Re: PS Vita Firmware Update 3.71 Keeps Handheld Alive

Azikira

How about, I dunno, putting a patch that lets the PSTV play all PS Vita games, as well as letting the vita play all PSP and PS1 games. There's no reason to block it, the day that all games downloaded proves the system can handle it, and it could get a couple of pity sales for literally just clicking that unlock button...

Re: Soapbox: 7/10 Is a Bad Review Score? The World's Gone Mad

Azikira

A big problem stems from publishers using these review scores as a means to incentivize game development. It's sort of like how a grocery store will let you review your cashier in a survey. You give them a 7/10 because they were pleasant enough to deal with and gave you fair service. Well according to the parent company, only 9's and 10's are good, so anything below that is a failure that might as well be a 0/10 and the cashier gets reprimanded for it, even though they gave better than average service. It's literally the exact same concept.

Re: Kitana Is Next Up in Mortal Kombat 11

Azikira

@Athrum Okay, because I remember them talking about releasing a story DLC to MKX but it never happened and I was interested to see the Revenant storyline. I thought I saw some revenants in 11 but honestly been so sick I've forgotten if it was real or if it was a fever dream haha.

Re: Senran Kagura Producer Quits, Largely Blames Rise in Gaming Censorship

Azikira

There is absolutely room in the world for all types of games. People are all different. We have different tastes in music, enjoy different foods, watch different movies. Variety is indeed the spice of life, and even though the Senran Kagura games aren't my particular cup of tea, I would never wish them away because I have friends who really enjoy the games.

Heck, I'm guilty of enjoying adult themed games too. It just depends on the person.

I think the biggest thing to take away from this is that the company he worked for was taking away his creative freedom and snuffing out his passion. The gaming industry needs more passionate developers, and I hope this new studio at the very least lets him become passionate about game development again.

Re: Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition Is Out Now on PS4

Azikira

I bought the game right after launch for a shockingly low $25, and honestly I dunno if it was worth that. It's not a terrible game, but it's a terrible sequel to two amazing games. Really if they just wanted to HD skin the first two I'd rebuy those and play them over NT, the 3v3 chaos just doesn't feel good. Ever.

Re: Fallout 76 Is Not Going Free-to-Play, Says Bethesda

Azikira

Me: "I heard you're revamping this game to be a fun, fully realized game in the Fallout franchise, featuring branching dialogue paths and interesting NPC characters to give life to the wasteland!"

Bethesda: "There is no truth to this rumor."

Re: Fallout 76 - A Shockingly Bad Attempt at Multiplayer Survival

Azikira

Even though this game has been 100% total jank while playing, I still really like the exploring factor. I don't regret buying it, though I do think they'll abandon it before too long.

Also keep in mind I actually find a lot of fun in trashy, broken games so... There goes my street cred right out the window.

Re: Your First Look at MediEvil, Remade from the Grave Up for PS4

Azikira

@dark_knightmare2 I kinda worded it wrong, it was more of a personal application to myself, but I still hope they won't charge more than $30 for remastering just a single game in the series. I do know that PS Fans love Sir Dan (he WAS in PSASBR, and not even Crash or Spyro were in that, but of course due to licensing), but I didn't really have much of a connection with him, even though we share a name. Only had that one Demo Disc that had like 7 playable games on it, never owned the full PS1 game.

Either way, I hope it's priced fairly for what it is~

Re: Review: Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4)

Azikira

I have two quarrels with this review.

1. Ultimate Spider-Man was just as good as Spider-Man 2, and you could play as Venom.

2. WHAT ABOUT THE PUDDLES MAN?!?!
JK on that one though, glad to see it's definitely a worthwhile purchase!

Re: Deathgarden Hunts Down a PS4 Release Next Year

Azikira

As someone who played the closed beta, I can say that this game has very minimal polish, a huge lack of options for hunters, and if you have a team with 3-4 tormentors, you basically win period because you just perma-stun the hunter.

Re: Review: Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered (PS4)

Azikira

I'm still pondering (since I got this one for free for owning the original)... 8 Gigs for the original, 30 gigs for this one... Not TOOOOOOOO big of a difference, just some new textures and visual effects, but still an amazing game...

Re: E3 2018: New Crash Bandicoot Reveal Coming Very Soon

Azikira

@get2sammyb Wasn't it the developers themselves who said if N. Sane Trilogy sold well, Crash Team Racing would be next?

Well we know how well N. Sane Trilogy sold, so I'll hold out a significant amount of hope for CTR. Heck, maybe it'll have Crash Tag-Team Racing as well, sort of a compilation of the Crash Racing Games (maybe even Nitro too, but I doubt that one).

Re: The Future of Destiny 2 Will Be Revealed Next Week

Azikira

Well honestly I DO like Destiny 2. I got too hyped for 1 and was massively let down, but I had a proper expectation for the sequel and I have been quite enjoying it. I wouldn't hate a Destiny 2 Battle Royale either. The gunplay is pretty satisfying overall (something I can't always say for the other two big BR's) so maybe I'd have a chance.
