@UltimateOtaku91 The main antagonist for the game is revealed in the Trespasser DLC and I think it basically follows from the end of that, but I think it’ll mostly be new companions due to the setting of it
@Th3solution I think it has more to do with MS and their position in cloud gaming. Looking at Nintendo and Sony I don’t think either one has an actual service for cloud gaming like Xbox does. Nintendo has cloud games sure, but you still need the Switch, and sure you can stream some games through PS+ with Sony but you still need a PS4/5 or PC, but MS doesn’t even require you need an Xbox or a PC for cloud gaming, just an activate GP Ultimate sub and then you can play their games with just a phone and some TVs even have it available(though it’s not a lot). Currently as it is in terms MS, Sony and Nintendo, MS is the only one of the three that has the level of cloud gaming that they do and it’s likely ABK would be used to strengthen their position in cloud gaming by making future games exclusive to the platform(outside of deals MS has had signed in regards to COD)
Was doing DSC in Destiny 2 earlier, and someone was like RIP Zavala and I thought they were just making a joke in game til they said Lance Reddick died
I’ve got the season pass as I ended up preordering Lightfall at the last minute to play with friends, but they’ve had groups to play with for the campaign and I can promise that solo the campaign is hard and from what o was hearing in voice chat it’s hard with friends too because the game scales the difficulty of your foes depending on how many people are in your fireteam. Definitely seems doable solo though unlike Witch Queen was.
I’ve seen a number of people on different platforms hoping that this State of Play will debut a trailer for FNAF Security Breach’s free DLC update that’s supposed to release this year and I can’t say I expect it, but if it happens I’ll be excited. Maybe we’ll get to see my good pal Monty 🤷🏻♀️
Took a look at the trophies for this game and it’s MOSTLY story related, outside of story it’s just collect 30 stardust, hold 7000G at one time and 3 optional bosses that are missable if you don’t fight them before a specific fight in the game which I won’t point out for anyone who may be first timers going into it.
I’m so happy to see Legend of Dragoon finally 😭 it’s sad though that the classics catalog is a slow addition of games, but it’s better than the slow drip Nintendo seems to be with NSO.
Ended up doing the whole tasks thing for the avatars figuring that’s how you enter the sweepstakes. Found out after that I can’t enter cause I live in Canada 😂 not surprised given most contests exclude us, so for any other Canadians it’s only for UK/US residents unfortunately. Free avatars though soo
I used to own an Xbox back a few years ago around the time Game Pass launched and I had a number of Xbox One games at the time, but once Game Pass came out and they started doing day one releases for the first party games and some third party games I just figured why buy the game when I can just subscribe to play the new game and cancel my sub when I’m done 🤷🏻♀️ and I know they offer discounts on games that are on game pass if you’re subbed to it, but why would I pay for the game when I can pay a lower price to run through it? And if I don’t finish it before it leaves the service I wasn’t interested enough to buy it. I only play on my PS5 now, but the way I see GP is basically the same as Blockbuster used to be back in the day where you get to try the game out, but for a monthly fee as opposed to a per game fee, and if you like it you’ll just finish it for that low fee instead of buying it though because you don’t have a small period of time to play the game. At least with Blockbuster it was pay like $8(probably wrong on this but I’m guessing) and you get 3 days to play this game and if you want to keep playing rent it out again for another $8 or keep it late and pay late fees, or buy the game because you liked what you got to try out. I never expected that games on GP would make big money just due to the fact you can pay their monthly fee for the new game you wanna play, power through it, then cancel your subscription and continue. I plan on doing this to cloud stream their new Fable game when it comes out. Pay their fee for ultimate to cloud stream through my phone(which I can mirror on my TV) power through the game, then cancel. I understand I could always buy it to replay it, but Xbox doesn’t put out anything I’m interested in buying their console for. Anything Series X/S has that I might want to play is also on PS5, and out of exclusives I have no interest outside of the Fable game they haven’t actually revealed anything on since they just said hey we’re doing a new one. At least on PlayStation I feel that what I paid for a PS5 was worth it due to the high number of games I’ve played that are exclusive to the console(or exclusives coming that I’d have no issue paying for), Xbox seems a waste of money for a $500 console that I can just pay a fee for one month to power through any exclusive I might want to play(which is very low). ***** back in the days if 360 and PS3 at least they had some nice exclusives like Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery and Mass Effect 1(before PS3 got it through the trilogy set), now it’s just buy up studios to increase our output of exclusives without putting the work into it.
