunter: World PS4 Patch 2.0 Out Now, Unleashes Deviljho, Adjusts Weapon Balance
That's nice, but after checking out the armor set I don't see the point. Was expecting more than 1 monster in the update, oh well.
Re: No Load Screens, No Camera Cuts in God of War Seemed 'Impossible' Says Dev
Absolutely can't wait.
Re: The Gorgeous God of War May Receive a Photo Mode on PS4
As long as I can take screenshots in-game I'm happy. Photo mode is just a bonus.
Re: February 2018 NPD: PS4 Wrestles Hardware Crown Off Nintendo Switch
Wow, what a well-rounded NPD chart. PS4/4Pro took the top hardware sales, while Switch and OneX drove growth in the industry.
Here's hoping all three wow us at E3, the first 3 months have been great so far.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 211
It's all about Yakuza Kiwami and Super Hot this weekend.

Re: God of War's First Unedited Gameplay Footage Dazzles on PS4
I love the crowd control but not a fan of that pulled-in camera. It's still a toss up for me, looking forward to reviews.

Well that makes me really excited for E3, looking forward to the line-up. Until then, I'm all about MHWorld and God of War.

Uh oh, I'm getting old
Re: Josef Fares' A Way Out Has Gone Gold
Ehh, I was into it when first revealed but everything shown off since then has looked pretty boring. Like, Kane & Lynch2 boring.
Maybe something worth picking up on a flash sale.
Re: Art Pop Musician Grimes Appears at Death Stranding Studio, Sparks Speculation
Lol, art pop. So pop music, but with colors and product placement!
No clue who she is but more power to her. Here's hoping this thing is actually revealed to be a game eventually
Re: Action MMORPG Tera Enters Open Beta in March on PS4
Couldn't come at a better time, I've been craving a new MMO to play on consoles.
Re: Sony Announces My PlayStation, a Browser Based PSN Portal
Hopefully this is a small step towards getting custom icons everyone can see, and the ability to change usernames.
Re: New BioMutant Video Gives a Brief Glimpse at Gameplay
Good stuff, the more they show the more interested I am.
Re: Kingdom Come Launch Issues Noted, Should Be Patched in 'Approximately 2 Weeks'
Expect another huge patch then, the amount of bugs my buddies are bringing up just won't get cleared out in 2 weeks.
Re: Kingdom Hearts III Gets a Fantastical New Trailer, Confirms a Bunch of Things
Wow, that's a great trailer. Not invested in KH3 at all but this piqued my interest enough to pick up one of the PS4 collections.
Re: Is the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Sneaking to PS4?
I'm good, still have both PS3 and Vita copies of this. Would totally pick up MGS1 HD if it released on PS4 though.....then I'd probably have to get this collection again

The meaning of concept art is to match the art style in-game...otherwise it's just art.
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Has Undergone Some Big Visual Changes, Reports Say
Lol, the very same website has some pictures of the images on this page: https://gematsu.com/2018/01/final-fantasy-vii-remake-concept-art-debuts-final-fantasy-30th-anniversary-exhibition
It looks like they added a cel-shaded art style to the characters, kinda like BotW. Likely to make the game leaner.
Re: The Witcher Dev Will Be at E3 2018, Lending Weight to Cyberpunk 2077 Rumours
I think it'll show up at E3. Gamers are absolutely ready for a new cyberpunk game and CDPR know what they're doing.
