Isle of Mann TT2 was such a step up compared to No 1! Genuinely very excited for this. If you're a Motorsport fan, you owe it to yourself to check out these games.
I loved the last couple of Pinball FX releases and tables but this is one step too far. Ever since they charged £15 for just one Indiana Jones table, they've lost me. This is one of my favourite franchises I'm happy to leave in the sunset as it stands.
He is super cool. Completely crazy, funny and his demon tattoo is just awesome. My fav character in the series is still the Dragon of Dojima but Majima is undeniably a very cool character as well.
I loved Pinball FX 2+3 but this new Pinball FX has new owner's Epic Games grubby hands all over it. Ridiculous pricing strategy with the pinball pass, and not bringing over any old tables (despite being able to do so in previous versions) is just pure greed.
@NEStalgia Judgment is the American spelling (hence why it was chosen over the English one) Same reason the new Sonic remaster was called Sonic Colors and not Colours. It's annoying but it is what it is
Also the TMNT Cowabunga Collection should be given as a voting choice too. Another superb re release and the first time these games have hit PS consoles.
Finally, an award that Last of Us Part 1 actually deserves mentioning in 😅 That said I still think Atari 50 is the real winner. Not just a compilation but essentially an attempt of making an Atari Museum. A must play for anybody serious about gaming history.
Dreams is genuinely one of Sony's best ever games. In an age of the cinematic narrative action-adventure Sony template, Dreams is a welcome reminder of how different, innovative and interesting their best games can be.
@Would_you_kindly MS owns Zenimax, Sony don't own ActiBlizzard. It's the equivalent of MS complaining that Spiderman is coming to PC. It's nothing to do with Sony.
That's the end of it. The deal will go through. Sony can't argue it's bad for consumers when MS have essentially opened up another 70+million gamers with the expansion to Nintendo. Sony complained about COD, they have a 10 year offer on the table. If the don't take it, it's their fault now. Sony can't dictate what does and doesn't come to Game Pass.
I really enjoyed it. The story mode is a little irritating, but when you just go top to bottom with the chilled music and have a good run, it's really good. Definitely worth a play for those with any memories of old SSX and 1080 games.
I've already reinstalled the game to get ready for this. Probably one of the most overlooked games of the year. One of the best management games I've ever played and this expansion looks very fun! Can't wait.
I think it does sadly give some credence to the scrapped showcase rumours amidst the Activision/Blizzard deal. It also probably doesn't help that any planned announcements like the Zero Dawn remaster were met with widespread internet criticism, thereby discouraging Sony from making that a centerpiece announcement of sorts.
@themightyant Castlevania isn't just Metrodvania. From the Nes games, to N64 to Lords of Shadow and the PS2 games. There's plenty of Castlevania that isn't just Castlevania Symphony of the Night style. Definitely a market for more Castlevania
Somehow the internet has to make this happen! Can we please have a God of War/Castlevania style game! I swore I'd never pay £70 for a game. I would for that.
For a PlayStation centered website, it certainly enjoys telling everyone to avoid spoilers whilst giving away things themselves (however minor they may be). Ragnarok has been out to the general public for less than a week. We're not all gaming journalists that were able to complete this game over a week ago....
Everyone may be reporting on it, but this article gets it spot on with the tone! What next? Witcher 4 won't be automatically installed to our consoles?!
I've been playing this all weekend. The museum content in the Digital Eclipse collections are amazing and this is no exception. At first play, the jump to such old school gaming is jarring but you soon get used to it and I'm enjoying most of the titles Highly recommended.
@GreatAuk Me too. One of my top 5 PS4 games. But strangely enough one that never gets mentioned in the top PS4 game lists (this site's recent list included). Quite possibly because again, it's a clever quiet game that lets the player do the working out and gameplay without an irritating sidekick narration throughout the whole experience.
