I still need to get round to watching the show, because a few friends have said its really good. But I did read the first book, Leviathan wakes , and thought it was brilliant. Definitely a good universe and setting for a Telltale game
That's a fantastic lineup. For once I'm actually most excited to see the ps plus premium games. Legend of dragoon alone is worth the price of admission, but wild arms 2 is a good add, and I used to love playing Harvest moon at my mate's. He found it boring but I loved it
It looks amazing, and I'd love one. I just can't afford and/justify spending the price of a new console. Will definitely pick it up eventually if it gets enough support. Of course if you guys want to send one over, I certainly won't turn it down 🤣
@dallow_prime that would be awesome. Danny dyer in as one of the main character's mates, get vinnie Jones as the crime boss, with Jason statham as his enforcer. Perfect for the cheesy melodrama of a Getaway reboot
Looking forward to this. Been playing a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 since I got it at Christmas and I'm thoroughly hooked. Loving the story and characters and I think many of the side quests are as good as the main story. Would have definitely been one of my games of the year 2020 of it had actually released in a finished state
Normally I'd think this is taking it too far but the comments he made were ridiculous, basically blaming all the employees for the delays when it's almost certainly a management issue.
I've seen this kind of thing at companies I've worked at before. Basically "We've F'd up so you all need to work a lot harder"
I hope this is a precursor to them releasing a remaster, but I'm not holding my breath. Although this is the 20th anniversary this year.... (God I feel old)
Like you guys, I'd like to see more gameplay in regards to exploration, as part of the fun for me for any FF game (and most RPGs to be honest) is finding all the new towns and secret areas. But even without that, FF16 is probably my most anticipated game of 2023, with the possible exception of Spiderman 2
A new shin megami tensei game would be great. I used to love digital devil saga and a couple of others from the PS2 generation. But obviously the big one everyone (including me) wants is persona 6. Although I don't know where they would go for a setting, after 5 took it to Tokyo
@Impossibilium my first thought too, as soon as i say the under headline "dont blink". A doctor who weeping angels game would be amazing, and I'd definitely play it. Doctor who in general shoukd be ripe for gaming adaptations, but so far no one has done a particularly good job
Really looking forward to this one. Definitely one of my 'must buys' next year. Like FF12 by way of Game of thrones. And it really is a looker (at least going by trailers)
Honestly can't wait for this to release. Probably will wait for a discount but we'll definitely be getting one. Even tday Beat saber on psvr probably gets played as much by my wife and her mates as I play on any of my other games. Definitely hasn't gone to waste
I'm definitely up for this. Never played suidoken back in the day, but always remember seeing it at the local blockbuster. And knowing more about it now I know that it would have been my type of game. Day 1 for me
Not sure on the UI, but the premise of the game sounds great. And Metal gear solid as an inspiration? Certainly worse games to be inspired by. Will definitely keep an eye on this one
Actually a really good month. Heard many great things about Toem so will be nice to finally 0lay it. And I love a good anime fighter. Been a while since I played a NFS so will probably give that a go too
A bot disappointed in no new premium titles but I think I'll soon be jumping into metro exodus and yakuza kiwami 2. Been a couple of months since I finished the first kiwami so I'm more than ready to spend some more time with Kiryu
With such a wide gap in the reviews it's definitely a "Give it a watch and I'll see what I think" type of situation. It would have been nice to have a general consensus but I like resident evil as a series so I'll definitely watch and formulate my own opinion
Overall I like the fact that they just stuck to the broad outlines of the original story, and I loved the changes and the possible 'multiverse' story. I still have the original and if it was just a straight scene for scene remake I don't think I'd have loved the game as much as I did.
That said the side-quests were not great and got repetitive quickly and although I think the linear nature worked well as it was all set in Midgar, the world of the original opened right up afterwards, so I'm hoping Rebirth does the same
@BritneyfR_ee completely agree. I rarely play fortnite in my own but my son is a big fan and I quite often play it with him and we both thought it was amazing and great fun. My son got so excited when he saw Darth Vader, and he barely knows Star wars. Dont know why people have to be so down on it. Don't like it, don't play it. I never really enjoyed Game of thrones but I'd never criticise the other millions of people who loved it. People have different opinions and that's great!
