@Ralizah "Nevertheless, if you actually venture outside of your Sony bubble, you'll notice almost nobody in Nintendo fan communities is actually upset about this game. Some are even looking forward to it."
Isn't it interesting when a comment like this ages so badly?
Ni No Kuni, Granblue Fantasy, NieR Automata, Sword Art Online, Naruto Ultimate Ninja and Ninja Storm, One Piece, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Drakengard 3 and many more, are also Breath of the Wild clones, according to you that is.
Weapons break in Days Gone; definitely BotW clone.
You can use swords in Sekiro; BotW clone 100%
FE: Three Houses has cell-shade art style: BotW clone
Red Dead 2 is open world; also a BotW clone.
If anything, it only goes to show how generic Breath of the Wild actually is.
It's just that MCU has set some serious standards and although biased, it's understandable why people were expecting them to at least look close to the Hollywood version.
Gameplay-wise it looks really solid, it reminds me of God of War a bit, so on that regard, I think it's perfect.
I can definitely see why people compare it to Breath of the Wild, but please... This one actually does it right! I saw a few dungeon gameplay, good stuff. Except for that character swap mechanic, I hope that's gone.
@Giygas_95 I'm the opposite. In the past, he used to be the voice of reason. Hell, I would even use his arguments when talking to friends. Now, I don't know what happened but ever since the Switch, something changed. He just talks out of his **s with no accountability. You may notice this when he talks about Stadia — it just reeks misinformation. For someone who calls himself "Review Tech", he awfully knows nothing about tech.
Imagine Marques Brownlee having a phone review channel but has no idea how a phone operates, can't explain why OEMs took said-decision during R&D and why this is the final design. He'd be a joke, that's how I see RTU today, as a joke. Sorry, for dragging you into this super unrelated topic lol
@Giygas_95 really? Did he by any chance say "This price is probably not accurate, but knowing Sony, it most likely is. Don't forget to get cutting edge gamer with 40% when Code: FATcucumber is used".
@Ralizah Right? They could use the Dualshock's full potential with the touch pad and the sixaxis gyroscope. But I guess, it's up to us to tell them we want those features.
Isn't that common sense? Both companies are out here trying to make money; they have families to feed — it seems a bit odd to wish for one company to fail, so the other can prevail.
You don't want one company to lead the market, that's how you end up with an irreversible monopoly (i.e. YouTube). Let them both win.
Personally, I want them to acquire Shift Up. : : S H I F T U P : : http://shiftup.co.kr/
Currently in development of Project EVE
Mobile developers of NIKKE: The Goddess of Victory
Mobile developers of Destiny Child (surely you seen this).
They clearly have a vision and acquiring this studio would definitely come with some caveats, i.e. not censoring games. Not a very popular Studio, so it wouldn't affect the gaming market.
Basically, the same thing I said about the Switch. The technology already existed, there's nothing original about the hardware. For a developers, new unique hardware is what thrives motivation. If they are just working with slightly PC parts, how's it different from just working on a PC?
Both use the same specifications, so I highly doubt it'll be much more powerful than the Xbox Scarlett. Also, apparently, it'll no longer be about graphics, but programming. Very excited for that.
I don't think E3 is irrelevant, it's just not what it used to be. E3 used to be the most looked forward gaming event of the year, big news and all, but with the innovation of the Internet, you can have an E3 without booking a single venue.
Baseless rumour on old and outdated information. Kojima mentioned his new game would be a timed exclusive, however this was stated BEFORE he had Decima Engine.
Decima Engine is a proprietary engine developed by Guerilla Games. Before Kojima, it had no name. Kojima Productions helped develop further the engine but it still proprietary to Sony Interactive Entertainment and currently has no compatibility to run executable files on Windows. Until Dawn is not on PC specifically because it was developed using Decima. Supermassive Games is using Unreal Engine 4 for Man of Medan because they wanted to make a multiplaform title. Decima is incapable of running on Windows.
You can have a look on the list of titles made using Decima and see that there's a consistency in development. By the way, in order for Decima to run on Windows, they'd need a compiler, which I don't they have given the nature of the engine.
I wouldn't want them to buy a company that makes more money without them i.e. Platinum Games, Insomniac. If those companies want to stay independent, it should remain as that.
My picks, however:
Shift Up
JP Games
Access Games I'd place Kojima Productions here, but that won't happen.
I don't see how that's an improvement. In what instance would one purchase a game and not downloading/ play it after?
In the world where I purchase Skyrim and play it. I will only realize how garbage is by playing it. I think it would be better to keep that and add if you played/ downloaded the game, you have 48 hours to apply for a refund with a critical reason.
@madcow78 In addition, this trailer is telling a story. Most elements shown are details that has been revealed or that we know that fit the theme of this marketing marvel.
Games like Dreams, Concrete Genie, InFamous didn't make the cut. Doesn't mean they're coming to PS5 or PC.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Wreckfest Can't Catch Up with Astral Chain to Claim Number One
Meh. Personally not interested. I did want it at first, but it just looked like another Platinum game and I haven't even finished NieR Automata.
I got Control instead. If it helps bring Alan Wake 2, I'll support them.
Re: Death Stranding: Timefall Is a Collection of Songs Inspired By the PS4 Exclusive
I can't imagine Sam Bridges listening to Major Lazer.
Re: Sony Scoops Yet More Awards at Gamescom 2019
Sony needs to properly market Concrete Genie. It doesn't deserve to be slept on like Gravity Rush 2
Re: Days Gone 1.4 Patch Adds Gyro-Aiming, More Challenges, and General Fixes
Finally!! What's the point of having 3 axis gyroscope and 3 axis accelerometer if it can't be used for shooting?
Re: XIII's Cel-Shaded Visuals Still Feel Unique on PS4
A cell-shade game? Must be a Breath of the Wild clone.

It'll be on PS Now for PC. There!
Moving on.

Re: Genshin Impact Off-Screen Gameplay Doesn't Do Zelda Comparison Any Favours
It looks nothing like Breath of the Wild.

Re: Decay of Logos Is a Zelda-Like Experience Coming to PS4 on 27th August
Based on the gameplay I'd say it's a mixture of Dark Souls and Shadow of Colossus.
Nothing in here looks like Zelda — of course, I'm talking about Traditional Zelda. Not the generic 3rd person open world that was Breath of the Wild.

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony's ChinaJoy 2019 Live Stream?
@Custom1991 I figured, Playstation could have showed off a bit. Maybe a bit of Project Eve, it wouldn't hurt lol

No Granblue Fantasy, sigh....

Re: Guide: When Is Sony's PlayStation ChinaJoy Press Conference?
I know it's China-joy, but Project Eve, Granblue Fantasy, ANNO. I'm expecting some news on these.
Re: Don't Believe European Retailer MediaMarkt's Sky High PS5 Pre-Order Price
People like ReviewTechUSA will still bash Sony for this price point, even though it's not official.
Some people should not have the ability to walk or talk or make videos for that matter.
Re: Hands On: Concrete Genie Plays to the Strengths of Sony's First-Party

That is true. Sony knows it better than anyone the world will not well receive game streaming cough PS Now cough
But they will in 5 years time. Internet of Things is the future after all.
Re: Sony Looks to Be Locking Timed Exclusives for PS5
I guess having your own Trade Show at the start of the year has its benefits.
Not the kind of practice that makes you look good, look at Epic Games (situation is different, Epic Store is free to use).
