@Gamer83 Here's how to not be disappointed in the gaming aspect of your life then: expect 1AAA game a year from each of the big 3. Because you expect only this you decide to hold off from buying the new console day 1. When you eventually buy the console a couple of years down the track you are pleasantly surprised that there has in fact been more than 1 game per year and you are very happy.

Either that, or understand that there are always teething issues at the beginning of a consoles life, Including, but not limited to, game shortages.

@Gamer83 you have been posting on many articles how disappointed you are in the PS4 and the current-gen. Not sure if to take your last comment seriously.

@charlesnarles Indie "fad" die off!? I think you will find its only the beginning. Have you not been witnessing the closure of many major publishers over the past few years? The fact is that many AAA games were (are) becoming incredibly stale and actually lacking in quality due to the incredible development requirements. Not liking indies is perfectly ok (obviously) but the reality is that they are pumping some much needed life into the industry. Creatively and artistically. Both AAA games and indies will live happily side by side and we will all be better off for it.

A lot of ps now games wont work well on Vita due to its different inputs. It may even be that the majority of games wont play well.

MLB is a great game for vita. Pick up, slog a few balls and put it down.

In addition to all the other reasons i think this is a bad idea, this game is just not suited to a handheld. I really think Sony just dont get handhelds. I get the want for an fps on a handheld but this game is way too large for bite sized play. Online co-op?? How is this appropriate for on the move gaming. This game is clearly designed for a home console.

I dont see it being a success. I think a purchase system would work better. There are a couple of old gems I want to play again but I'm not going to pay a monthly fee to access them. And Patcher is right.. Who is going to pay for this service for a long time?? People that want to keep playing old games over and over? Even if i did subscribe, I would play the games I like and then cancel my subscription

@charlesnarles It was glorious. Wouldn't mind going again on a ps3 for some big screen, couch action.

@BornOfEvil I have already given him the tip to not buy a 4K tv this year.

@Gamer83 I think its pretty clear by now that you are having an issue with this new gen. You clearly made a mistake by choosing to be an early adopter and now are having an issue with fairly normal activity for a product that is only JUST beginning its long life. Do you think that near the end of this year we are still going to be hearing about ports? Not nearly as much. Please do a quick Google search of the pros and cons of being an early adopter and you will see that these issues are not isolated to Sony, ms or nint.

@Gamer83 It's also not rumor or speculation that the ps4 is a mere 3 months old into a lifespan of about 6 years. Here's a tip - Don't buy a 4K tv this year.

This game was way too cool when it came out. Recently replayed it in on PC with hi-res texture packs and at 2880x1800 and had a great time.

I admit i dont know much about the infamous series but I cant see any connection between the game and condoms. Am i missing something?? Seems like a very very peculiar decision.

@Gamer83 have you never experienced a console launch or something? Just imagine the ps4 doesnt exist until 2015 and you will be happy. I bought a retina macbook pro the day it launched and a lot of apples apps were still not optimized for it. Its the downside of being an early adopter. Its completely normal in all industries

@get2sammyb Yea I guess im just thinking of other countries rather than the UK and US who have had a strong uptake of ps4. There are still a heck of a lot of ps3s out there. I actually think its probably a smart move as most ps4 owners probably picked up fifa14 (because of the "drought") and wouldn't be willing to buy another football game so soon.

With remote play and playstation now, i feel like they really missed the mark with not including r/l 2 on the vita. Whats really suprising is that Cerny designed both vita and ps4. Fumbling around with crappy controls is what the vita is supposed to eliminate compared to its competition (tablets etc)

Wow, I really like innovative gameplay mechanics but that just looks tedious.

Im guessing its on every ds4 due to the ps4 initially being planned to launch with the psEye. Now its worthless to the majority of ps4 owners. Personally I would have preferred if the ps4 was launched with the eye because now there will be virtually no support for it.

I think the end product is going to be great. The concepts sound good and they are obviously being given the time they need. The delay should have been handled differently though - as in not announcing a delay right before its supposed release.

This would have to be my most anticipated ps4 game. Really hope its the game that makes me need to buy a ps4. I never got around to playing the infamous games but that new trailer didn't do anything for me at all.

