@IamJT I totally get that, but there is also a level of marketing that has been done for this game advertising vr. Most notably the boxart saying it is compatible with psvr.
Not disputing what you are saying, I get how licenses work. Just sort of pointing out how someone less in the know might feel.
There is also the fact that this is just impacting playstation at this point. Other vr headsets are not impacted. Seems a bit intentional from the outside looking in. But again I have no dog in this race, just saying what I see.
This has no bearing on me whatsoever, but I'm curious if there can be any legal ramifications for this?
I'm sure there is a terms and services agreement you need to agree to when you first log in, but I wonder how specific it was in regards to a situation like this.
Someone could argue that they paid for a service that is being removed from them unfairly.
I feel like I am in the minority here but this trailer did the opposite of get me excited for the game.
I don't know why...
I loved persona 4, 5, and 3 Reload so I should be excited for this but I'm just... not?
I really don't know what exactly it is but it is not grabbing me.
I'll have to give it a shot on gamepass before I decide if I am going to buy it. Unless the reviews are as good as they are expected to be... then I'll just bite the bullet and give it a go.
@get2sammyb definitely steer clear of the helldivers subreddit. It's full of the most toxic people you can imagine.
The overall community in the game is great. But the vocal people online are taking it way too far. They are by far the most entitled/toxic group of people I've ever seen for a gaming community. And that's saying something...
Generations was incredible, I would have liked to see a true sequel given all of the levels available in various sonic games, but adding in shadow and some of the levels he got to play in is a nice touch.
Hopefully this sells well enough to get a true sequel.
@dark_knightmare2 there was one part in particular that I remember, that had my friend literally jump out of her seat as we were playing it. It was great. I still haven't gotten to the second one.
@dark_knightmare2 to each their own, but i have played countless horror games and this is right up there at the top. Numerous jump scares got me, and for a while I found it difficult to figure out which shadows were hostile. Combine that with the overall tension in the writing and to me it is the perfect type of horror.
The only game that tops this for me is outlast. That game took me quite a while to work up the nerve to finish.
Remedy is very very quickly climbing the ranks into my top 5 favorite devs. I've been a fan since Max Payne, and after Control and Alan Wake 2 I can't wait to see what else they can do.
Alan wake 2 has really surprised me so far with how scary it actually is. I've played a ton of horror games and this might be at the top of the list.
@KundaliniRising333 the levels can be linear, but there is still lots of stuff to explore. I found myself going back to areas after beating them and finding paths that I missed.
I don't typically like souls games... or well I didn't until Elden Ring came along... I put over 200 hours into that and got the platinum trophy.
I've been playing Lies of P and its enjoyable. The difficulty spikes though between certain enemies can be rough, I love the style and atmosphere, but the story isn't doing a lot for me so far. Currently about halfway through the game... I'd say it is a solid 7.5... its not grabbing me as much as elden ring did, and it's certainly no bloodborne, but it is a good take on the genre.
Classic Ubisoft... make a game that is for the most part really well liked, and then decide to can the sequel in favor of 14 more assassins creed games...
As someone who is really excited for AC Mirage and it's return to classic AC style, I am tired of Ubisoft constantly returning to milk the cash cow dry...
Honestly I'm getting sick of Ubisoft and this attitude. Games that show lots of potential and promise as a series get canned while they continue to pump obscene amounts of money into a game like skull and bones which is essentially going to be DOA...
Pistol Whip is an absolute blast I actually think i enjoy this more than beat saber. I had it on PSVR and was thrilled it was a fre upgrade for PSVR2. More free content is very welcome.
@NEStalgia the regulators aren't just looking at the market share in the console world, they are also looking at it in terms of cloud gaming which Microsoft already has the overwhelming majority market share. So the regulators do have a really tricky task ahead of them when trying to decide if allowing this to go through puts cloud gaming in monopoly status.
@uptownsoul it's true. Somehow a large part of the community has turned a blind eye to it.
If Sony were trying this Microsoft would be having the exact same issue that Sony has right now, but at least Sony isn't in the creativity drought that Xbox is in (hi-fi rush being the exception, that was a really refreshing new experience coming from the xbox team)
@get2sammyb expecting Microsoft to do anything but buy their way to the top of the food chain is ridiculous. They have been like this forever. Constantly buying studios and shutting down their own because they can't manage them.
Microsoft has 2 problems, one of them is creativity, which is why we see the same 5 titles every few years. The other is management. They think both of these things can be solved by throwing money at the problem.
I just found out that in Canada the price is $749.99 for the base bundle...
That is a tough pill to swallow. I fully appreciate the tech and was expecting the $500ish price tag, but at $750 plus tax here it's over $800 dollars.
@stvevan why are you so quick to start jumping to personal attacks?
It's not about me not being able to understand how language works. You know it is okay to agree to disagree right? Like it literally cost you nothing to do that...
All I am trying to get across are the inconsistencies in reporting on this site. Especially compared to pure xbox and nintendolife who are all run by the same organization.
I have been a member of push square for a number of years now and the only time I have heard any mention of a rewards program as a scheme is on these articles. Pure Xbox don't call them schemes, and neither do Nintendolife. And as I've already mentioned when PS refers to those other programs they don't refer to them as schemes.
So I'm sure you understand as the logical and rational human being that I am sure you are, how one can come to the conclusion that when they see the word scheme, it can be viewed as a negative thing ESPECIALLY when as we both agree there are other languages and intonation at play. ✌️
@stvevan I'm well aware of where the push square staff are from thanks. The point stands that they only refer to PsStars as a scheme, while referring to Microsoft rewards, and Nintendo coins, as rewards.
They are all the same system, why are we not using the same terms for the same types of things?
As someone else pointed out, they have been asked to alter the wording or explain why the wording is the way it is and they haven't.
Alternatively they could also recognize that not all of their audience is from the UK so if scheme really is a positive thing there, again I ask why haven't they explained it or used words that imply something positive instead?
@Flaming_Kaiser I think I am leaning towards nightwing. I've always been a huge fan of him, but also I am actually trained in how to use his weapons (escrima sticks) so thats kinda drawing me to him too.
@LiamCroft while I recognize and appreciate that this is your job and not your life and you can't monitor 24/7, my point still stands that the whole thing could have been avoided had the game not been labeled incorrectly.
I try not to get too involved in discussions and originally my plan was to just correct the wrong information and leave it be. Unfortunately that didn't go as planned so for that I apologize.
Not sure if you've tried this, but sometimes when I can't sleep, I go for a run, or do a high cardio workout to drain myself just a little bit more. It usually helps.
@stvevan well hopefully they at least read some of it before it gets deleted and the PS Staff learn not to label things incorrectly, and be better with their reporting to prevent things like this in the future.

