Doesn't this show how entitled we have become? We are moaning about loading times? If it hadn't been this it would have been something else.
I sometimes feel that if God came down from heaven and delivered the perfect game us internet people would be searching, searching and searching some more for something to moan about.
There are things that we have cause to moan about - loading times aren't one. A re-acquaintance with reality is needed I think for some people.
I have played FF 13-2 and FF10. As much as I like RPGs and I liked the two games the thing that puts FF to the bottom of my shopping list is the fact the boss battles are annoyingly bad.
For example I loved the Lady Yunelesca boss battle which involved persistence and some choice of strategy. But then you got the later boss battle where if you didn't kill it in so many moves then you died. You also had to go through the slog of getting your characters into overdrive mode - unless I was doing it wrong - if you wanted to survive. FF 13-2 was okay but the final boss battle was again a pointless slog where you could battle for a while, get to the point where you were close to beating it then die in one hit.
My prediction is that they will surprise us with the line up. They will announce that March's games will include DriveClub and The Last Guardian. In other news George RR Martin will announce he has finally finished The Winds Of Winter.
What doesn't help is bad level design or bad controls.
Kick and Fennick is a prime example. A platform game where the jump mechanism is both fiddly and hit and miss. You can also add Assassins's Creed where the run and climb operates from the same button which leaves you climbing when you don't want to.
I think we will start to see a lot of the big Vita games released on PS4 over here. It will be Vita for the Japanese market and PS4 for the Western market. By doing it on cross-buy then both markets are tapped.
If cross-buy is the only way to get games like Phantasy Star Nova released in the West then so be it.
I disagree with the Gravity Rush 2 prediction. It will come out on both consoles. The PS Vita for the Japanese market and the PS4 for the Western market. We will probably get GR2 only on download for the Vita in the West.
It makes no financial sense not to release the on the Vita, which sold 1 million in Japan last year, in Japan.
The strangest thing was how many people didn't know that by unchecking the connect to the internet box you were able to play in offline mode. I discovered this myself when my own ISP went down.
I couldn't load Dragon Age and AC Unity wouldn't load missions. After unchecking the box they both worked.
Wasn't this something that they should have made sure people know about? Is this on any support pages on their various websites. I got thanked by a couple of people on another website I post on as they clearly had no idea of this work around.
I must be the only one who has no interest in games on the Xbox and Wii. I am a one console man simply because the Playstation has more than satisfied my needs since the Playstation 2. Who knows maybe I had been a couple of years later I would be an Xbox fan. ATM there are no Xbox exclusives that grab me and all the games I have wanted is multi-platform.
I know there was questions about Gravity Rush 2. This tweet from October shows it is still being made. I hope the twitter account is kosher. Can someone confirm? This could be the Vita game of 2015 if all goes well.
It has been, and will be, a mixture of Dragon Age Inquisition and Freedom Wars. May even have another session of Unity. I have Monday off of work so I have extra time to play.
I have had the fall through the floor issue and slowdown when climbing but that hasn't spoiled my enjoyment of the game and they should be fixed.
What is vexing me is the amount of time I have to spend staring at a black screen due to the crippling loading times. I thought the next generation was going to end this. Shadow Of Mordor didn't seem to have this problem or, at least, they hid it better.
To clarify I meant that Sony have given up trying to promote the Vita outside of Japan - it is the same as Microsoft probably having to call it quits in Japan.
They are focusing solely on the consoles in Europe and America but in Japan the Vita is not dead. It is the PS4 that is struggling in Japan.
How much longer are we going to get this bad journalism?
The Vita is not dead. Not in Japan anyway where it is set to be the second best selling console over there this year. The simple fact is that Sony are not going to bother promoting it over in Europe and the USA where it will be met with mere indifference no matter what Sony does.
Etch this onto your cerebral cortex - The Vita is in rude health in Japan but Sony are wise enough to sell consoles where they will sell consoles and handhelds where they will sell handhelds.
Vita is doing good business in Japan where it is the number two console behind the 3DS. Hence a lot of Japanese games for it whilst the pathetic Western developers treat it as badly as they do the Wii U. They should be ashamed of themselves.
I would like to hear a European release dates for Freedom Wars, Gravity Rush 2 and Phantasy Star Nova.
I would also like to see dates for Metal Gear 5, Persona 5 and more on Dragon Age Inquisition - hopefully a PS4 bundle so I can treat myself to the new game.
They are more interesting than FPS games (to me). Although that could be because I have the reflexes of a dead squirrel.
Why anybody would want to play FPS games on a Vita is beyond me. They are only ever fun in multiplayer mode and if you are online you generally are at home where you can play games on a big screen.
This series has actually been the same game repeated three times. I only played Infinite because it was free on PS+. Levine is just whiner and a greedy one at that.
I'd rather play the decent games we are getting for Vita from Japan. Currently enjoying FFX (first time for me), have Child of Light waiting and Freedom Wars and Gravity Rush incoming.
Who needs Bioshock with its boring, regurgitated "plot" anyway?
I wonder whether this is the reason both Sony and Microsoft are pushing subscriptions. Will the likes of Playstation Now in future be replacing the need for individual sales and allow a greater diversity of gaming?
Surely the cheap way to go is to buy one card depending on your budget 16gb or 32gb and then use a PC to store any further games until you are ready to play them,
The sad thing is that it does have AAA games coming. I call both Freedom Wars and Gravity Rush 2 as AAA games. It also had Borderlands, FFX and Football Manager released this year all three AAA games.
It is a case of a desire to knock the Vita and shoddy journalism. Rather than doing what it should be and promoting the machine the industry journalists are more interested in getting page hits for knocking it - the same fate has hit the Wii U as well.
I love both my PSP and PS Vita. But let's be honest here - whilst Sony have to look at their pricing, especially over the memory cards the Western third-party companies have to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. They have not exactly covered themselves in glory. A GTA game would sell well on the Vita and so would a Bioshock game but there seems to be no desire to make these games unless Sony bend over backwards to accommodate their increasingly insupportable demands. The Japanese companies put them to shame.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 62
I have finished Dragon Age Inquisition and Sly Cooper:Thieves in Time.
I am trying not to buy Bloodborne or Toukiden as I haven't really got the spare cash. But I have just got paid....