@Gamer83 There's no need to be worried about Sonys first party offerings. Yes the PS4 might be encountering a drought but what new console doesn't. Look at the ps3, especially as of late, and remind yourself of how great Sonys offerings are. If you have an issue with post launch droughts then its best to not buy for quite some time and enjoy the continued ps3 support. I don't think there's any reason right now to believe the PS4 is in trouble.

Gears was actually my first "ahh glorious next-gen" moment on xb360 so I do have a soft spot for it. Similarly, COD MW first gave me that feeling on ps3. Will never forget that.

@Gamer83 I feel ya man. I just think that this behaviour is not exclusive to Sony, it seems like all the major 3 are making promises (admittedly I dont follow xbox news) and then not following through. I have said it before on this site but I really do wonder how close to breaking consumer guarantees laws this sort of action is. DriveClub a launch title?? Come on.

Why are (what im assuming are) the rumble motors not symmetrical on each side?

I imagine Bungie will deliver on this. Personally I prefer brighter colour palettes so visually im not that into it but im sure it will be a good game nonetheless.

A huge range of nintendo's games could not be played with a DS4. Sure they could just create and publish "traditional" video games and they would sell very well on a Ps4, but I for one would be very sad if nintendo stopped experimenting with gameplay/controls.

This looks like good news to me. Considering the drop across the board, Vita's performance is solid.
The Vita TV on the other hand is dead dead dead. Small bump will come from ps4 release and then will be back to the bottom.

Vita certainly has games so its a bit tiring to hear that still from some people, its exclusives its lacking and im not sure Unity support will help that too much. More ports are still not a bad thing I guess.

@get2sammyb I seriously hope thats not the case. People who purchased a ps4 are expecting this game ASAP. It was after all touted as a release title.

Have we seen actual gameplay footage, like someone with a ds4 actually controlling the game? I cant remember...

I guess my definition of "roaring trade" is slighty different.
Vita needs solid exclusives and lots of them. Not ports, not indy games that are available on PC for a fraction of the price. Hardware is driven by exclusives.

FFXIII gets my vote. The ps3 still has so much life left in it. Its looking to be a very successful transition for sony. Both ps3 and ps4 are most likely going to sell well in 2014. Thats a heck of a lot more than what Nintendo has achieved with their transition. I will probably be changing countries again next year and with so much value currently (and coming!) I think I might pick up a cheap ps3 and then flik it off before Christmas.

Im just going to comment this here: This is a very exciting time for Sony and recently they have been making all the right moves, across all its divisions.

@get2sammyb they have stated a dual shock 3 is required for PS Now on every touch screen device. Sorry I cant remember where i read it for a link.

@get2sammyb The differentiator for sure. Still sucks for people who want the best with the best. Im sure Sony have analysed the costs and benefits a heck of a lot more than I have.

@KALofKRYPTON True, forgot about ps1 games running on ps3. As for the rest of your post, thats pretty much what i meant. First batch ps3s only.

I really hope its not tied to sony only products. I would buy a ps4 because its the best game console. I stay the hell away from Bravia tv's because, well...

Same goes for their smartphones.

@JaxonH not to nit-pick because I do understand your argument but i think its worth mentioning, the only nintendo home consoles to have backwards compatibility are wii and wii u. And the only sony console was PS2 except a few ps3 release units. Backwards compatibility is certainly not the norm you make it out to be.

Backwards compatibility in a console is a bonus, not a right. If you want to play ps3 games you already own for free then use a ps3.

I think its absolutely crazy that some people have any issue with this service or its subscription method. It seems like a great OPTIONAL service.

@Tasuki my guess is it will be very similar to how nintendo handles their VC. Lets hope its not.

Will this hurt or help the Vita? It's a hard one.

Haven't played it, want to play it, hopefully a ps4 port happens as I doubt I will be buying another ps3 when im settled. Sounds absolutely fantastic.

It was a bit unfair to include Nintendo in my post as they are great for backwards compatibility, so my argument doesn't really apply too much to them.

Gosh, this is going to sell poorly. It was a strange/bad idea in the first place but now after the ps+ promotion it is doomed. Sony with the Vita makes my head hurt.

Good point about the 360 converts. Gaikai is not going to let us play every ps1,2 and 3 game for the same reason all gamecube games are not on wii u VC... Money. They want to remake all our favourites and charge full price again. Nintendo is notorious for it and ppl keep buying.
