@Tasuki Removing comments now eh? Did I strike a nerve? You really need to relax. Also, if you can find somewhere where I made an actual personal insult, I suggest you pull it from my deleted comment and show me. If you can't take the occasional sarcastic remark from random internet person, maybe you are the one that needs to take a look in the mirror and move on somewhere else. If anyone has developed a "toxic" or hostile attitude around here, it's definitely you.
I'll wait for it to come to Steam I guess. I'm not interested in installing yet another launcher, and epic's track record with getting hacked isn't so great.
@Flaming_Kaiser There were several reports of thumbsticks going bad during the initial launch of the PS4, I've seen a couple in person, but never experienced it myself.
The plastic core sticks out through the rubber cover on the outside after a couple of years of use. I haven't seen it on recent DS4s, but it was definitely a thing at launch.
There's always one or two sites that have their reviewers draw straws to see who gets to write an unfavorable review on a popular game just to get clicks, my favorite so far being the Horizon Zero Dawn review from USgamer. The cheat code central guy didn't even really make an attempt to hide this
With everything that's happened with Gearbox since the release of BL2, is it wrong of me to be more than a little cautious of them having the ability to deliver if they are in fact making a third game?
I'm convinced at this point that when people visit the studio they don't even see the game. Kojima locks them in a room and hands them a script, along with pictures of their loved ones taken from sniper locations
I'm glad they knocked it out of the park with this one, I'll definitely pick it up down the line at some point. Too many backlog games to play right now though, if I pick this up now it'll never get finished.
Game is also maxing out high end CPUs on PC as well, this game is poorly, poorly built. I wouldn't doubt the game is causing PS4s and probably X1s to overheat excessively if it can do some serious taxing to gaming PCs.
@get2sammyb Well it's clear they had some truly twisted individuals working there if they were actively engaged with things of that nature. Hopefully they are no longer with the company, and THQ can get back to focusing on games.
@get2sammyb I've seen terrible screenshots and text on Facebook, Reddit, and even twitch chats, which are usually heavily moderated live. I'm not saying 8 chan isn't a "bad place" but honestly, everywhere they could've hosted had the potential for any sort of content.
Lesson learned hopefully, but to be honest all the things listed that 8chan are "connected" with can be found almost everywhere on the internet, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
@Nessisonett Oh thank God, I'm sure THQ is relieved that you and all the people you claim are supporting you are back in their good graces and haven't fully boycotted them
Hopefully they don't attempt to parcel this content out into $10 chunks like they did here. Either wrap everything up in one package, make your game a monthly subscription, or make it free to play, but please stop with this ridiculous setup.
@Neolit It's just the way he put it is a very strange way to boycott, because let's be real here, some kind of negative attitude and talk goes on behind closed doors at every single company, gaming or not.
Of course he's free to boycott based on whatever he wants, but claiming others will follow the same path is just odd. I could show these statements to any of my friends LBGT, and they'd most likely respond with "wow, the world is a sh***y place, what a surprise." Not a single one would boycott.
@nessisonett Interesting, so you won't buy games from a company if they openly use slurs? So if it's behind closed doors and you don't hear them it's ok to buy from them? Such an odd, odd statement.
Pretty dumb, but highly unlikely to have any lasting consequences. I'd be willing to bet 98% of people have never even been to a chan site, or know what they're all about.
The final nail in the coffin was when Casey Hudson (they guy who boasted ME3 would have multiple, meaningful endings) hopped online during launch day and said he was "proud" of the game, and the work that had been done. 6 years of Bioware's best and brightest working on.....this? Yikes.
@ShogunRok He's also wrong sometimes too, which means taking him at his word on anything until he provides actual proof (and not hearsay from a "contact") makes everything invalid until then, no matter how much his fellow peers seem to worship the pages he types on.
@Bliquid I wonder how bad the loading times actually are on console compared to PC. When I played the demo on PC with an SSD, they weren't too terrible, and a few friends said after the day one (8?) patch, they've gotten better, but are still very annoying.
What boggled my mind more than anything during my play time was the inability to swap out weapons or skills during a mission or freeplay. That seems like such a misstep, compared to Destiny or Division, allowing swaps in all but the hardest activities.
Maybe it'll bomb hard enough to get the FF14 treatment and they'll just start over. Anthem remix
Only 2 more Leon campaign S+ runs needed and I'll have basically done everything there is to do currently in RE2 remake. That and some KH3 most likely.
"They're embedded within the core gameplay loop of ANTHEM"
Which, unfortunately also means it's baked into the engine most likely as well, and while load times can be "improved" they'll never be able to get rid of them completely.
@TeslaChippie We're in some sort of bizarro world at the moment, where Ubisoft and Capcom are actually learning from their previous mistakes and making quality games again.
Having played the division 2 beta, I'd say it's a safe bet they've got a solid looter shooter on their hands, applying a lot of what they learned from the first game. It's gotten a preorder from me, which is saying a lot since I rarely do so, and even rarer on an MP game such as this.
Slightly off topic, why do most old people always have their mouths gaping open? Is it muscle deterioration? Honestly curious, but not wanting to walk up to a random old person and ask them.
I used to love Bioware, but everything I've seen and played from demos, had their best teams on this for 6 years, and this was the best they could come with? They're done
I cashed in my 14 day trial of Xbox game pass to play Crackdown 3 over this, until the few daft friends I have that bought this get tired of it, and are ready to move onto Division 2.
Anyone expecting this game, or any of the Gears of War games, or Halo, or Forza, to be any sort of evolution beyond some quality of life improvements over their previous games.....I don't know what to tell you, it's not going to happen. And I'm a big fan of 3 of those franchises, and I enjoy them immensely. But they are what they are, and will be nothing more.
All I can picture is Ramsey flipping the bird when asked to write another article on this
Also, anyone notice that if you take out the story from this and KH3 (story, ha), you've got a couple of games that took over 10 years to make and are eerily similar?
It's the same old story of the second and third place contenders doing what they can to spread bad press about the leader. Sony would be doing the same thing as MS/Nintendo if they were in 2nd place too. Sony can choose to do whatever, at the end of the day a total of -3 people will boycott them for not allowing crossplay. BC on the other hand.......
They're really expecting people to double dip on an RPG of this size and length by adding some side stories and a new soundtrack? No way. If they do bring this to PS4 and/or PC, it's probably going to be paid DLC, and way too expensive.
I'm very excited for this. Hollow Knight is a near perfect metroidvania, and I can't wait to see what Team Cherry does with a bigger budget and more experience heading into a sequel. Even if it turns out to be worse, or even just as good as the first game, it's still going to be better than most others in the genre, including the last Metroid game.
@Tasuki Nah I don't have any suggestions, they would fall on deaf ears, and I also am aware that you don't control the content. I just find the whole situation.....ironic at best, hypocritical at worst.

I can't think of one person I know who owns a PS4, X1, PC, or Switch that cares about cross play in any way, shape or form. If we want to play games together, we play them on their respective platform. How this has blown up into such a clusterf**k is honestly beyond me. Maybe because I have a lot of friends with multiple platforms available to them? I'm not knocking cross play, but I just don't think this is that big of a deal as what it's being made out to be.
I have much more invested in PS4 in terms of digital and physical games than I ever did with PS3, 2, or 1. I was pretty annoyed when PS4 wasn't BC with any of the digital/physical library I had built up before, so now moving forward, I can say with confidence that I won't be pulling the trigger on PS5 until BC is confirmed.