Please tell me that isn't in this FF game.
Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition's Success Doesn't Guarantee a Sequel
Would love another Dragon Age game.
Can we get Isabela back for the next one please?

Re: Feature: What Are the Stories That Will Shape PS4 and Vita in 2015?
So why would Japan Studio move their franchises off the Vita which is outselling the PS4 in Japan.
Surely the strategy would be Vita for Japan; PS4 for the West.

Another weekend of Dragon Age Inquisition and some Assassins Creed. With possibly a dash of Football Manager when the United-Liverpool game is on.

Uncharted looks good. Hopefully the Order will be good but may be behind The Witcher and MGSV.

Back in to the PSN.
Re: PSN Down as Sony's Servers Feel PS4 Firmware Update 2.00 Strain
@Tasuki I guess for information. It is reassuring it isn't just me that can't get in after installing 2.0 so I am less worried I have bricked my PS4

Sony are aware of the problem. They must have looked at Twitter

I am looking to getting a PS4 with Dragon Age Inquisition. Do you think there will be a bundle for that game?

It has been Dragon Age 2/Lego Batman 2 and Velocity X2. The first on PS3 the others on Vita.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Sony PlayStation Gamescom 2014 Press Conference?

Yes but Tomb Raider wasn't just an Uncharted clone then

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Sony PlayStation Gamescom 2014 Press Conference?
So Tomb Raider exclusive to Xbox? So what the first game was just a poor quality Uncharted rip-off; nothing to with tombs.
There is enough coming to the Vita that it doesn't need much to keep me happy - Freedom Wars; Gravity Rush 2 and hopefully Phantasy Star Nova.
I think it is time for some to man up and enjoy what it does have rather than constantly moan about it.