@LifeGirl I’m aware of the shenanigans that goes on currently in the collectors market, though not through YouTube or anyone on it, but I have seen comparisons between the UK and the US for the exact same thing, where a UK reseller sells let’s say a PS2 for £50(I may be over or under on this but it’s just an example) and a US reseller selling one sells it’s for £110 or so, I’ve seen that the worst reseller for video game collectors is DKOldies. It’s sad to say that since COVID all of it got worse and it’s even affecting hobbies like collecting merchandise specific to certain franchises where I’ve seen Pokémon collectors having to pay $300 for a figure that most collectors paid $30-$40 for pre-COVID, but because you have people getting into specifically to resell these things the value gets inflated to ridiculous proportions because there’s always at least one collector out there desperate enough/willing enough to pay the ridiculous price the resellers are setting. I’m kind of predicting that because of all of the artificial inflation coming from people only looking to resell the collectibles and retro video game collecting markets crashing to what I remember back when I was in middle school/high school where you could buy retro games for no more than $30
@Mikey856 Yeah it’s usually the rarer titles you’ll see higher prices for and, unfortunately, a number of games I’m looking to add to my collection are some of those rarer titles I ended up enjoying in my childhood, or it was just so widely enjoyed that resellers are charging a fortune for it(any of Nintendo’s Zelda titles are a good example of this given some of them go for $100-$200+ for CIB versions)
I’ve been trying to collect it’s just been a little difficult the past few years, mostly just due to having a hard time holding down a job. I pretty much have a list compiled for anything I don’t have currently and I’m just waiting to find it for a fair price as opposed to the prices most US/Canadian stores and resellers are looking for. I understand some games are hard to come by, but there’s no reason I need to be paying the equivalent of £150 for a game like Jersey Devil or £300 for Tomba
@Mikey856 I’m actually in Canada so, depending on what your looking for for your collection, people will price games at ridiculous prices and come up with an excuse for it to be as expensive as they’re expecting for it. Great example would be the SNES Chrono Trigger, people here want like $400-$500 for just the cartridge, but with exchange rates $300 is the actual average that it goes for, but people expect more expecting you to not know any better
@Mikey856 The fact that people are selling copies for 200-250 I feel shows there’s enough of a fan base to have it released on Premium as a classics addition. Crazy people are selling copies for that much though as I usually keep up with pricing for these things for myself and the site I use to track all of this shows that not even brand new in factory sealed packaging is selling for that much($160USD is the highest and that’s for the PAL and NA region copies with the black label)
I ended up having Rock Band 4 bring my most played game of 2022 followed by Mass Effect Legendary Edition and The Witch and the Hundred Knight, but Disney Dreamlight is creeping up on everything 😂
I’ll most likely just see if it’s being hosted here and look for updates here. I could watch it as my partner will be working during that time, but I’ll most likely be using the time to work at the platinum for Birth by Sleep, the only real challenge being the secret bosses you have to defeat with each character.
The only minus I have with this month is Divine Knockout as we’re essentially getting a paid first season early access version, which then goes FTP after season one which kinda seems like a bad choice for a PS+ game given you won’t even need it to download the game in the future.
Given the price point in USD is $200 I’d say where I live in Canada it’d be $250, so I’d rather just not buy the controller. If I needed another one and was going to pay the price this costs I’d rather just get 2 of the regular Dualsense controller in different colors given it would still cost less than this.
@LiamCroft This is why I visit gaming websites such as this one and Nintendo Life. Sure sometimes rumors that get reported end up being wrong(Like the Direct that was supposed to have announced a Twilight Princess/WindWaker HD Bundle for the Switch), but rumors are ultimately rumors until proven otherwise. It’s nice to hear about them(more read about them to be realistic) even if they get proven false later on. Me and my friend will be happy if this stuff actually comes to fruition and it’s nice to read about what MAY be at the Silent Hill event later today.
