I can't be the only one who's incredibly excited for this game, right?
Considering it's a cross-PS3 game, I wouldn't expect amazing PS4 graphics, but none of the Tony Hawk games have ever had amazing graphics. It's always been about exploring the skate parks, finding secrets, and having fun speeding around combining tricks for a high score.
As for the physics, they look fine, the speed and trick execution looks similar to the PS2 games, loads better than the HD remake.
I've come to accept that the Vita is a legacy device, and have grown to love it for what it is. It's the only handheld that lets me play games from my childhood on the go, as well as loads of fun, cheap, and quality indie games.
I hear this game is supposed to be like the first 2 Doom games where you run unrealistic speeds and just mess up, with the horror from Doom 3 as a secondary element. As a fan of the series, I'm willing to bet this could be the best Doom game ever, since it has all the right elements.
So glad the game was delayed. I mean, I would have preferred if the movie and game could launch correctly and on time, but if it was on time then it sure as hell wouldn't be done correctly so far.
That said, I still have No Man's Sky (considering it doesn't get delayed), Doom 4, Tearaway, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 and maybe Battlefront to occupy 2015 for me. Hopefully Sony announces some exclusives for this holiday at E3, because Until Dawn just isn't gonna cut it.
Honestly I can't wait, I never stopped loving the Pro Skater games and I welcome this PS4 entry. Hopefully they go all out with crazy ideas; I heard there's gonna be hoverboards in the game too. Imagine a zero gravity THPS (Kinda like Mario Kart 8).
Show me some gameplay, Activision.
By the way guys, it's in the background of the picture in case you didn't notice.
Remember how Rayman Origins started out as a 3 episode PSN game, but was changed to a full retail game to save people's money and to deliver a better experience?
This is literally the exact opposite of that process.
I'm currently working on a project that may or may not appear on PS4. If it were to appear, would I be blessed with this awesome check? Or is it only for 1st party people
Game design wise, yeah, Slender has never been good, but I do enjoy playing it with some friends. The atmosphere is great and the panic of an unpredictable Slender always chasing you is true horror, even if it can be extremely cheap at times.
I bought this on PS3, any word on wither or not this is cross-buy? I'd probably drop another $10 just to support the developers and to have a fun little horror game for PS4, but it'd be nice to get it for free.
Am I the only one that doesn't think a FFVII remake would be the greatest thing ever? Sure, it'd be great to see a classic reborn for a new generation, but it still wouldn't capture that PS1 era style and it'd only be new for so long.
If it were to be made, I'm sure it'd be great, but I think that upcoming FF game will be better than a FFVII remake would have been.
I've seen the game (Not first hand), I've gotten information on the game (First hand), I can answer a lot of questions.
First off, the game looks almost as good as the movie. Ratchets model is pretty much the exact same as the film's only with a bit less fur detail, and the shading looks more like A Crack in Time's cell shady tone.
Second, the game will play a lot like Into the Nexus. You can upgrade your weapons, health, etc. Most of the main weapons from Ratchet & Clank 1 will be returning (Like the Blaster, Devestator, Pyrocitor, etc.) with redesigns and upgrading, and the returning planets will roughly be the same only with PS4 graphical updates and different level designs.
Third, Micheal Bross has been confirmed to be making the game's soundtrack, and it's somewhat inspired from David Bergeaud's soundtracks.
I like how one guy out of the several people that showcased the game on YouTube said it was five hours long and everyone listens to him but not the several other people that say it was easily 10 or so hours on a normal playthrough.
Also, the guy that played it in 5 hours was playing on easy mode and rushed through the game pretty quickly. For instance, you could easily and quickly beat MGS3 on Very Easy, but if you played on Normal mode it'd take much longer because enemies would pose a serious threat.
I'm still surprised they didn't remaster Ratchet & Clank Into the Nexus for PS4, or even port it as a launch title. That game looks amazing and a 1080p 60fps version would be in my collection immediately.
Maybe Ready At Dawn is working on Resistance PS4 now that they're finished with The Order?
Regardless of the developer, as long as it keeps what made the series so good (Open level design that embraced exploration, fun weapons, interesting story, varied enemies, etc.) I'd buy a Resistance PS4 game day 1. The series left on such a high note in R3, which was one of my favorite games on PS3.
@k_andersen You know he's been confirmed to be a younger version of the actual Dante from the other games (DmC takes place a few hundred years before DMC3)? By the end of the game he matures into the Dante we all know and love. It's a decent origin story but there are a lot of new plot holes because of new events but that's how the DMC series has been since the anime was made, they really don't look ahead when writing their stories.

This is shaping up to be the best R&C game of all time. I'm hoping this kicks off as a reboot and gives a fresh new start for the series.

SO looking forward to this. Glad it's $40 for what's basically a $60 worth game (Just like Ratchet & Clank PS4)

Rayman Origins and Legends on Vita is pretty great if you haven't gotten it yet.
Freedom Wars is also a blast

They gave me another Tom Clancy game.
GG, will buy the fractured but whole day 1

Um, this article is a bit wrong, the game is $39.99 ($40), not $49.99 ($50)

Re: Ubisoft's E3 2015 Press Conference Gets a Date and Time
I wanna see Rayman in 3D or Prince of Persia.
Re: Ubisoft's Got a Secret Triple-A Title Up Its Sleeve
@johnny30 The last 2 Rayman games were 2D and low budget.
3D Rayman games (Rayman 2 & 3) were the prime of their time though, and AAA. That's why this could possibly be another 3D Rayman game.
Also Rayman 1 was the best selling PS1 game of all time in the UK. It was low budget but that shows how popular Rayman is.
Re: Ubisoft's Got a Secret Triple-A Title Up Its Sleeve
@johnny30 3D Rayman games have always been AAA. In fact, they made most of Ubisoft's money before the likes of AC.
It's also worth noting that after Rayman Legends was released, Ubisoft Montpellier became a AAA studio again.
Re: Ubisoft's Got a Secret Triple-A Title Up Its Sleeve
A next gen PoP game would be awesome!
Unfortunately out of all these awesome games, it'll probably be Watch_Dogs 2 or something we don't want.
Re: Ubisoft's Got a Secret Triple-A Title Up Its Sleeve
@TheEmerlLad Ah, yes. I would also settle for that, however BG&E2 had already been announced.
Re: Ubisoft's Got a Secret Triple-A Title Up Its Sleeve
If Rayman 4 is revealed at E3 this year I'm gonna cry tears of so much joy
It's already been confirmed by Michel Ancel that Rayman would be coming back in 3D so it's not impossible either.
