Re: Ubisoft Claims It Won't Abandon PS4 Version of Far Cry 6

rpg2000

@Icey664 There is this misconception that because games are only PS5 (or Xbox series X) then all of them will suddenly be so different from anything you have ever seen in terms of game design and/or scope, which they won't (not all). It is a rather absurd notion to have to be honest.

This is what is going to probably happen: some games (and game studios) will try to push for new ways to use the new tech to play games (game design, etc), but there will also some of them that won't (yes, there will be improvements in game design (among other things), but not in an extreme way).

From example: FromSoftware's games won't probably go thru radical changes because of it. There might be some improvements to how their games are designed to an extended, but that's it. The same could be said about games coming from Atlus. And I think all of this is perfectly fine.

Also, I don't know about you, but Returnal, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, and Demon's Souls Remake look (and feel) PS5 Only games to me (which is kinda amazing when you consider that it has only been 6 months since the PS5 was released). But to each their own...

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for June 2021?

rpg2000

This was a great month (2 brand new games hitting the service), and especially for the fighting game crowd.

@themcnoisy agree completely. Don't worry though, lots of users that frequent to this site whine a lot in general (for even the most insignificant things too). And to think some of the same users here wanted them to add MBL The Show 21 (a sport game that most them here do not play or even like) just because GamePass got it...

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Comparison Shows Improvements Over Zero Dawn

rpg2000

It looks excellent and it looks like a lot of love and effort was put into making this game. Those complaining here are picky as hell (for some of the most redundant things ever), which is quite annoying frankly... thanks god you guys only constitute to the very minority. I mean just read what that user Toypop said and can help but to laugh at how absurd that comment sounds...

Re: PS Plus June 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

rpg2000

Love it... Having Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown there is a big deal. Love the franchise and I can't wait to play this rebuilt of the game using the Dragon Engine.

Operation: Tango looks like a interesting/fun co-op game. I will give it a go too.

Re: Psychonauts 2 Gameplay Looks So Vibrant and Experimental

rpg2000

I completely forgot this game was coming this year. I barely remember playing the 1st one. I guess the overall experience wasn't too memorable.

I will probably get it once it goes into sale (or skip it altogether). Too many other games that I'm more interested are coming this year to even care about this one right now, frankly.

Re: Hands On: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Is a Massive Upgrade That Plays Better Than Ever

rpg2000

@AchievingGamer That's fine, but that still doesn't mean it is a remake.... it is still a remaster. You can't call a game a remake if you remade only parts of it; that would be plain wrong. There is a reason why EA isn't calling this a remake, but a remaster in the first place. Another example of am actual remake would be Mafia: Definitive Edition (remake of the original Mafia game). Now if you want to still call it a remake, so be it.... to each their own.

Re: New PS Vita Games Will Sadly Cease This Summer

rpg2000

The only ones "sad" about this (no more new games on vita) are in the extremely vocal minority (less than 1%). Also, you got to be out of your mind to keep releasing new games on vita at this point. Hey! Why not go an extra step and also release new games on the PS3 too (just nonsensical).

Re: Scarlet Nexus Gets a Very Anime Opening Movie

rpg2000

Err.... after seeing so many great Anime OPs/EDs this year (especially for TV series), I got to say that this one looks pretty lackluster. There wasn't any moment during the OP I was in awe.

Animation and cinematography are average. Music is fine.

Re: Tales of Arise Drops Multiplayer for Bigger Focus on Characters, Story

rpg2000

It seems almost no one here knew multiplayer existed in these games, so everyone is cool with it.

But then you go to more centric Japanese/Asian gaming sites like Gematsu and everyone is mad/disappointed about this feature not been there. And that was something a lot of them used.

I knew multiplayer (during battles) was a thing in this game. I just never used it.

Re: What Would the Super League Mean for FIFA 22?

rpg2000

FIFA and UEFA are two of the most corrupt sport institutions out there. So I'm not siding with them either. If you are, then you are being an hypocrite.

Also, all these teams (the ones in and the ones out of this Super League) are greedy as heck. And please don't say it is just the owners, players are to blame too.

Honestly, nothing of this would have happened if FIFA and UEFA were doing a better job managing all these competitions (some more redundant than others) and paying these teams better for winning them. Again corruption at the highest level.

Also, that new format presented by UEFA (for 2024) is a joke too... 32 to 36 teams now, you got to be kidding me.

