Where is Final Fantasy VII remake? Supposed to be a one year deal right? What happened to that? Oh I get it. It’s okay when Sony can be vague and not give a definitive answer but when the shoe is on the other foot, then it’s all of a sudden a problem or poor business etiquette.

@wiiware Sony doesn’t mind keeping Final Fantasy off Xbox so why should Xbox be concerned with Sony’s uneasiness regarding COD? Turnabout is fair play where I’m from.

I’m honestly not even mad. I’ve got my PS5 so I’m good. And I can’t say I’m surprised by this. Sony has been doing questionable things all gen long and as bad it is sounds, I don’t see them going back if and when the fan base voices their concerns.

And right before the big end of year releases start to roll out. This could turn away a lot of sales.

I think all of them had something good to offer. For state of play, I really liked the Final Fantasy stuff and RE4R. For Xbox showcase, Starfield, Hideo Kojima reaffirming his Xbox project and the Persona series announcement were the highlights imo. And Capcom having SF6. As gamers, the next twelve months should be pretty sweet for all involved.

@Akurusu very embarrassing display from the PlayStation community yesterday. They were on here, twitter, and every other platform leaving major hate behind in the their wake. I love PlayStation as much as Xbox and Nintendo, but you won’t see me behaving the way some of these yahoos behaved. Just disgraceful.

Everyone can sleep a little easier now that the “crisis” has been averted lol.

Only got 6 right. And most of those were guesses.

Rumors are hinting at something bigger than an Kojima Productions acquisition. What could it possibly be? Hopefully we find out soon!

I would love to be able to play Resistance and Killzone on PlayStation 5! I missed out on those at the time cause I was playing 360. Please make it happen Sony!

You can now officially add Star Ocean: The Divine Force to this list as it was confirmed this morning on Siliconera.

I think at this point it’s expected to sell well. Even take out the fact that Microsoft bought Bethesda and now Activision. Xbox has been really aggressive so far this gen but I don’t see these moves tipping the scales in it’s favor. If one of these moves involved a high profile Japanese studio like a tri-Ace or a Platinum Games acquisition, then I’d be a little more concerned because then I would say that Xbox is targeting its most weakest territory. And since Sony has the Japan market along with Nintendo, I don’t see Xbox overtaking it anytime soon.

People go where there is variety and originality.

I didn’t see anything from these buyouts that suggest Microsoft is going for anything other than more shooters and western rpgs.

I miss Resistance so much! One of my favorite PlayStation franchises it’s a shame they don’t see it as a viable series to bring back. And sadly it appears Days Gone will suffer the same fate. Heck, I would be fine if they would release a remastered collection for PS5. I might have to search for a used PlayStation 3 after this disappointing news lol.

It was very easy for me. I downloaded it last night. Uploaded my saved data and was good to go.

@UnlimitedSevens you have my attention in the notion this game could be a MGS remake. I would love nothing more than to see that become a reality. PlayStation has so many great games to choose from it’s massive library to introduce to a new generation, and to provide its original audience a trip down memory lane. I know I for one can’t wait to see which game they’ve selected to remake. Sony about to send off 2021 in style!

I’m not entirely sure what to make of this. I’m a little skeptical at the moment on how I feel about this game. I wish developers would start using more actual gameplay to sell their games instead of relying on cgi or in-game cutscenes.

Gameplay looks okay but not a fan of the banter between the girl and the accessory she’s wearing. It feels out of place for a game like this.

It was good. Definitely surprised by the Wolverine and Kotor remake announcements. I was hoping for something from Silent Hill or Metal Gear news or possibly a release date for FFXVI. Fingers crossed for a Tokyo game show announcement!

Sony needs to respond. They continue to sit ldly by while Xbox grabs all the headlines, they did this during the lead up to the launch and its happening again. As far as I know they don't have any scheduled shows and no e3 presence once again amd with all this negative feedback lately, they need something to regain the publics attention in a more positive way.

The teardown of Japan studio, the $70 price tag on all first party games, and the overall lack of Information has, I assume, placed some doubt in would be Playstation 5 adopters. Hopefully all of this will blow over and Sony will announce something that makes us wonder why we were even worried to begin with.

This is wild! This is a gut punch to Sony. No other way around it. How does your main competitor get the jump on you by having a game previously exclusive to your console, get it free on their subscription service? Gamepass has gotten ahold of some pretty big games lately and that trend might continue if the past few weeks are anything to go by. Sony needs to right the ship and fast! Microsoft is coming for you!

@710King Very true. I've been using cloud saves since the 360 and if I remember correctly, anytime I would log in on a different system, anything I had previously downloaded as well as my progress in games would be there. Kinda sounds like Ps5 is offering the same but maybe not entirely?
