Mighty No. 9 on Wii U is borderline unplayable. I can't beat half the stages because it hard-crashes my console like no tomorrow, and was never fixed. The Mighty Gunvolt game was 100x better than Mighty No. 9 is, and is a prime example of what the game SHOULD have been.
The only thing I could possibly suggest for this is maybe not make it 80% pitch black. You lose a lot of environmental intrigue if you can't see anything. Even very dim light would probably help a ton with it. Otherwise, pretty spot-on!
How about, I dunno, putting a patch that lets the PSTV play all PS Vita games, as well as letting the vita play all PSP and PS1 games. There's no reason to block it, the day that all games downloaded proves the system can handle it, and it could get a couple of pity sales for literally just clicking that unlock button...
Unfortunately this is going to be what happens to Halo Infinite too. "Live Service" games just don't have long lifespans and there's too many of them anymore to even play them all.
A big problem stems from publishers using these review scores as a means to incentivize game development. It's sort of like how a grocery store will let you review your cashier in a survey. You give them a 7/10 because they were pleasant enough to deal with and gave you fair service. Well according to the parent company, only 9's and 10's are good, so anything below that is a failure that might as well be a 0/10 and the cashier gets reprimanded for it, even though they gave better than average service. It's literally the exact same concept.
@Athrum Okay, because I remember them talking about releasing a story DLC to MKX but it never happened and I was interested to see the Revenant storyline. I thought I saw some revenants in 11 but honestly been so sick I've forgotten if it was real or if it was a fever dream haha.
There is absolutely room in the world for all types of games. People are all different. We have different tastes in music, enjoy different foods, watch different movies. Variety is indeed the spice of life, and even though the Senran Kagura games aren't my particular cup of tea, I would never wish them away because I have friends who really enjoy the games.
Heck, I'm guilty of enjoying adult themed games too. It just depends on the person.
I think the biggest thing to take away from this is that the company he worked for was taking away his creative freedom and snuffing out his passion. The gaming industry needs more passionate developers, and I hope this new studio at the very least lets him become passionate about game development again.
I bought the game right after launch for a shockingly low $25, and honestly I dunno if it was worth that. It's not a terrible game, but it's a terrible sequel to two amazing games. Really if they just wanted to HD skin the first two I'd rebuy those and play them over NT, the 3v3 chaos just doesn't feel good. Ever.
EA: "We only sold 1.5 million in 6 weeks? That's it, BioWare you're getting the axe! BOYS, WHERE'S OUR MICROTRANSACTION TEAM AT? They've got a lot of work to do!"
Me: "I heard you're revamping this game to be a fun, fully realized game in the Fallout franchise, featuring branching dialogue paths and interesting NPC characters to give life to the wasteland!"
I guess putting thousands of hours into LBP isn't enough anymore. I used to get Beta codes to those when a new one was coming out, but I'm in the same boat, Mm doesn't think I'm valuable enough of a player or content creator anymore.
Lunchboxes were used in Fallout Shelter and could be purchased for randomized loot in the game... So I actually highly expect this to be more microtransaction BS. =_=;
Even though this game has been 100% total jank while playing, I still really like the exploring factor. I don't regret buying it, though I do think they'll abandon it before too long.
Also keep in mind I actually find a lot of fun in trashy, broken games so... There goes my street cred right out the window.
@dark_knightmare2 I kinda worded it wrong, it was more of a personal application to myself, but I still hope they won't charge more than $30 for remastering just a single game in the series. I do know that PS Fans love Sir Dan (he WAS in PSASBR, and not even Crash or Spyro were in that, but of course due to licensing), but I didn't really have much of a connection with him, even though we share a name. Only had that one Demo Disc that had like 7 playable games on it, never owned the full PS1 game.
Either way, I hope it's priced fairly for what it is~
As long as they don't over inflate the price to try and cash in on the (admittedly limited) nostalgia, then I think this will be fine. Looks a lot nicer than I expected.
cutting single player content was literally cutting me off the series. I know most people don't really care and say that's not what the game is about, but for a loner like myself, it's one of the only things I have in games.
Man, I still wish they'd leave like, ONE peer-to-peer server for every game on some skeleton computer way in the back. RIP to everyone who still enjoys the older generation. pats PS3

@get2sammyb Wasn't it the developers themselves who said if N. Sane Trilogy sold well, Crash Team Racing would be next?
Well we know how well N. Sane Trilogy sold, so I'll hold out a significant amount of hope for CTR. Heck, maybe it'll have Crash Tag-Team Racing as well, sort of a compilation of the Crash Racing Games (maybe even Nitro too, but I doubt that one).
Well honestly I DO like Destiny 2. I got too hyped for 1 and was massively let down, but I had a proper expectation for the sequel and I have been quite enjoying it. I wouldn't hate a Destiny 2 Battle Royale either. The gunplay is pretty satisfying overall (something I can't always say for the other two big BR's) so maybe I'd have a chance.

Re: E3 2019: Battlemode Is DOOM Eternal's Multiplayer, Pits One Slayer Against Two Demons
I really hope they give us the map editor and multiplayer from the last game too, and this is just a mode that's on offer...
Re: E3 2019: Fallout 76 Is Getting a 52 Player Battle Royale Mode
I should definitely start playing this! With only 3 total active players left on Fallout 76 I'm likely to actually WIN a Battle Royale game!

I got about 3 minutes in, and it's just too painfully awkward... Tapping out.
Re: Uncharted 2, 3, and The Last of Us Lose Multiplayer Capabilities on PS3 from September
I would love if they could turn on peer-to-peer game servers, so some of these multiplayer games could live on in some way.

Nintendo and Microsoft have collabed in the past before, so I'm not too terribly shocked.

That's kind of charming tbh. True to form.

Re: Review: Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4)
I have two quarrels with this review.
1. Ultimate Spider-Man was just as good as Spider-Man 2, and you could play as Venom.
2. WHAT ABOUT THE PUDDLES MAN?!?!
JK on that one though, glad to see it's definitely a worthwhile purchase!
Re: Deathgarden Hunts Down a PS4 Release Next Year
