Well, people kept moaning about 4K gaming, instead of actually fun games, so here it is.

How much are EA paying you to misuse the word "free" over and over?

Oof, that's going to be a bit tight getting all the discs made and sent out to stores across the world in just over 3 weeks. Especially in a pandemic.

So buy the deluxe edition to the actual, complete game. Sigh. Games are already $70 (or more); they have been for years.

Well, I did want the special edition, but at the bottom of the blog post:

@doctommaso Yeah, on its own, this isn't that much of an issue. But compared to what Microsoft are offering, it's poor.

@NEStalgia Sorry, when I said "Americanization ", I meant changing Sony's developer support so they only worked on American time and forced Japanese developers to communicate in English and during the night there. That sorta stuff. I didn't explain it that well.

@Porco I don't follow the inner workings of Sony too closely. Did all that censorship stuff and sudden Americanization of the company, whilst alienating European fans and treating Japanese devs like crap happen after this Jim Ryan took over?

This has been my mentality for basically ever PlayStation console ever. The only exception really being Sega games on the PS4, because TheGameCollection tend to sell them at launch for £40-45, and they come with nice launch-day extras.

@Shigurui The Internet Historian video is pretty much what got me to buy No Man's Sky: Beyond. It's a great video.

I loved the music in the Aeon trailer, but the devs have been treated badly, so no buy there. Tem Tem is online-only, and Genshin Impact is free-to-play, so that's a shame.

However, I can't wait to play Bugsnax and The Pathless on PS4! They both look really good!

@Matroska I'm probably biased. I still love the original, and don't really understand this "archaic design" comment. I don't want all games to be exactly the same. Eh, opinions, opinions.

So it's getting points docked for not changing everything? It's a remake, not a new game; that's the point, surely?

So basically, as a reward for buying the game, we get loads of DLC free? Nice! Only problem is I don't have PS Plus, which we need to play 1 online game to get the stuff. What's the cheapest possible PS Plus subscription I can buy?

Nah. The first game had a good story, but the gameplay was poor. So I'm not really interested.

It was a new PlayStation reveal; of course it was poor. For me, PlayStation consoles don't really get enough system sellers for a good few years. I'll do my usual and probably get the slim version in a few years with some cool exclusives when they come down in price. I am admittedly hyped for Horizon 2, though!

So, someone sat on a Wii, and Sony went, "That's it! That's the design we need!" XD

Remember kids, brutual, bloody murder and hatred is great, and love being shown is the true evil in the west.

There's enough hatred in the world these days. I have no intention to play this.

@clvr Nah, it was nothing to do with the score (7 is great), it was more the little comments like "where do you fit into our lives in 2020", and " you'll enjoy it... until you remember the repetitive nature of beat 'em ups". Just reads like someone who doesn't like the genre to me.

Unfortunately this just reads like it was written by a reviewer who doesn't seem to like beat 'em ups.

@Powerpellet This game wasn't released on the Wii. That was the 3rd game in the series, which, yeah, is bad. The first 2 on the PS2 were really good, however.

It's Koei Tecmo! They do this with all of their games. It's why I stopped buying them years ago.

It's a shame the DLC is sh*te. The worst DLC is the stuff that feels like it's been stripped from the main game; which seems to be most DLC, unfortunately.

I honestly feel like I must have played a different game. The story was pretty gripping, but the gameplay was just so poor that it was a slog just to get to the end. Nowhere near the best game of the decade. Movie maybe, but not game.

Not much point, you can't really beat the Wii's pointer controls. I'd rather see Code Veronica and poor Resi 0 remade first.

I bought the game on sale for £3 last year, for the single player content. Then I discovered that it was online-only and promptly returned it for a refund. This is why.

Once again, these mini reviews basically tell you nothing. Honestly, what's the point of them? If you're not going to go into much detail, you're as well not scoring it at all.

Sony's actions speak louder than its words.

I know absolutely nothing about the game, so apparently I've escaped the marketing and hype so far.

The graphics look incredible, but that is of the most boring, bland looking open worlds I've ever seen in a game.

"Handheld" is an adjective. It's a handheld gaming console. Both types are consoles, just one is often shortened to "console", whilst the other is shortened to "handheld". We done here?
