Re: Poll: Do You Play Many Betas on PS4?

sinalefa

I have tried some. For MH it didnt convince me to buy but I wasnt planning to anyway.

Usually with betas and demos it puts me off from buying or since I always wanted the game it is an early access. The open weekend for Overwatch convinced me to buy it although I barely play it now.

@themcnoisy

Lol I am the opposite. For me Arms got old so fast while I have put 35 hours into Odyssey and still have so much to do.

As of late I play my PS4 way more since this December we got so many great games on sale. Still go back to Splatoon and Odyssey regularly though.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 201

I have been playing a lot recently:

SFV: raking in some FM before things change with Arcade Mode. I have now enough for 3 characters without touching online battles. @Shonenjump86 and @Feena were right, there were many ways to get FM. Thanks!

Yooka Laylee: I just expanded the 4th world. Either things changed or idc because it has been fun. Not Odyssey fun of course but close.

Binding of Isaac: beat the Chest for the first time. Now I can fight the angels.

Splatoon 2: ranked matches and League Battles with the Octobrush Nouveau.

Overcooked: got every single star in the main game, we are now wrapping up the DLC content. Boy is this game fun in co op.

@General_Spiller

They dont lose a sale since gifting would mean that you buy the game (again if you already own it) and give it to a friend. As you would with a physical game.

If after that your friend likes it and there is DLC available he/she could buy the DLC so Sony always wins.

@nhSnork

It was the right choice for their plans. Since the console is portable it needed smaller media and a friendlier architecture to attract more developers. So far it seems that has paid off for them.

But the stat tracking has nothing to do with that as it is mostly software based. 3DS still excels in that area over both Wii U and Switch.

Re: Feature: 5 PS4 Firmware Update Features We Need in 2018

I want PS1 support and stat tracking. Seeing how long I have played my games is almost a game itself. As @Wazeddie22 mentions, since Wii all Nintendo consoles do that and I love it, although Switch is a step backwards in this regard.

Not interested myself in the other things. But for the umpteenth time, if I am downloading a game let me pause/resume the status from the game icon itself, instead of going to Notifications.

@JoeBlogs

2017 was a great year for gaming in general. Overall I agree that PS4 gets the most varied repertory with great exclusives, Western AAA, Japanese games, indies and now VR. I just happen to enjoy Switch's offerings too.

Another Mario and another Zelda, yet they are the freshest installments in years and both were GOTY contenders. One can say Kratos March game is just another GOW but it looks very fresh and different.

I agree with the article that surprises are nice. Shenmue 3 and FFVIIR were huge surprises years ago and they worked, even if still in development.
