Re: Mini Review: As Dusk Falls (PS5) - Creative Character-Driven Drama

I don’t really understand what the gameplay is here. Is it just a visual novel? Are there investigation/puzzle elements like the games made by the studios compared at the start of the review? Do you walk around environments at all like you do in those games? The screenshots show you making choices and interacting with the environment, is that the extent of the gameplay?

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Gets 18 Minutes of New, 4K Character Class Gameplay on PS5

@QualityGeezer The main story of the first game largely plays out exactly as you would expect from the first ten minutes. However, there’s a few missions after the main story ends that deal with how the world works in terms of creation and divinity that might come into play in the sequel.

However, it’s impossible to know if that will have any impact before the new one is released. You could always consider looking up the ending if you’d rather save yourself the time.

If, like me, anyone is tempted to get Inscryption and want the stars reward for buying it, make sure you to onto the reward on the app BEFORE you purchase and click start on the challenge. Otherwise the purchase won’t count as completing the challenge and you can’t undo the purchase to redo it. Learn from my mistakes!

@colonelkilgore I loved Sam Witwer’s performance in Day’s Gone, it was one of the best parts of the game for me (and Day’s Gone is my game of the generation for PS4). However, having seen Sam Heughan in SAS: Red Notice (or SAS: Rise of the Black Swan if you’re American) I think he could be a very good Deacon, so if it couldn’t be Sam Witwer (I assume becuase he’s not a big enough name and to differentiate the project) I’m glad it’s him.

Re: Dying Light Dev Is Making an Open World Fantasy Action RPG

I know it says it'll be vastly different from dying light. But I actually think keeping the first person, fast paced movement ideas would be cool for a fanatsy game. Since so many of them are third person and/or have verry standard movement and traversal. I hope they use some of what they've been praised for with dying light to bring something unique to the genre.

Re: Konami Just Had Its Most Profitable Year Ever

Honestly, I know a lot of people have bad feelings towards Konami, but I'm actually happy about this. I've heard good things about the Yugioh game and even though eFootball didn't launch well, the progress Konami have made with it so far is promising.

I'm much happier that its video game branch is doing well rather than still being left almost completely unused as it was a few years ago.

I know some people feel the need to denigrate Konami everytime they here it's name because of their unamicable parting with Kojima and they made some bad choices with a few franchises. However, I think it should be recognised that Kojima is doing fine, it hasn't exactly hurt his carreer in the industry and Konami has been putting out some good products these past couple of years.

Maybe it's time to let go of the hate, I don't think it's good for the industry to hope any dev or publisher fails.
