@ShogunRok What class did you play as? Did you get a chance to try all three out? Based on your experience and that of others you may have chatted with, is there a class that feels more fun (or OP) to play?

I realize these are all highly personal questions, but in DA:I, Warrior was boring to play, Mage was OP, and Rogue seemed to have the best gameplay. I'm torn on which class to pick in DA:VG.

We don't need a remake or remaster. It's already perfect. Art style is amazing, story is great, combat and job system is endlessly replayable.

Give us FFT2, a prequel, or something new like Trangle Strategy but in another FF world thousands of years pre/post.

This is my favorite game of all time, but I don’t think it needs a remaster. The original looks great. Maybe re-release with redone CGI, but this isn’t like FF7 or some other early-3D game.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll buy whatever they release to support and because I love the game.

@Enuo This here. This should be the reporting. How can Square state, “We believe that our decision to make Outriders available with Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass as soon as the title launched also worked in our favor," while the game is not profitable.

Did they expect the game to be a complete loss? Or are they required to praise Gamepass for a better rate?

I'm sure it's a good update, but what is this studio doing? Don't you think they have been languishing on a somewhat dead game for almost half a decade? It feels like a wasted first party studio to me.

So my purchase of one year of PS Now and three years of PS+ will hopefully result in a three year subscription to premium. Muhahaha.

@Milktastrophe It's the better one. I wish I could play Outer Wilds again for the first time.

Loud minority that won't play the backwards compatible games who stir the pot on twitter for clicks. I'd love to play older games, but I imagine within five minutes of picking it up I'd move on unless it's FF7/Tactics. This isn't a service that a many would actually use.

@get2sammyb I thought the change was putting a "PS4" or "PS5" logo in the bottom of the icon so you know what version you're playing without going into the menu. I still get the wrong version downloaded — annoying.

Inflation and cash on hand is another factor. If your money is losing 5-10% due to inflation, you might as well buy something that will spur growth of your business. Not to mention it generates revenue too.

Ugh. More consolidation is bad for the industry. I get it, Sony has to have rights to a FPS before they all get bought up, but still stinks.

@TheCollector316 Similar to a large business (e.g., Walmart) coming into an area and lowing prices below profitability. They sustain the losses while the local competition goes under.

Microsoft wants to put Sony on their backfoot, and possibly put Gamestop out of business so they can get the full cut of the digital sale verses a fraction after the physical sale.

@get2sammyb Not getting into it, but your comment assumes their business model (relating to day-one big releases only) is sustainable. I assume they take a major loss on these deals, and it would not be sustainable long-term or for a less cash rich company (i.e., Sony).

@RevGaming Thanks! I'm still going dark. I've found games and movies more enjoyable once I'm sold to avoid trailers. Plus I never look as cool as the trailers. They are jumping around and dodging and I'm hiding behind a rock

I will not be watching the trailer. If you are buying/renting the game, don't. Go in surprised.

Dreams is great, not my cup of tea, but it's about time Media Molecule is forced/allowed to create a new game. It's been like a decade and they have done dreams and Tearaway.

I know this is blasphemy to say, but FYSA, it's available on Gamepass today. Love my PS5 for big games, but these smaller titles are usually played by me on my Series X.

Returnal is worth full price. You have xbox that gives away their games, nintendo that doesn't offer discounts on 10 year old games, and Playstation who is in the middle.

Returnal being snugged is frustrating. It was a great game, but the difficulty scared away many. My GOTY.

Had to watch it later and fast forwarded almost every title…

How frustrating is that mechanic? Is there an indication on matchmaking so us bad players aren't dropped in with a FPS God?

@cherryghost41 Well in the next six months we have: Death Loop, Horizon FW, and Grand Turismo. In the next nine months we have Forspoken and Ghost Wire which are spring 2022.

@gamer_since_83 My assumption is they are focusing on things that are coming soon and stuff very far off. This gets people to buy the games (releases in the next six to nine months) and hyped to buy a PS5 (far off releases 2023-24). I guess GOW is an August/September release, but I have nothing to base that on other than it looked good and you don't want to compete with COD.

They could have announced Factions for Fall next year, Bend for 2023, Santa Monica's other IP with Cory B, but they will hold those for next years show. Focus on what is coming soon and hype far off.

Just my two cents.

Sony/PlayStation does not like announcing studio acquisitions as part of press conferences or shows. Every studio they announced recently has been by press release, tweets, or other means. Why would Bluepoint be any different? They also want to give their last acquisition time to breath and the marketing from this show time to breath. Give it a few weeks and hopefully we see something.

I disagree. Outside of the “paid to be here” games, looking at you Tiny Tina, the show moved quick. Tons of big releases this year, next year, and the year after. Wolverine, Spider-Man, and KOTOR all big surprises.

I can't help but get excited for a studio acquisition but the consolidation of the industry is concerning. I wonder if this is to keep up with Microsoft or due to inflation eating away at cash reserves Sony has/had on hand.

@Rob_230 I have a seven month old and can't imagine juggling two. I started this game over the weekend but am intimidated by the 100+ hours to complete and not get a divorce/have my kid forget me. Any tips besides being a walking zombie.

I love them, but here is why they are liars and misleading you. Yep, sounds like a nice guy. Clearly they could have made these cut scenes, or loaded further in advance, but they didn't and it looks amazing. Why take pot shots other than to make the news?

@Welsh_Will CK3 is simulating hundreds, if not thousands, of individual actions in real time, keeping track of a million individual NPCs and their lives, and much more. CIV might be complex in its mechanics, but this chugs because of all the individual micro decisions behind the scenes. You can track a presents life across the world or change your player character at a moments notice from Irish King to African Chief.

Played it, didn't care for it, won't go back. Not unexpected that they would focus on their console and their long in development sequel.

I love Shawn Layden and miss his voice in Sony's vision. Sony and Microsoft buying studios isn't good for the industry and hopefully it slows down.
