Re: Genshin Impact Off-Screen Gameplay Doesn't Do Zelda Comparison Any Favours

Callmegil

It looks nothing like Breath of the Wild.

Ni No Kuni, Granblue Fantasy, NieR Automata, Sword Art Online, Naruto Ultimate Ninja and Ninja Storm, One Piece, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Drakengard 3 and many more, are also Breath of the Wild clones, according to you that is.

Weapons break in Days Gone; definitely BotW clone.
You can use swords in Sekiro; BotW clone 100%
FE: Three Houses has cell-shade art style: BotW clone
Red Dead 2 is open world; also a BotW clone.

If anything, it only goes to show how generic Breath of the Wild actually is.

Re: Marvel's Avengers: We'll Always Be on Someone's Sh*t List

It's just that MCU has set some serious standards and although biased, it's understandable why people were expecting them to at least look close to the Hollywood version.

Gameplay-wise it looks really solid, it reminds me of God of War a bit, so on that regard, I think it's perfect.

@Giygas_95 I'm the opposite. In the past, he used to be the voice of reason. Hell, I would even use his arguments when talking to friends. Now, I don't know what happened but ever since the Switch, something changed. He just talks out of his **s with no accountability. You may notice this when he talks about Stadia — it just reeks misinformation. For someone who calls himself "Review Tech", he awfully knows nothing about tech.

Imagine Marques Brownlee having a phone review channel but has no idea how a phone operates, can't explain why OEMs took said-decision during R&D and why this is the final design. He'd be a joke, that's how I see RTU today, as a joke. Sorry, for dragging you into this super unrelated topic lol

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Won't Take Away from Sony to Achieve Success

Callmegil

Isn't that common sense? Both companies are out here trying to make money; they have families to feed — it seems a bit odd to wish for one company to fail, so the other can prevail.

You don't want one company to lead the market, that's how you end up with an irreversible monopoly (i.e. YouTube). Let them both win.

Re: Feature: Which Studios Could Sony Realistically Acquire?

Callmegil

Personally, I want them to acquire Shift Up.
: : S H I F T U P : : http://shiftup.co.kr/

  • Currently in development of Project EVE
  • Mobile developers of NIKKE: The Goddess of Victory
  • Mobile developers of Destiny Child (surely you seen this).

They clearly have a vision and acquiring this studio would definitely come with some caveats, i.e. not censoring games. Not a very popular Studio, so it wouldn't affect the gaming market.

Re: PS5 Is 'Hard to Get Excited About', Says Platinum Boss

Callmegil

Basically, the same thing I said about the Switch. The technology already existed, there's nothing original about the hardware. For a developers, new unique hardware is what thrives motivation. If they are just working with slightly PC parts, how's it different from just working on a PC?

Re: Rumour: Death Stranding Is a Timed PS4 Exclusive, Coming to PC

Callmegil

Baseless rumour on old and outdated information. Kojima mentioned his new game would be a timed exclusive, however this was stated BEFORE he had Decima Engine.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decima_(game_engine)

Decima Engine is a proprietary engine developed by Guerilla Games. Before Kojima, it had no name. Kojima Productions helped develop further the engine but it still proprietary to Sony Interactive Entertainment and currently has no compatibility to run executable files on Windows. Until Dawn is not on PC specifically because it was developed using Decima. Supermassive Games is using Unreal Engine 4 for Man of Medan because they wanted to make a multiplaform title. Decima is incapable of running on Windows.

You can have a look on the list of titles made using Decima and see that there's a consistency in development. By the way, in order for Decima to run on Windows, they'd need a compiler, which I don't they have given the nature of the engine.

Re: Sony's Digital Refund Policy Takes a Welcome Step Forward

Callmegil

I don't see how that's an improvement. In what instance would one purchase a game and not downloading/ play it after?

In the world where I purchase Skyrim and play it. I will only realize how garbage is by playing it. I think it would be better to keep that and add if you played/ downloaded the game, you have 48 hours to apply for a refund with a critical reason.