@Ravix The only games that I’m hoping to see on premium at some point I already purchased back on PS3 so I’m not even worried about getting Premium tbh given the fact Sony has mentioned if we previously purchased the games they release on Premium we can download them without the sub so realistically Extra is the best of the three tiers imo, especially given a fair number of the PS1 titles are available for purchase separately from the subscription.
I just want to say if you’re using the fact the US charges taxes on pricing as opposed to a lot of other countries, like Europe, as well as being 1:1 I’d like to point out the tax thing is also true for Canada so it just seems more like you’re going with inflation as your reason as opposed to 1:1 with Europe,
While I used to go for easy platinum trophies, these shovelware easy platinums aren’t something I would’ve even done back in that day, but I do realize the market exists because there are those who would pay under $2 for a quick one minute platinum to add to their list of completed games. It doesn’t really have that same feeling of accomplishment tbh when it’s just MASH X(or something similar) til the platinum pops. While I do have some of those platinums it doesn’t give the same feeling as getting the one for Rock Band 4, or Horizon Forbidden West, or Witch and the Hundred Knight, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Kingdom Hearts, etc just due to the fact there’s no real work involved outside of pressing one button mindlessly til it pops. I was going for those easier ones to try and keep up with a friend and then I just decided earlier in the year it’s not worth it and it doesn’t feel great so I’m just enjoying my games now and if the platinum could be fun and worth the time investment then I’ll go for it but I’m hoping the shovelware goes soon. I understand some easy platinums are just because they’re story based games that require you to play the game and maybe find a thing or two throughout your playthrough, but at least it’s not mindless.
@Nepp67 If I’m remembering correctly haven’t all the DLC(and related trophies) basically just been here’s a new boss? With the trophies being beat this boss and beat it X weeks after launch when it’s at its “strongest” yet it’s a fully priced season pass? Kinda glad I didn’t pick up the bundle with season pass honestly cause totally not worth the money imo.
I haven’t subbed to premium yet as none of the games in the classics catalog appeal to me(and the newer games I can always just buy on the cheap when sales happen), but I’ve been hoping in the first year that they add Legend of Dragoon, Tomba, or Jersey Devil, those would be my reasons to sub(or any other older PS1 games I enjoyed)
The only time I’ve ever had crash issues have typically been playing a PS5 game like Stranger of Paradise or Horizon. Once I looked up getting the face plates off it hasn’t been an issue much. The fans get clogged up with dust and it’s hard to get it all out without taking the face plates off. That buildup will also crash your PS5
Good month for anybody that doesn’t already have these titles, but for me it’s just a month with nothing considering I already paid for Crash and Man of Medan(and Arcadegeddon doesn’t interest me lol)
Seeing a lot of people getting upset about the current posted list and I’m just over here like “It says it’s not the complete list” I’m just hoping with the complete list that some of the classics I purchased on PS3 end up on the service like Tomba and Legend of Dragoon(not as concerned about something like Bloodrayne or Spyro as they’ve been rereleased for PS4 and I’ve already bought them so)
Given the fact DA4 is supposed to be releasing sometime in the next 2 years(if I’m remembering correctly) then I’m guessing the remake is going to be Dragon Age related, though I know if it is a remake there’s no chance of it being a package deal of 1&2 for PS4/5 as nice as that might be. Not unless they’ve had one team making DA4 and a separate remaking both for the past 6-7 years.
If I’m reading the updated story correctly if I found a PS Now 3 month card in the wild, would I be able to redeem that considering my only sub atm is for PS+ or would I be SOL on hoping to do that so I could have PS+ Premium til next March.
Realistically I’m hoping part of PS1 catalog includes Tomba 1&2, Legend of Dragoon and maybe Jersey Devil(though I’m not as sure if it’ll make the cut given the fact I don’t even think it ended up on PS3 as one of the PS1 classic games)
The only game in this lineup I don’t like is FIFA 22(but I don’t generally like any sports games at all soo) and I have been wanting to try Tribes of Midgard so this seems perfect tbh
Considering this is going to be a FTP kart racer, I can only assume that this will be an online only racing game against other players? No solo experience?