@UltimateOtaku91 exactly what I was hoping. I'm currently playing through Trails of cold steel 2, but 3 and 4 are still about £40. Be nice to just have them ready to go
Tbf this is a great idea. Some of the publisher press conferences were full of nothing but filler and maybe 1 big game announcement. Last year Konami pulled out because the games weren't ready to show, but other publishers just push through whether or not the have anything to show and it results in a below par showing
At the minute extra offers the best value for money IMO. But if the selection of classic games expands to include more games that can't be played currently without the original consoles, then I'll be happy to subscribe to premium. Ps2 is my favourite console so if we can start to get more games from that generation, it will be much more appealing to me
If Shadow hearts 1 and 2 are on ps plus, I'll absolutely be signing up for premium. Loved those games on ps2 but never finished them. Tbh I didn't think there was a chance we'd be seeing the franchise again in any guise
@Widey85 was thinking the exact same thing. Human revolution was in my top 10 games on ps3 and I really liked Mankind divided too. Would be great to get another sequel
I got dreams when it first came out but fell off quite quickly. I guess I'm just not creative enough. But what people have done in the last couple if years with the tools available is nothing short of remarkable
@Shepherd_Tallon the legend of dragoon would be amazing. Still never finished it because the 4th disc didn't work properly on the copy I had. Would love to go back and finally finish it
I'd love to see some of the great JRPGs from the ps1 and ps2 era. The likes of wild arms, shadow hearts legaia, legend of dragoon and some of the old shin megami tensei games. I know it's a long shot but I used to love them but never finished most of them
What's a fantastic game witcher 3 is. Definitely in my top 10 of the last generation, probably top 5. Gonna be getting cyberpunk soon too. Played the trial and really enjoyed what I played. Looks like they've got the major issues sorted, and the story seemed to a predictably high standard
It sounds tough but also seems like the majority of the list is fairly simple. It's always nice to have 1 or 2 that are a bit more challenging, just to give it a bit of extra replay value
Well I'll definitely be getting this when it's out the the UK. Me and the kids have mostly fallen off the fall guys train, but this looks like a good way to bring us back in
Only finally got round to playing the firsts TOCS game earlier this year, and I got hooked. Brilliant series and I think it stands up there as one of the most expansive stories I've played. It reminds me of the good seasons of Game of thrones, complete with family and country politics that go along with it. If it didn't have very anime dialogue I think more people would be talking about this game as one of the best gaming stories
I started the tales series with xillia 2 and overall I've enjoyed them all, but some are definitely a lot better than others. Great to see that this one seems to be a stellar release not just as a Tales game but as a JRPG in general. Can't wait to pick this one up
Can wait for this one. I played the main game quite a bit but dropped off partway through. I really enjoyed what I played but other stuff came out that took my gaming time up. The new additions also look like they will make the game a little more manageable and 'fun'. Although I had a lot of fun with it the first time
Think is actually really good news. I really enjoyed Alan wake and finish it in the space of a weekend. Would definitely like to replay it, especially with remastered graphics. The lighting in that game was already fantastic
@KidBoruto oh I loved Timesplitters back in the day, especially 2. Me and my friends used to play the heck out of them. One of my favourite ever times for multilayer gaming. The only thing that worries me is whether the games can still be relevant I'm a post-Overwatch world (I personally don't play Overwatch but I know it's very popular)
@Col_McCafferty I hope so. I'm usually pretty positive on here tbf. I love playstation, have done since I got the ps1, Christmas 98. I already know not every game is for me, but I try not to poo poo them because I know other people will be interested. Personally I can't wait for the showcase, I know if it's anything like last year's events there will be at least 1 or 2 'must buys' for me
Timesplitters must be one of them. Waiting decades for? That's the only franchise I can think of that's been dormant for that long. When I saw the article pop up I had 0 interest. Now I can't wait
Excited to go back to Death stranding. I loved it but never finished it, and these upgrades look well worth an extra tenner to experience. Looking forward to lost judgement, and I'm looking forward to the Demon slayer game, even though I only watched the first episode. Gonna have to catch up and see what the fuss was about
@Total_Weirdo I was lucky enough to snap one up from amazon on Wednesday and Miles Morales will be my first major ps5 purchase. Closely followed by Demon souls
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk good choices for game of the year that year, all really good games IMO. I've always liked remedy but Control just took them to another level
@DonJorginho it's more like PlayStation employee: "Mr Ryan, what would you like us to a do about those spare 3 million PS5s" Ryan: "We've already taken care of that. They are being stored in a secret location and we have our top men on it" Employee "Who?" Ryan "Top. Men"
