I can’t see Sony ever allowing you to cash out the PSN credit you win as real money. So I guess it’s the same as every other online casino and should be no problem.
@huyi Given the butterfly design of a pro they can produce 2 slims for every 1 pro. Given everything is selling out and they make most of their money on the games. It makes more sense to make slims at the current time rather than pros.
As a curated store it’s not bad. It certainly doesn’t function as a means of discovering games or have any inbuilt reviewing structure. But I can find out what I want to buy from third-party websites like push-square and then it functions perfectly well to sell it to me .
If I were you guys I’ll be careful about wishing for a steam like store that works out what you want to play next and gives you a review for it.
If it’s sold through it print run then met expectations and there shouldn’t be a problem.
Nintendo just had higher expectations. Reasonably so since the Pokémon snap had more hype before launch. Was in going to a far higher installed base. Was part of one of Nintendo‘s biggest franchises.
@ZeroOverOne if you attached another controller it would control the corresponding party member. It was about as meaningful as tales in the sonic games. @Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy yes it did
An interesting wrinkle is that the 30,000 only relates to box copies return to CD project directly. People refunded through online stores or directly by retailers wouldn’t be counted.
@thefourfoldroot We’ve seen plenty of examples of sports league where it’s a show with nothing at steak. It tends to result in lower player wages less investment in grassroots and more profit for owners.
I can certainly see why fans of clubs going down that route would be upset.
I have the same feeling about this as I do about Resident Evil four. The game is already so good there’s no point updating it when it can already be played on the current generation.
Will get The Dark Revenant if my Vita will switch on in the morning once it’s got some juice in. It isn’t coming on even with a power cable in at the moment.
We are in a weird world right now where everything sells out. Will find out what the true situation is when one of them stops being supply constrained.
@jgrangervikings1 If support was the decisive factor the PS5 wouldn’t of just out sold the Vita when the only games that are out are the pack in and a remake of a game from two generations ago.
Sounds like the kind of game that clicks for a few people and they really enjoy it but everyone else thinks it’s bad. I probably will give it a shot at some stage but certainly not whilst it’s full price.
@nessisonett it’s all about how you define the market. Microsoft now has quite a large part of the first person western RPG market but a very small part of a video game market. Similarly if this goes through Sony will have quite a large part of the anime market but a small part of the video streaming market. Personally I’m not really worried about either.
I really enjoyed what I played of it but I got to a point where it said I wasn’t powerful enough to do the next campaign mission and I didn’t feel like grinding. I would have put in a lot more hours if it was a linear experience like to Tomb Raider.
The Trails and Ys games seem to be merging into each other. The way Ys 9 handled side quests seem very similar to trails in the sky and this combat system looks very Ys 7
Japan Studio’s needed to be split up into a number of more manageable entities. Team ASOBI and the third-party support team are clearly two of them. But I would’ve hoped they could’ve produced other teams as well definitely a horror team maybe an RPG team and a 2-D platform team.
Whilst they certainly needed to do something for way they’ve gone about it seems overly destructive and they certainly lost talented people. Who produce games but I’ve enjoyed in the past.
Sony scale have now reduced and lots of franchises have ceased just as Nintendo and Microsoft a scaling up. Whilst gravity rush wasn’t a commercial success it’s clear that the team made it was talented and their next IP could’ve been a big franchise. Trying to cut down to a core of what is already commercially successful means that you don’t get the next big thing.
A lot of the games I’m looking forward to I things like Tales of Arise that have already been delayed out of 2020. Since some work should still be happening even with remote working hopefully they won’t be delayed by more than a year and will still come in 2021.
I’ve mostly been playing PlayStation five games starting with Astro Bots and Bug Snacks. I’ve also completed pathless and sack boys big adventure. But having given up on Immortals Phoenix rising and Demon souls. I’m aware that when I complete Spider-Man it’s going to be PS4 games all the way down after that. With the possible exception of Maneater.
My game of the year last year. To understand what it is I would recommend reading a full review rather than relying on simple terms like real time RPG with slow time when issuing orders, Tower defence , sides scroller. It’s got a lot of different elements combined together in a unique way.
It has a lot of story but it’s not told in the way I would consider to be a visual novel. You’re choosing who to talk to and what to say. Rather than watching a cut out.
@sentiententity You can use your human forms dash ability to pass through the lasers. Definitely a significant difficulties spike at the end. I’m on what I think is the final bosses fourth attack pattern and I’m still trying to work out how to damage him in that one. I’m sure I’ll get there eventually.
Nothing else quite like it and definitely one of my favourites it’s fourth on my personal game of the year list. I ended up one trophy short of the platinum. Somewhere in that world there is a tablet with some law on it that I haven’t read. I’m fairly certain I’ve done everything else.
Most video games are sold on reputation rather than reviews or actual knowledge of the state of the game. Assassins Creed unity and Tomb Raider angel of darkness both also sold well but turned fans of the series and therefore all subsequent games sold less well. I suspect whatever CD project red puts out next is going to bomb.
@ShaiHulud @get2sammyb It’s a tad convoluted but if you go across to collections. The second one down is January sale. if you spend scroll to the end you can select view all which basically gives you the same screen you will get on the PS4.
@WizzNL Since the pathless is £30 digitally I would look at which one was cheaper rather than which one was more discounted. The pathless is an excellent game but I can’t speak to Valhalla since I haven’t played it.
The last time I ordered from Amazon I got a email a week later ask me to pick the item up from a post office in mainland China. I did get it eventually. But I ordered at the start of April and it arrived in the middle of July. I haven’t used them since.
Opening packs of cards is undoubtedly fun. But paying to open packs on cards on FIFA ultimate team is about the most expensive fun you can have on a PlayStation.
I didn’t realise it was every hour. But did noticed that the disk would occasionally spin regardless of what I was doing. I solved it by taking the disk out we’re not playing a disk based game.
They really don’t want any PS5 related data on anything other than the SSD soldered to a PS5’s motherboard or Sony is own servers. I suspect it’s to keep data miners away from their games and save data.
Whilst I would never consider Bloomberg’s reports to be any more accurate than a random guess let’s think about this on a theoretical basis.
1. Microsoft has just spent 7.5 billion acquiring new studios and Sony is also looking to acquire new studios an increase in spending on game development.
2. Most of its major hits in recent years have come from American and European developers.eg Ghost of Tsushima has outperformed Gravity Rush.
It might well be that Japan studios is not the current priority for expansion particular given it’s recently expanded. But I seriously doubt it’s going to contract given that both Sony and their main competitor are in the process of scaling up development.
It’s also possible that Sony development priority in Japan is mobile. Given the vast profits that they are making in that area.

Re: When Will PS5 Exclusives Drop in Price on PS Store?
Whilst there are people who are willing to pay full price but haven’t been able to find a PS5 yet I think the prices will remain high.
No point leaving money on the table by giving a discount to someone you don’t need to just because of scarcity of the console.