As a big fan of Lightning in the series it was a bit of a disappointment to see the series for XIII in the bottom half of the rankings, but I also know that everyone has their own opinion and is entitled to it. I’d personally put VII Remake(including the DLC) higher up than the original FFVII, but that’s just me. I wouldn’t even go so far as to say 28 of my rankings I’d just rank my top five.
5. Final Fantasy IV 4. Final Fantasy VII 3. Final Fantasy VII Remake 2. Final Fantasy Tactics 1. Final Fantasy XIII
@Keyblade-Dan Given how many big SQEX titles have released on a PlayStation system exclusively since the PS1 days, it seems like it would make a lot of sense for Sony and SQEX to merge into one company. Even more recently you’ve got Xbox fanboys complaining about FF7R not being on Xbox about 2 years after it’s release, just like they complained about only having KH3. By the time they even get those games, anyone who has wanted to play them already bought/had a PS system and bought the game. Also, not sure about anyone else, but when it comes to KH, FF or any other big JRPG that they produce(even Tomb Raider) it’s a series I associate with PlayStation anyways. Considering the amount of money Sony has been pouring into SQEX for exclusivity on titles like FF7R, FFXVI and Forspoken, just to speak of more recent titles, it feels like it would make sense for them to be under PS Studios anyways. Some people might be upset by Kojima’s studio not being part of PS Studios, but I personally have never had any interest in anything he’s had his hands in.
Realistically I added the game to my library and haven’t touched it like many PS+ games. And a lot of them are games I’d never buy on my own, I’ve only claimed them because they were free so…
At this point some of the leaked games that are actually in development seem to be getting revealed just to quell everything from the nvidia leak. Especially when you consider KH4 is in early development according to reports, and only some of the leaked games have been released while others only seem to be just getting off the ground in terms of development. I’d be more excited to see what they do with a Tactics remake over FF9, but I also wouldn’t skip out on a remake of 9 either as Vivi is one of my favorite characters in the series as whole, not to mention I like reexperiencing older games in newer graphics, even if the story changes as a whole due to limitations from the original system not being present on current consoles. Let’s just hope they don’t split it up into parts like they did with 7 if a remake of 9 is in the works.
While I might change the face plate color to purple in the future, considering I also want to get the purple Dualsense when I can, I feel it’s also important that anyone with a PS5 knows how to remove the face plates in general as, from my experience, it’s the only way to ensure you get all of the dust out from your console and from around the fan. If it gets bad enough it will cause your PS5 to shut off mid game(if you’re playing a PS5 game) due to overheating from all of the dust.
Fun to play if you want to just play it, if you want another easy platinum it’s like 2 hours at most, but I think in reality it’s like less than an hour to do everything in the game assuming the trophy list is the same as the Xbox achievement list(Ended up completing this on GamePass for a friend using the cloud streaming)
I’d like to know what the actual selection of older games will be available before I drop the money on a year. If there’s very little that interests me I’m just gonna stick with the base tier considering I’ll still be able to game with friends if I want to and get the free monthly games. Not to mention there isn’t any CAD pricing yet. I’m sure before launch we’ll hear about what games will be available
Though the PS+ games will be available from the 5th I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chrono Cross as one of the free games considering it’s still unavailable for preorder on the PS Store only(Xbox, Steam and eShop have had it available for preorder for quite some time now) and it’s release is only 2 days after the lineup becomes available. Iirc there have been other months where this was the case, where a game released shortly after the lineups availability date and was included as a free game.