I don't think we'll ever see the likes of Shadow of the Colossus again on PlayStation. There's no patience anymore for people to sit back and work out the solution themselves. The quiet moments in games can often be the best, but these days it seems like someone has to talk every 5 seconds simply for the sake of it.
I've learnt to accept that gaming is simply so mass marketed these days that the over simplifications are here to stay.
@dschons sounds awesome. I don't rate GoW18 that highly but definitely saw the blueprint for what should be an amazing game. I'm hoping Ragnarok delivers. Better puzzle design would definitely be a step in that direction (it's already confirmed the bosses are bigger and better of course 👍😃)
@dschons one of my biggest issues with the 2018 GoW was how simplified the puzzles were. I hope Ragnarok doesn't have the same problem of every puzzle being "leave the axe here".
Mimir was definitely a symptom of "gaming simplification" for me. I hope Ragnarok doesn't do the same.
One of my favourite God of War memories is the incredibly clever MC Escher style puzzle of Hera's Garden in GoW 3. For all the bombastic set piece violence, there was always very clever puzzly downtime in the earlier games.
@ApostateMage I genuinely had no idea! Thanks for the info. I still wish games didn't default to "idiot Mode" but good to know there's an option at least
@ApostateMage Games telling you what to do during puzzles is the most annoying thing these days. Plague Tale Requiem has that exact problem for me at the moment during my playthrough. Too many games these days are developed for people with zero patience.
@Nightcrawler71 I think the fuss over Immortality is almost a "look at what games can also do" kind of thing. Which, whilst fair, does not automatically make them a good game.
Yet to play God of War Ragnarok. Elden Ring and Return to Monkey Island are both 10/10 in my view. Would like Monkey Island to win, if only because I love rooting for the underdog.
Immortality was good but a tad overrated, Bayonetta 3 was superb and would be a worthy winner too.
@UltimateOtaku91 you've just done it yourself. Opinions are opinions. I definitely don't view the game as DLC myself but instead a significantly improved sequel, but equating his opinion of it being "DLC" with something that "Xbots" say is what causes this toxicity in the first place.
PS4 fan noise 😂 I forgot how much that irritated me and had erased it from my memory. On my PS4 Pro it used to sound like a hair dryer when playing GoW18. The PS4 had an absolutely amazing gaming library, but my lord was it Sony's shonkiest console in my view.
First time PS5 buyers outnumbering second time Switch buyers 😂 That was cruel, but in honesty it must be to do with market saturation and supply chains. Still, fair play Sony.
Sounds amazing. Whilst I didn't feel GoW 2018 was worthy of all the praise bestowed upon it, I get the feeling that this game very much will be deserving of its praise. Bigger, better and improved. Sounds like we have the God of War 3 of the Norse Saga. Can't wait to get stuck in.
My oh my how God of War has changed from when I fell in love with the series. It used to be Kratos was angry and then have some DMC style fun in a mythic setting. It sucks if you play GoW for the story, but I could do with a return to a gameplay fun focus as opposed to everything being about the story these days anyway.

Re: The Last of Us: Part I's PC Specs Will Make Mincemeat of Your Computer
According to their own logic, this is just Sony making the PC version unoptimised so you are forced to play it on the PS5!

New just in! Tin foil is selling out across the country as Sony stocks up and starts making hats!

@Smiffy01 it's actually Enhance Games, not Sony. But the point about fantastic and more original games stands 🙂

If it's anything like Tetris Effect, Rez and Lumines I'll be playing this game for years and years to come!

Re: Random: Forspoken Might Have a Fight Against Autocorrect on Its Hands
I am reminded of a joke from Peep Show. Super Hans' band was called "Various Artists" just to make things difficult for people with iPhones 🤣
Re: Random: Forspoken Might Have a Fight Against Autocorrect on Its Hands
I suspect the game's biggest fight will be with mediocrity. It doesn't look like a classic in my eyes....

Super lame move from Xbox here. Was hoping they'd keep it at $70 to pressure Sony to reconsider.