Re: Rumour: Multiple Parties Interested in Square Enix Buyout

rpg2000

Tencent has much higher chances on buying SE than MS...

Anyhow, this is rumor territory... for all we know Kodansha or CyberAgent Inc. are the companies interested in buying SE, and Sony and MS aren’t even in the conversation.... Maybe SE isn’t actually interested in selling.... Maybe...

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Think Sony's Obsession with PS5 Blockbusters Aligns with Reality

rpg2000

It has been nothing but fear-mongering... They say they "don't care" about niche games, but then we see something like Sifu (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FQ1YO3Ks2U) being shown in on their most recent State of Play (along many other niche indie titles that many of users here have shown some disdain to, figures... and don't give that crap "we love indies", when most of you don't).

By the way, Sifu is being made with the support of Sony and Epic. Yea...

Re: Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5) - A Tough Game to Love

rpg2000

@naruball yea.... that guy is a annoying as hell. He is like one-trick-pony when it comes to his comments. Rinse and repeat. Maybe he thinks he is being funny and witty, who knows... I believe he has being already banned because of the way he behaves.

Also, you got to love the whole "I got both consoles" statement (never gets old). I guess having both consoles gives a person the right to act like an ass and troll articles...

Re: Reaction: Days Gone Was PS4's Black Sheep, But a Darn Good Open World Game

rpg2000

When the game was released, it was received pretty badly by most major publications (and gamers). Most even wondered why it was green-light in the first place. Now, that a sequel might no be in the works, people are suddenly mad. The sad part is that I bet a great majority of those whining about it right now aren't even huge fans of the game in the first place.

Anyhow, I thought the game was average at best. I'm glad to hear they are working on a new IP though. Also, just because the sequel isn't in the works right now, doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. They just need a better pitch next time.

Re: Uncharted, Ghost of Tsushima Movies Will Stream on Netflix After Theatrical Run

rpg2000

@theMEGAniggle you clearly haven't seen enough movies, so your take about Sony's movies (and its subsidiaries) is general pretty limited and sad. Also, for all the bad/mediocre ones, there also tons of great/exceptional ones... This same principle applies to all the other movie companies out there too.

Yes, lets just forget about: Little Woman (2019), Whiplash (2014), District 9, Looper, Spider-Verse, The Mitchells vs. The Machines, Big Fish, Taxi Driver (1976), Baby Driver, Zombieland, Easy A, Don't Breathe, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Django Unchained.... and the list goes on.

Re: First-Person Adventure Call of the Sea Seemingly Sailing to PS5, PS4

rpg2000

@UltimateOtaku91 You are just fear-mongering to the point of laughable.... You are acting like those that thought most Netflix users were going to migrate to Disney+ and HBO Max when those services opened. News flash! It didn't happen...

PS+ users have also being getting brand new games day one that GamePass isn't such as Bugsnax, Destruction AllStars, and most recently Oddworld: Soulstorm. So the idea PS isn't giving great value to its costumers is absurd. There is also the PS+ Collection for PS5 users and the whole Play at Home initiative where PS owners get completely free games (no strings attached).

The fact that you believe that the £70 price hike is only Sony makes you look extremely naive as well. This is something that is going to be adopted by most big publishers in the near future (probably starting 2022), especially once they stop producing cross-gen titles. You will be delusional to think otherwise.

Re: E3 2021 Confirmed for June, Sony Nowhere to Be Seen

rpg2000

A couple of days a go people were saying E3 was worthless and that it should just disappear.... now, E3 is "cool" again because some big publishes are going to be there, figures.... It would be funny if we find out that E3 is actually paying all these publishers to be there. I do believe E3 will just die eventually, sooner than later...

Anyhow, at the end of day it doesn't matter....PS will have its own gaming digital event akin to the Future of Gaming like the one they had last year (they will probably call it different this time), which was pretty successful in its own.

Also, Bandai Namco not being there means no Elden Ring's news.... got to watch their own event for that, which is perfectly fine with me.

Re: As Stock Increases, PS5 Is Doing Much Better in Japan

rpg2000

@Max_the_German so fighting games (easy to learn, hard to master).

Also, I wouldn't say Japanese prefer games with "deeper" and "complex" mechanics. I think it is the contrary; games like Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Zelda, etc sell well over there, and those games do not have "deeper" and "complex" mechanics at all.

Anyhow, good to see stocks increasing in Japan and that the PS5 is selling better every-time that happens. Calling a system with really limited stock a flop was nothing but premature and fear-mongering.
