Seems they tried to take a leaf out of reddit's book by the looks of it.

How does this work? Do you have to buy them for PS4 OR PS5? or do you get both?

Now pleaaaaasee give me a PS5 Slim. It's either that or I have to buy a completely new tv cabinet.

When I get a PS5, Ill get it. This convinced me to buy the next console.

What I find strange is the way they confirmed or announced it. Why couldn't they just make it a little more exciting, like a logo somewhere or even something official online.

to be honest I wasn't ranting. The series-x, for example, seems to be more powerful and yet it's design is more compact.

I know its not Sony's call if they release GTA 6, but it is Sony's call to focus on original titles instead of remasters, remakes etc...

So far, I still haven't seen a new title that convinced me to buy a ps5.

I think Sony should admit they lost the battle and should focus on trying to win the war.

One of the many reasons why I don't want a PS5 is because of how massive (and ugly) it is. I can do ugly. But massive is too much.

I travel regularly and I carry my PS4 Slim with me, (even the PS4 Pro is easy to carry). The truth is that the PS5 is just impractical

So maybe Sony should to something about the console itself and make sure that the thing is landing in the right hands.

Then it seriously needs to stop thinking about remastering things. For example: the fact that one of the main headlines of the showcase event was GTA V Enhanced instead of GTA 6 (or a completely new title... you get the point)

Sony can turn this around. But it needs to show willingness and commitment (so far nowhere to be seen)

I've been a Playstation user all my life, its the only console I ever had.

In a year or so I will upgrade and for the very first time, I am seriously considering Xbox. Hope that won't happen.

It's main focus is just that. Ripping itself apart. Over the past months we have seen: its new console nowhere to be seen, little to no new projects, focusing on remaking its old titles, porting its titles to pc, losing original platforms to its main competitor and what are we left with?

A complete manure of a game like the Last of Us Part 2. Because no matter what wanna-be jouralists and game gurus say. That game was a hate letter to its fans having just one aim in mind: pointless agenda and very poor, conthrived story telling.

It's very clear what Sony's aim is: kill PlayStation.

I think part of the hate stems from the gta v fatigue players have. People want new. Heck if I had seen something new I would have bought this as a show of support And to pass the time. But after seeing no gta 6, gta v on ps5 and the trilogy price tag??? Oohhh hell nah

Indeed they will not announce GTA 6 for at least months before GTA V on ps5 has been fully digested by the community. Then maybe, just maybe ,they will announce it.

Even 2024 is starting to sound optimistic. I'm fast losing interest though

I hate the game ... it's got nothing to do with LGBT.

The writing was poor, characters were severely under developed and most of them pointless. I never cared for most of them because I already knew what was going to happen to them (especially Abby's friends).

Yes, because it was one of the greatest games I ever played.

But I will not purchase a PS5 specifically to play it. I am not interested to purchase a ps5 to play games released almost a decade ago (GTA V and LOU).

And I will most certainly not purchase it first hand or at a premium, given the absolute repugnant story of the second installment and the brazen media coverage and support that it got from 'media houses', this site included.

Which makes me wonder. Is this being done to cover some of the damage that the second title did?

Me? Why would I want their game to flop? I adored every game Naughty Dog has produced up until Last of Us 2 which I believe has had a very poor story.

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't play their next game or hope it would flop. I'll simply buy it second hand or borrow it.

So? The fans who voted for the awards are not representative of all fans and those fans alone will not drive the sales of the next title.

Gaming journalists are not journalists, they're writers who bend themselves to please companies to get recognition.

I have yet to see an honest and impartial review for this game from these so-called 'gaming journalists'.

To date, the best review of the game comes from youtube, RennsReviews. The lad provides a balanced review as to why the game is brilliant from a mechanical and design aspect, but is simply not a 10/10 material.

The true judgement to the Last of Us will come on the next release by Naughty Dog, when the players deliver their judgement in terms of purchases.

Its not 0/10, but its not 10/10 either. If you fall in one of those categories. You're either a gaming ''''''journalist'''''' or some sore loser.

Of course I am aware. But what i gave you is a solution whilst having coffee. You can think of more measures. Like Banning accounts created in the past year, accounts that are seldom used etc...

Easy: Limit the Console sale to 1 per PSN ID. To buy it, you need to 'use' your PSN ID.

It's likely a person has different PSN accounts, yet not in the same region. You tackle that by not shipping overseas.

People who give the LoU2 10/10 are as bad as the people who give the game a 0/10.

i think as a game its worth the price it carries. The only things i dont like are:
Some times the game is quite hard and the check points are not perfectly placed.
Tawna's hook or whatever really needs improving.

Having played roughly 6 hours I can confirm that the game is well worth the price tag it carries with it.

Its not 'more of the same', they really took it to the next level. Based on the original games (even some old sounds are there).
Its really really well made.

I would pay 70$ for this over Last of Us 2 ANY DAY (which was essentially ND taking a crap on his fans). In fact i'm glad i never bought it. just borrowed it from a friend who doesn't even want it any more, so he sold it.

i'm starting to lose interest in ps5.

Idiots.Changing a stupid game name won't help anything. Why don't they also rebrand the cordyceps virus to some alien invasion, considering they already crapped on the story.

All this pointless stretching and waiting is making me lose interest.
I have no intention of buying a console that I can't even carry with me in a small luggage at least which has no real killer title yet. The only title I really want to play is Spiderman MM. But I can definitely wait until at least the slim version is out at this rate. I'm not going to buy a massive console so that i can play gta v again.

What you said is all true. But having played all the games you mentioned, I need to emphasise two points.

The creative team behind all of those titles has left Naughty Dog under, lets say, strange circumstances.

Let's come to this title. it has been shrouded in controversy and there was not ONE mainstream reviewer, that gave it a good, honest and unbiased opinion. This website included. The journalism I have seen on all websites is appalling.

I am now close to the end of last of us part 2. I have never seen such confused story telling. Irrespective of whether you like the character named abby or the fate of the character called Joel. LOU part 2 was a game

• Split into three disconnected parts. As soon as I warm up to Ellie, I start playing as Abby in what feels like a completely different game. The Lev story starts off as very interesting, i empathise with the kid, but ultimately where does it go? nowhere.
  Ellie has a nice story going in the background with her mini love triangle. Where does that go? Nowhere. Dinah and Jesse are sooo under developed. I won't even go into Joel.
• The 'cure' and situation with the virus is completely thrashed.
• The seraphites are a completely pointless faction as they give nothing to the game except some background to the lev story. not too much.
• Whilst i applaud the artistic and design aspect of the game, its toooooo long for nothing. I wander aimlessly for no reason.
• I have said it before and I will say it again. Jesse, Dinah, Manny, Mel, Owen. Completely wasted characters. no development.

I'm currently in the last 4 hrs of the game i think. This game does not deserve a 10/10! All things considered, its hovering between a 6 and a 7. 7 so that I am not unkind.

What do i mean by all this? The artistic team that gave us all the titles you mentioned are not what will give us future titles. Its the one i mentioned above. And when I play the game, just now. every minute i spend, i feel sad and hopeless for what the future will give. Just like this game, I will wait and see what will happen. At best, I'll borrow the game.
