@InsaneWade I bought the bundle on day 1 and couldn't be happier. I'm already too old to waste time with emulation or looking for old consoles. I just want to turn on my newest console and enjoy the game with all the modern facilities added to the package. And here comes a collection with the first four Breath of Fire!
@DrGonzo Imagine being able to listen only to music or watch movies from the last three years... Legacy, without it, we wouldn't even be here right now.
"there's plenty of single player content in the limited-time events and local races if you don’t really care about going up against real people and just want to race bots" excellent.
@Juanalf You did not understand or understand what was convenient to you. The idea behind this practice already used by Microsoft is to eliminate competition, understand to take Sony from the market or swallow it. Three generations and Microsoft only created a relevant brand, Halo ... They are imconpendent and would never be here today by their own merit. Where does a company that has always been in second or third place take 70bi to buy a single studio? They do not know how to work otherwise, if not spraying the competition or taking it to themselves using brute force ie infinite money.
Old strategy widely used by Microsoft, using your infinite money to spoil competition until it is the dominant force on the market. From there dictate the rules without facing opposition. Today the GP can be wonderful for players, but in the long run it can only end well for Microsoft ... never for players.
I don't think anyone here played the two horizons, because they are the purest political juice. Wait! It's just that this kind of policy can't be discussed, right? I have a suggestion for those who are bothered... Have you ever heard of Mario? ;-D
@KundaliniRising333 "...essentially being the most unappreciative and non-communicative gaming platform that exists right now..." Cool this world where there is no Nintendo!
People who think Sony should make acquisitions to make them unique must have slept the last years. I will not be surprised if at the end of the PS5 life cycle the company only leaves its own platform and becomes a content producer for everything that gives a high return. :-/
@GreatAuk Hahahahahhh... The typical American boy speech... You clearly don't know the world beyond your idealized walls. I live the social inequality caused by the uncontrollable hunger of capitalism has never been greater! You're just another boy who keeps repeating ready-made words without meaning because he's not able to think on his own.
@clvr Nintendo gamers are already familiar with the dearth of games, so everything that comes along is "amazing". Although I'm inclined to accept their note and ignore the PS in this case. This game was already wonderful on the SNES, now so... <3
Canned review. As expected, just reproducing the common voice of nostalgic adults who are never satisfied with ruining their childhood. How silly! Welcome to the 70 hour gaming era...
Hahahahhh ... There are people here who think the problem of drift is fantasy. It answers the question. Solution: Use the parts in PSOne, PS2, Wii Classic Controller or Wiiu Pro Controller. They never had problems!
@themightyant I didn't just have the PS3 (bad days!) or any Xbox (just disinterest...), all the other consoles passed through my hands in their respective times (the N64 controller was garbage!!) and only today ( and I didn't disagree with that!) there is no longer any console that offers the quality of yore. That's how it looks to me! No company shows interest in improving this picture, the PS4 would never receive a hardware update these days to fix a flaw that would cost you more investment, it's too late! Even more so that players prefer to solve it on their own than to point out the real culprit. You have a strong stance and I still think I'm right. So let's put this conversation aside because this isn't going to get you anywhere. Ahhh... they've all been conspiring together since forever to reduce their costs and for that we give it a suitable name; capitalism. Thank you! I hope so! I wish the same for everyone!
@themightyant There is no Switch Pro as far as I know... and I thought it was great to cite it as an example (I never had an Xbox) because Nintendo's console drifts are public knowledge. I have a Wii U GamePad+2 Pro Controllers with years and years of use, I've never had to do any maintenance. They still work like new! The first Palystation and Playstation 2 also didn't have drift... I didn't have PS3, so I can't speak. That's exactly the point I raised, every generation that came from the PS4 so far has this problem, cutting costs. Anyway, I don't think Sony is too concerned about quality (except for their in-house studios-for now!) when their fanbase is so sick that they shut up on a problem just so they don't tarnish their beloved brand. I love my PS4, it's my favorite console ever...I like it so much that I preferred to buy another one during the height of the pandemic instead of an XboxSeries. The box is here sealed and I don't intend to get rid of it. Xbox does not interest me and PS5 is still not justified. I can't believe it was bad luck... see that just in the last few hours there have been two or three more cases here in this conversation. I believe a simple solution would be to add a calibration option in the console panel itself. A poll on the site on the subject would be interesting... "Has anyone here ever had or knew someone with problems with their PS4/PS5 controllers or whatever?" Anyway... Have a nice weekend!
@BReal Well, I had two controllers purchased on different dates one after the other that had the problem. For me it's statistically worrying, after all I've had almost all the consoles released so far and this had never happened. I have two newer ones that haven't shown anything yet, but still have a few weeks of use. This conversation is going nowhere... :-/
@BReal I won't go any further... There's no shortage of video on YT showing how much the parts used in the PS4 generation onwards are inferior to the old controls. Anyway, great that you never had to go through this inconvenience!
@BReal I have two DS4 with just over a year of use with problems, even with all the care that is possible with "dust" or whatever. There is no shortage of players on the internet with a similar situation. If the fans weren't sick this would have been raised in time and would certainly have been resolved, but it's better to hide the platform's problems for the sake of a perfect image. I don't smoke or drink, it's stupid!
@BReal This is naive reasoning. The thought here is to cut costs where you can. You don't have to go far, just look at the terrible quality of DualShock4 and DualSense... drfit+drift+drift
@get2sammyb Some people forget that not everyone likes to spend their free time shooting endlessly online, that some of them prefer to dedicate themselves to something with a beginning-middle-and-end. And knowing how this industry works, it is safe to say that the investment of one will be taken to the other...
@Max_the_German Exactly, but until an hour ago I wanted to upgrade Premium, just for the classics. But forget it, I don't care anymore. Not directly because of the "PAL" factor, but because of the evident carelessness with which this is being treated. Once again, Sony's disregard for its legacy is evident. My PSMini with a USB stick does this much better... unfortunately!
Add the difficulties imposed for the Premium upgrade and that's it now... I give up! The service is PAID!! Deliver the best service possible!! Hell!! Be the reference!! I'm tired of it... When I want to visit these classics I'll turn on an emulator.
Modern consoles are becoming hell for me, endless drifts and the like, unfinished games or in need of internet all the time, even in solo campaign... subscriptions to everything. I love modern games, but I'm getting old, time for fun is not so abundant and all these inconveniences that come up every day... I love modern games, but I find myself more and more motivated to finish winning my huge library and leave all that aside... just plug in an emulator on the TV and play my beloved classics 8/16/32 bits... no internet always, no damn drifts, no subscriptions and complete. :-/
@Max_the_German You cannot speak for everyone. I piled up many years of Plus before any rumors about this new service surfaced. I love Sony's consoles and games, so I obviously wanted to secure my saves for as long as possible in the cloud, because I was pretty sure I wouldn't change platforms. However, this was gradual, I didn't do everything in a single day. I really wanted to play the classics on a modern machine, but I certainly won't if I have to shell out all that amount in one go!
They should just convert the time from my current plan to the plan I want to change. I have Plus active until 2024, that's because I love the platform and because I like to have my saves saved. Going down that path I'll be penalized, a big fan, and clearly I won't do the migration until the end of the contract...if I do. Anyway...
@djlard I only have two or three of these in my library. I bought it on sale, just to try it out, but it's not something I'll ever do again. I don't like to think they have an expiration date! I'm an old grumbler!
@djlard I would like to buy even with the current campaign, but only if it was completely offline. The simple fact that I need to be online to be able to play the solo campaign really bothers me! There's still another detail... I don't pay full price on anything that's accessible on Microsoft's service.
