Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 433

Independence day weekend here in the US! So work and then firing up the grill for some burgers, dogs and beers! Depending on how things go, might carry on with the lovely gt7. My favorite Gran Turismo game since gt3. Only like 10 menu books left... Don't want it to end... Also might carry on my very long (and boring) playthrough of Alan wake remastered.

Gt7 on PS5. I can't make progress though. Can't get past menu book 3. Need one more car but it says I need to change the tires and can't figure out how to do so... Any thoughts?? Bought deathloop but returned it cause I didn't like it. Picked up Alan wake remastered and will probably start it tonight. Never played it before so looking forward to it.

Thanks!! My PS4 died about a month and a half ago and I've been waiting for this moment ever since. I was about 1/3 of the way through horizon FW when it died too.... Currently playing Astros playroom. Console came with gt7 and ratchet and clank. Can't wait to play both but I really wanna finish horizon FW first....

Re: Soapbox: Why Do You Replay Games?

NYJetsfan123

Great topic and I agree with it 100%! I've never replayed a game. Once I finish it I put it on the shelf where it sits and collects dust (unless it has a multiplayer feature that I like). I've tried to replay some of my favorites, but after an hour or two I just get bored. Weird because I rewatch my favorite tv shows and movies all the time, sometimes daily! Just doesn't make sense to me to replay something I've already invested a ton of time into.

Same as last week....
The beautiful yet kinda boring Ghost of Tsushima. Been on act 2 for a few days now. It's so repetitive that I've been trying to tackle each mission with a different approach to spice things up a bit.

BOTW on switch lite. Started my final divine beast last night. I don't want the game to end!

Good read. If it makes you feel any better, I don't know the first rule of soccer! Kick the ball into the opponents net right?? Haha. I can't imagine coming in as an outsider to the complicated sport that can be the NFL. And it very much is a chess match! Also, no play offensively or defensively, is a win win to any scheme. But it really helps to be able to understand the coverages. Also, I really enjoy the toxicity that is madden 21! I find it quite humorous at times that people shoot their mouths off over a 1 on 1 competition haha. It really is quite challenging though. I consider myself a pretty good madden player and still get smoked pretty regularly!

Ghost of tsushima on ps4. The game is beautiful and the combat is really fun, but the story is bleh and the game is so repetitive. I just can't play every night, so I alternate with that and BOTW. I had to take like a month off from it cause I got burnt out, but I just finished my 2nd divine beast the other day. And I'm 50 hours into it! I wish there were an easier way to get rupees though. I hate having to spend hours hunting and fishing so I can purchase some of the necessary outfits on the divine beasts. Specifically the last one was the really warm outfit for rito village.

You guys are the best! Keep up the great work! The only PlayStation website I read every day! While I sometimes disagree with review scores and some of the general opinions in the comments section, it's in a healthy way. Can you run another tournament style thing like that #kratosgate thing a few years back.

Also, I second nude women haha

Re: Poll: What Other First-Party PS4 Game Needs a PS5 Update?

NYJetsfan123

@Arugula

Yeah, see, I would never replay a game for that reason. I rarely replay games anyway haha. The faster load times do sound awesome though. That's probably the biggest appeal to me right now for the PS5. But still not enough to not wait for a price drop. Plus, there's hardly any exclusives for it at the moment. All the games I'm interested in are also coming to PS4. Why bother right now?

Finished TLOU2 earlier this week. UNBELIEVABLE game! Absolutely loved it. Just started Ghost of Tsushima the other day. About 2-3 hours in. I think I'm gonna like this game too haha. And then all eyes on watching mahomes and company win their second superbowl in a row, and hopefully see Brady retire and never throw another football again.

@Grumps859

It's the perfect blend of combat, crafting, scavenging, storytelling, cinematics, etc. The list goes on. I absolutely loved TLOU1, and my expectations for two were pretty high. But naughty dog blew them out of the water haha! Im so eager to see how the story wraps up, but once it does, that means it's over....

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 361

19 hours into TLOU2. I absolutely love this game and I don't want it to end. I've heard it's like a 25-30 hour game on normal difficulty. But I also have to get to GoT and spider man mm before spring comes in April. That's when work picks up and I don't have as much time to spend playing games. Also gotta finish crash 4.

Also finally getting back into Zelda BOTW. I need two more hearts to get the master sword.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 360

NYJetsfan123

Started the last of us 2 earlier this week (finally)! About 7 hours in and loving it! Was very upset at the 2 hour mark, but I won't spoil anything. This game feels quite a bit more difficult than the first one. Although I haven't played tlou in about 4 years now.

Might also keep chipping away at crash 4. That game just gets me so frustrated haha.

Also after a month and a half break, I picked back up on zelda BOTW on switch lite. It's a great game, but I just got burnt out.... There's so much to do, but really no direction.

Also last week of nfl playoffs tomorrow! Hoping for a KC GB superbowl. Basically I'm doing everything in my power not to go outside this weekend. I'm well seasoned for the cold, but it's in the negative teens and twenties with the wind chill in my neck of the woods this weekend. Typical for this time of year... Screw that!