As good as this game looks and as nice as it is that it won’t have microtransactions, I won’t be buying it myself considering the fact the money will still support JK Rowling and she hasn’t had the best track record lately. That said, I’ll totally play it if anyone I know buys it for me
@PenguinL Doing a bit of googling I found out that back in 08 they ended up becoming a company under Activision Blizzard, so it seems at some point Activision ended up with the company and the rights to the game. Seems like it’s a lot to do with the multiple corporations not agreeing to it at the same time. I’ve seen articles saying the developers would love to redo it for modern consoles, and one of the show runners would as well, but I guess Disney just doesn’t want to cash in on it maybe? Wouldn’t be surprising honestly considering the only big franchise they seem to be doling out game licenses for is Star Wars. Maybe someday we’ll get that rerelease of the game though, even if it’s just the PS2 version with trophies I’d be happy.
@PenguinL You’d think with how popular The Simpsons franchise still is to this day that the multiple corporations wouldn’t have any issue greenlighting a remaster for Hit & Run, especially given the popularity of the game itself among many video game fans, some of whom never even watched the show.
I’ve been working on the side quests and such for platinuming the game, great story so far though. I’m only about at the part where you have 3 main quests to choose from, got one of them done, but now I’m working on any side content until I have none left. I think I have one cauldron left and two tallnecks. Besides having to do the two melee pits to get to The Enduring.
I’ll be downloading Ark and claiming the rest when they become available here in NA 😂 usually have to wait til about 12EST or a little after before they let me claim them.

Re: Why the PS5's Price Hasn't Changed in USA
I just want to say if you’re using the fact the US charges taxes on pricing as opposed to a lot of other countries, like Europe, as well as being 1:1 I’d like to point out the tax thing is also true for Canada so it just seems more like you’re going with inflation as your reason as opposed to 1:1 with Europe,
Re: Sony Adjusts Default PS Store Sorting Amid Shovelware Backlash
Re: Spread Pestilence in Shattering Spectreglass, the Latest DLC for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
Re: Another PS Plus Extra, Premium Game for August Hinted
I haven’t subbed to premium yet as none of the games in the classics catalog appeal to me(and the newer games I can always just buy on the cheap when sales happen), but I’ve been hoping in the first year that they add Legend of Dragoon, Tomba, or Jersey Devil, those would be my reasons to sub(or any other older PS1 games I enjoyed)
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for August 2022 Have Leaked
I already own Yakuza Like a Dragon but it’ll be good to pick up THPS and Little Nightmares. Might never play them but if they’re free what odds right?
Re: Sony Faces Lawsuit Over Supposed PS5 Crashing Defect
The only time I’ve ever had crash issues have typically been playing a PS5 game like Stranger of Paradise or Horizon. Once I looked up getting the face plates off it hasn’t been an issue much. The fans get clogged up with dust and it’s hard to get it all out without taking the face plates off. That buildup will also crash your PS5
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for July 2022 Leaked Early
Good month for anybody that doesn’t already have these titles, but for me it’s just a month with nothing considering I already paid for Crash and Man of Medan(and Arcadegeddon doesn’t interest me lol)
Re: Sony Shares First Look at PS Plus Extra, Premium Games
Seeing a lot of people getting upset about the current posted list and I’m just over here like “It says it’s not the complete list” I’m just hoping with the complete list that some of the classics I purchased on PS3 end up on the service like Tomba and Legend of Dragoon(not as concerned about something like Bloodrayne or Spyro as they’ve been rereleased for PS4 and I’ve already bought them so)
Re: EA's Lineup for 2023 Includes an Unannounced Remake, a 'Major IP', and More
Given the fact DA4 is supposed to be releasing sometime in the next 2 years(if I’m remembering correctly) then I’m guessing the remake is going to be Dragon Age related, though I know if it is a remake there’s no chance of it being a package deal of 1&2 for PS4/5 as nice as that might be. Not unless they’ve had one team making DA4 and a separate remaking both for the past 6-7 years.
Re: Sony Blocks Subscription Stacking As Pre-Paid PS Plus Cards Stop Working on PS5, PS4
If I’m reading the updated story correctly if I found a PS Now 3 month card in the wild, would I be able to redeem that considering my only sub atm is for PS+ or would I be SOL on hoping to do that so I could have PS+ Premium til next March.