When it was announced for ps5, the thought of the haptics with the rhythm was enough to get me to buy it. Can't wait til it unlocks later.
Re: Over Eight Million Helldivers 2 Players Recruited Since Last Month
Honestly, I saw the game, and wanted to try it, but normally online multiplayer is not for me...
That being said a buddy and I took the plunge together and we have been having a blast.
The game is so fun, and even though some of the mission types can be repetitive, the way the hordes spawn, make it different each time.

It's almost like they have to develop a multiplatform game around the lowest common denominator...

@AstraeaV this is my issue. They have spoken about all 3 rewards systems on this site, but only the Sony one is a scheme...
Re: Reminder: PS5, PS4 Loyalty Scheme PS Stars Arrives in Europe This Week
@thefourfoldroot1 yes inherently scheme (in canada anyways) implies a negative connotation.
That being said this is the first time I personally have brought it up, other users have also voiced the same concerns.
Re: Reminder: PS5, PS4 Loyalty Scheme PS Stars Arrives in Europe This Week
Can we please stop referring to this as a scheme? It's not a scheme... its a rewards structure.
This has been commented on numerous articles about this and you still continue doing it.

But you are right, it didn't necessarily need to keep going as far as it did.
Re: Gotham Knights' PS5 Platinum Will Keep You Busy
@Northern_munkey @MFTWrecks I've also mentioned the same things and then promptly had my comment removed.
The irony in this situation is that this all stemmed from the game being incorrectly labeled as a live service game in this article.
