I've just got the ps plus remote play on .y steam deck, so while the TV is in use I'll be playing some of the smaller games I haven't had time for this year. So Animal well and The plucky squire will be getting some playtime. Also still playing through Baldur's gate 3, about halfway through act 2
Can't wait for this. Love death and robots is fantastic, even if some episodes aren't as good as they coukd be. Can't wait for the Sifu one. They could do a really good story out of a guy dying and getting older
@lazarus11 yeah it's such a great film. Loved how they got all of those horror legends in just one movie. That's a franchise I wouldn't mind seeing return. Though as you said Andrew Divoff did such a great job that it would be hard to get anyone to replace him
@Boxmonkey I agree about the library not being at the same level as Ps4 but I'm still struggling to play everything I want to play. There's at least 4 or 5 games from this year alone that I really want to play. Although for the record, I'm not likely to get a PS5 Pro. Still think there's plenty of games for those that want one though
I hope this does well. Be nice to see Playstation do more games aimed at families. Our whole family has loved playing Astro bot this last few weeks, and I think we'll be picking this up. Me an my girlfriend love Horizon and I think linking with lego is a great idea
This is terrible news to have seen almost straight after I'd woken up. Such a great actor and voice. The Candyman films are some of my favourite cheesy horror flicks. And I also remember him from the casino scene in Wishmaster. Such a sad loss
I tend to listen more to the general consensus from reviews and reviewers I have similar tastes to. I never look at the user scores, because I find that gamers put bad reviews for anything. There is no way that perceived "forced wokeness" can take a decent game to a 1 out of 10. Ridiculous
I must admit this has become one of my most anticipated games. When Matthew Mcconaughey came on stage I got a bit excited but then the trailer, while looking great, didn't tell me much about what the game would be. However all the talk of it being inspired by Mass effect quickly put it near the top of my list
@naruball true, it is for me. But I think more people will be annoyed than happy with that. I'm looking forward to playing this again. One of my favourite games of last gen
It does look fantastic, and I'll be happy to pay £10 extra for it. It's clear that the difference is night and day, so can't wait to replay on the PS5 pro
@Gewertzx maybe so, but then what's to say a AAA PoP would make the money back, when it would cost much more to make and therefore would require much more sales. Ubisoft may as well stick to making Assassin's creed, and updates to R6 Siege, as they would earn more money from that than any other gane they coukd possibly make
@Gewertzx there are no better games in the genre from indie developers. This is probably the best non Metroid or Castlevania Metroidvania, with the possible exception of Hollowknight
This is why we don't deserve nice things. This is one of the best games of the year, and it couldn't find an audience despite great reviews and decent marketing. Maybe all of the companies shoukd just release new sequels in their biggest franchises, and when people bring up "Where are all the new ideas, just have the company figurehead say. "You don't like new ideas" and leave it at that
For me it goes Death stranding 2, then Ghost of Yotei, then GTA6. But if gta 6 ends up being a banger, that will probably be my most played game. Clair obscura is up there too, and I'm hoping lost records ends up being good. I live these "teenage girl angst" games, with LIS:TC being one of my most memorable games of the last few years
I remember a mate introducing me to the Manga a few years ago and it seemed quite good. Never watched the anime though and with everything else coming out I might give this one a miss. Still excited for those who want to play though. Hopefully it will be a good adaptation
I really enjoyed it takes two and a way out was fantastic. I'm hoping for Fares to say he's doing a. Tv style release then saying "f*** the emmys" at the game awards
@somnambulance I don't think it will be purely because they say "indie friend". That could be just them skirting the issue but it seems a weird way to frame it if it's a bigger company. I'm not sure if Blumhouse are indie but if so I could see it being them
I just ended up playing Trails of cold steel on a whim, as I remembered seeing trailers from the ps3 but at the time I had fallen off the JRPG train. But now its one of my favourite series. Love Falcom
Looking forward to playing Dino crisis and Siren again. Other than that nothing stands out. Definitely a better month thank most on premium for me though
@TheDudeElDuderino I don't have one, but I was interested because I live with my girlfriend and 3 kids so the tv is often taken up. So I did have an interest in getting one to play when the tv is in use
I'm very happy about this. I'll be getting it in payday next week and I can't wait, but I'm surprised to see that many sales already. Most big games don't do much more than that this quickly so for a niche genre like a JRPG that's fantastic news
