"We’ve had a lot of fun sprinting between London Euston and Milton Keynes in this rapid rail, and while we’ve encountered very familiar bugs – like signalling issues which have prevented us from completing timetables"
Doesn't this just make it more immersive and true to life?
Played it, completed it, loved it. Really interesting fantasy 18th Century setting, combat deeper than it looks, nice turns from the actors playing Nor and Enki, and hey, there might be a bit of jank, but when it's got this sort of character and heart, and is such good old fashioned fun, who cares?
Surprisingly moving ending, too. Although that last boss can GRTF.
I thought Deacon St John (come on, lads) was one of the worst characters in modern gaming, all that chuntering away to himself was particularly off-putting.
@IntrepidWombat in my union our recent successful strike action has restored £10k a year to my pension when I retire. Worth every penny of my subs and will lead to plenty more PlayStation time.
And whatever jurisdiction you're in, when you run into trouble or layoffs come, not being a member leaves you much more vulnerable. Besides, I believe in collective power of workers rather than individualism.
I played the alpa - the story was interesting, but the gameplay was the worst kind of floaty, generic looter-shooter nonsense. If I wanted a gear system that complicated I'd open an Excel spreadsheet. I might have a go when it gets onto a subscription service, but giving WB Games money for this only encourages them.
@EfYI Been playing video games for nearly 40 years, have a PhD. Bit of a strange question, but there you go.
Days Gone is by no means a bad game - it's just alright and has its occasional moment, but is let down by profoundly bad character writing and generic open world gameplay. Plus any game with forced insta-fail stealth sections can just get stuffed.
'Masterpiece' implies to me an era-defining game, one of the best of all time, whereas I find Days Gone instantly forgettable.

@sRPlay1989 because I played the alpha, and it's just a bang-average looters shooter, with a decent story.

Days Gone a 'masterpiece'? Those are some very low standards.
Re: Days Gone Dev on New PS5 Exclusive: We're Cooking
Deacon St John is modern gaming's second most unbearable character (looking at you, Aiden Pearce).
