I love a good puzzle game. This looks right up my alley. After playing the Sojourn and Archaica, I've been aching for something fresh. This looks unique and different from anything I've played. Can't wait to wake up tomorrow and get stuck in.
I was going to buy this but nice to see it on PS Plus.
Very tempting. I've not owned an Xbox since the 360. I'll be buying the disc based PS5 but might also consider a Series S for game pass and indie titles that are not available on PSN.
I really enjoyed this game despite it's technical flaws. I do love puzzle games so this was an instant buy. Strangely, they have left the debug menu in the game. If you press L1 and R1 you're treated to a few options, graphics detail, level select, puzzle rooms (though not fully playable) and cutscenes that I never witnessed during my playthrough.
Disc version. Easy. I'll have the option of buying on disc or digital. I don't understand why anyone would buy the digital version just to save money. In the long term you'll be be spending more on digital content than you would on disc. You won't be able to trade or sell your games. Buy a game on day of release, finish it within a few weeks then take it to Cex and get most of your money back. The Last of Us Part 2 only cost me £9.
I was more impressed with the 2018 reveal which showed combat, stealth and exploration. Graphics then looked a lot better compared to this reveal. I had high hopes for this but I wasn't impressed. It didn't really show anything new or exciting. It seemed generic in my opinion.
I watched the trailer for this and it immediately reminded me of the very first scene of The Pillars of the Earth. There's even a slight resemblance to the character Tom.
I mostly agree with this review though personally I would give it 6/10. The demo was good enough for me to purchase the game and I have no regrets. I enjoyed the story and loved the music. If you have already played the demo then don't get high hopes as there's not a lot more to the final game. You're basically doing the same menial tasks over again. There are some interesting moments and it does feel like a walking simulator but as the reviewer said, curiosity will keep you pushing forward.
I've played about 3 hours of Vane. The art style and music are excellent but the controls and camera angles are frustrating at times. Controlling the boy feels sluggish. The frame rate is also terrible on the Pro. You're lucky if hits 30fps. There are few too many bugs. I've been left floating in mid air, graphics glitching, seen through walls and some puzzles are not triggered when they are supposed to. I've also been stuck where I can not move, forcing me to quit to menu and reload my last save, which there are far and few between. I have had to redo 2 sections of the game which took me 30 minutes to complete. This game feels unfinished and should never have been released as is. Surely the developers knew about these bugs but they failed to fix them before release. They have announced on twitter that the save points are one of their top priority of things to fix. I just hope they fix all the other bugs too as this could be a great game.
Just mentioning James Pond brings back so many memories. I remember coming home from school to play this game in the early 90's. Just watching videos of it now on YouTube to relive my childhood. I still remember the music. Why hasn't this been remade?
I'm currently playing Tomb Raider after finishing Spider-Man yesterday. So far I'm very impressed. I've had a full day on it today and not once did I get bored. I would say I'm enjoying it more than Spider-Man and even more than Rise of the Tomb Raider, which I did get bored of and wanted it to end. This however, feels like an improvement on the previous game and I don't want it to end. I play stealthily (I haven't used any guns (yet) and Tomb Raider is my fix until a new Splinter Cell game comes out.
If you're waiting for this game to come down in price, Cex give £36 for Spider-Man. Best to buy now and complete it in a week. It will have only cost you £10. Waiting for the game to come down in price then trading it in could mean you only get half of your money back or less.
Played around 7 hours today. Web swinging is a lot of fun. I recommend unlocking the web tricks early on. It's great fun pulling tricks off mid-air and gaining XP while doing so.

I'm sure the release date will be just a whisker away.

Re: First Impressions: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Is an Eye-Popping Demonstration of PS5's Power
It's ok Push Square, we don't need a review of this game. We can see it's an easy 10.
Re: Hands On: Why You Should Be Hyped for Returnal, the Next Great PS5 Exclusive
This sounds a bit like The Persistence on PSVR. I enjoyed that game so may pick this one up. I hope it's not frustratingly challenging.
Re: The Latest Returnal Trailer Is One of Its Best Yet
Please be good. £70 is a lot to ask for a game. I hope it lives up to expectations.

Great looking game but I don’t like the bloom effect. I wish you could turn it down or off completely.

Excellent review. I wasn't expecting a high score to be honest. Glad I pre ordered. Can you confirm if it runs at 60fps on PS4 Pro?
Re: PS Now July 2020 Update Adds Watch Dogs 2, Street Fighter 5, and More
I had never heard of Infinate Minigolf but what an enjoyable game. This makes up for my bad purchase of the truly awful Golf With Your Friends.

Is it possible to play through the entire game using stealth? Can you choose to bypass enemies if you wish?
Re: Site News: Yes, We're Playing The Last of Us 2
Won't be long now. Perfect game to play during the lock down. Stay at home. Play games. Save lives.

@Dange About 10-15 minutes long if you explore and find everything. But on my second play through it took me 5 minutes.

Just played the demo. Creepy with a few jump scares. Reminded me of P.T. Looking forward to the full release.