Re: Beloved Classics Will Comprise PS Plus Premium Catalogue
Realistically I’m hoping part of PS1 catalog includes Tomba 1&2, Legend of Dragoon and maybe Jersey Devil(though I’m not as sure if it’ll make the cut given the fact I don’t even think it ended up on PS3 as one of the PS1 classic games)
Re: Rumour: PS Plus PS5, PS4 Games for May 2022 Leaked Early
The only game in this lineup I don’t like is FIFA 22(but I don’t generally like any sports games at all soo) and I have been wanting to try Tribes of Midgard so this seems perfect tbh
Re: Free-to-Play Kart Racer Disney Speedstorm Confirmed for PS5, PS4 This Summer
Considering this is going to be a FTP kart racer, I can only assume that this will be an online only racing game against other players? No solo experience?
Re: Best Final Fantasy Games
As a big fan of Lightning in the series it was a bit of a disappointment to see the series for XIII in the bottom half of the rankings, but I also know that everyone has their own opinion and is entitled to it. I’d personally put VII Remake(including the DLC) higher up than the original FFVII, but that’s just me. I wouldn’t even go so far as to say 28 of my rankings I’d just rank my top five.
5. Final Fantasy IV
4. Final Fantasy VII
3. Final Fantasy VII Remake
2. Final Fantasy Tactics
1. Final Fantasy XIII
Re: Kojima Productions Not Being Bought by Sony, Says Hideo Kojima
Re: PS Plus Deal Devastates Oddworld: Soulstorm Developer
Realistically I added the game to my library and haven’t touched it like many PS+ games. And a lot of them are games I’d never buy on my own, I’ve only claimed them because they were free so…
Re: The Final Fantasy 9 Remake Rumours Return Following Kingdom Hearts 4 Confirmation
Re: Video: How to Change PS5 Cover Plates
While I might change the face plate color to purple in the future, considering I also want to get the purple Dualsense when I can, I feel it’s also important that anyone with a PS5 knows how to remove the face plates in general as, from my experience, it’s the only way to ensure you get all of the dust out from your console and from around the fan. If it gets bad enough it will cause your PS5 to shut off mid game(if you’re playing a PS5 game) due to overheating from all of the dust.
Re: Indie Hit Unpacking Moves Home to PS5, PS4 Soon
Fun to play if you want to just play it, if you want another easy platinum it’s like 2 hours at most, but I think in reality it’s like less than an hour to do everything in the game assuming the trophy list is the same as the Xbox achievement list(Ended up completing this on GamePass for a friend using the cloud streaming)
Re: New PS Plus Memberships: All Three Tiers Explained
I’d like to know what the actual selection of older games will be available before I drop the money on a year. If there’s very little that interests me I’m just gonna stick with the base tier considering I’ll still be able to game with friends if I want to and get the free monthly games. Not to mention there isn’t any CAD pricing yet. I’m sure before launch we’ll hear about what games will be available
Re: Talking Point: What PS Plus Games for PS5, PS4 in April 2022 Do You Want?
Though the PS+ games will be available from the 5th I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chrono Cross as one of the free games considering it’s still unavailable for preorder on the PS Store only(Xbox, Steam and eShop have had it available for preorder for quite some time now) and it’s release is only 2 days after the lineup becomes available. Iirc there have been other months where this was the case, where a game released shortly after the lineups availability date and was included as a free game.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy Will Be Free of Microtransactions
As good as this game looks and as nice as it is that it won’t have microtransactions, I won’t be buying it myself considering the fact the money will still support JK Rowling and she hasn’t had the best track record lately. That said, I’ll totally play it if anyone I know buys it for me
Re: Best The Simpsons Games
Re: Best The Simpsons Games
@PenguinL You’d think with how popular The Simpsons franchise still is to this day that the multiple corporations wouldn’t have any issue greenlighting a remaster for Hit & Run, especially given the popularity of the game itself among many video game fans, some of whom never even watched the show.
Re: 13 Per Cent of Horizon Forbidden West Players Have Finished the Story on PS5, PS4
Re: PS Plus PS5, PS4 Games for March 2022 Are Available Now
I’ll be downloading Ark and claiming the rest when they become available here in NA 😂 usually have to wait til about 12EST or a little after before they let me claim them.