There really are some pathetic people out there. The game isn't even put so clearly they haven't played it anyways to judge. And it's not like this review was an outlier, most people gave it a great score. I've listened to people such as Roger from Kimda funny, who has never played a Silent hill before and he loved it and said its one of his favourite games of the year
I think it's a great selection. DDLC is absolutely amazing and has a great twist. I do enjoy a WWE game every now and again and this will definitely be my go to when I have 10 minutes spare. And Dead space is apparently a very good recreation of what is one of the best horror games of all time
@tameshiyaku agreed. There are so many unique games coming, especially from indie developers. But hardly anyone buys them, then those same people will say there's hardly any new game ideas. I wouldn't mind but generally they cost a lot less than the new AAA games, so trying out the occasional ones wouldn't set you back too far. And they are on offer fairly regularly too
This is such a huge huge shame. I know print media has been dying for a while, but it's sad to see. I grew up reading OPM, play, Xbox world 360, OXM and gamesmaster, along with a couple of others. I think only Edge is still remaining and that's only a matter of time
What's weird is that I actually enjoyed all of the activities despite them being repetitive, because the moment to moment gameplay was so fun. That being said I like the idea of more varied activities, as long as they don't fill the world with too much, a la ubisoft
@StrickenBiged i wouldn't say its not normal, but it is smart. Twitter/X (and threads) just seems to be full of people trying to start arguments over every little thing
I'll be honest I actually like Americans overall, and a lot of content I watch is American. But the level of censorship over there is crazy, so I kind of agree with Torishima about having to deal with a "ridiculous country"
I won't be getting one day one, but I'll probably end up getting one next year. It is a bit pricey, but for a pc that runs all the games at the same quality you would be looking at over a grand. And you would probably still need to upgrade again before the PS6 comes out
@KundaliniRising333 I agree that we need more good games and that we need them to sell well, but it doesn't always work. Astro bot is a fantastic game, and love letter to playstation, but it sounds like it's not selling particularly well.
I know its different because ots only on one console so I'm not expecting it to sell 20 mill. But if its not between 5 or 10 mill by tye ned of the year it's very worrying, and it may mean sony continue to just make single player story games, which would be a shame considering the creativity some of their teams have to offer
I can see where some people are coming from about so called "wokeness" but I'd just like to add one thing (and this isnt aimed at everyone) but I'd like to ask one thing. If AC shadows had a white male character as the second main, or Ghost had a white male character take over from Jin, would there be the same level of uproar?
This is a remaster/ remake that actually makes sense. The games are a couple of decades old now (yikes!) And lots of people (including me) have never played them. I can't wait for this
I can't wait to play it. It's definitely on the list. And agree with some other people on here that 13 sentinels is amazing and its one of my favourite games
Absolutely fantastic soundtrack, easily my soundtrack of last year and its a crime that it didn't get nominated at the game awards. The Titan boss fight music is up there with my favourite pieces of gaming music ever
@AdamNovice would love a Tokyo jungle remaster, very fun game. I know that making money is important, especially for big publishers, but I definitely miss the old experimental Sony, hopefully they will find that creativity again
@Malaise P3R is certainly on my list, and I can't wait for Metaphor ReFantasio. Although I'm hoping we hear about persona 6 soon. It's been 6 years since Royal, surely they have something to show soon
I will probably leave this unless there is a sale on at some point. I must say its good that this site has people who are into JRPGs so I know that the review is a fair one. I find that a lot of the mainstream websites don't have a JRPG person so only the massive JRPGs ever get full reviews
@Batesy125s also its great to see some of the deep cuts and niche titles they've picked out, especially for premium. I enjoyed mr mosquito in the day but most people will likely have never heard of it let alone played it
Good to see. I'm nor a massive trophy hunter and only chase trophies on certain games but it's great to see them being supported for the big trophy hunters especially
I don't think this is a great selection overall, but the plucky squire looks great, and I've always wanted to play Night in the woods. I also can't wait to play Mister Mosquito for the first time in about 20 years, and that sky gunner looks really fun
This looks interesting. Every now and again I love a nice relaxing indie, or a completely story based game. Looking forward to the new Life is strange and Lost records. Also got an eye on mixtape. Fans of those types of games seem to have been spoiled recently
