Re: Talking Point: Did Ubisoft Forward Meet Your Expectations?

BigP

Didn’t watch the whole thing just AC as that’s all I’m interested in. Think Valhalla looks very good as somebody who’s very interested in vikings/ that time period and all the mythology etc. Don’t think we’ve ever had a proper vikings before so I was impressed, not sure what else you could put in tbh!

Re: Feature: The PS4 Games We Keep Coming Back To

BigP

Tbh for me it is fifa career mode(but I’m ashamed for it haha)... The amount of hours I play career mode for is ridiculous really, no matter how many times I say I’m not going to get the new one I still do at some point and then play each for hundreds of hours. But other than that I always seem to come back to For Honor, Star Wars battlefront 2 and ESO for my online fix.

Re: Can You Name These PS1 Games?

BigP

3/15 ps1 plonker! Tbf I remember having a PS1 but only games I remember playing was Spyro, Crash and Aladdin haha. Just checked and wasn’t even born when it was out...

Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying The Last of Us 2?

BigP

Hmm, I’ll probably get it next year or something... Played the first one thought it was a good story but gameplay wise nothing amazing, never understood the hype or maybe I was just expecting more due to what everyone says. But I’ll admit I struggle to get motivated to play story games. I just find them so boring sometimes.

Re: July 2019's PlayStation Plus Games Are Available to Download Now on PS4

BigP

Was actually looking forward to PES, quite disappointed now... Was literally the only reason I was going to resubscribe this month, there's been plenty off games that haven't interested me in the past so I just voted with my wallet, don't see why others just don't do the same rather than complaining they can't please everyone every single month, people are into different games and genres etc...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 200

BigP

For me some Star Wars Battlefront 2 which I think is really fun and enjoyed the story too which everyone has said is crap! Then fifa and Zelda on my Switch, haven't really got the time to get into zelda though yet so dk how I feel about it yet (Never played a Zelda game before). Then I'm back to training on Monday so it will just be my switch for the odd hour or 2 on weekends if I get some time that is!! Thinking of getting either Doom or Skyrim for it tomorrow too not sure which to get yet though.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This... Christmas? - Issue 6

BigP

I'll be playing fifa and zelda on my new Switch had no PS4 yet as I'm on my Xmas leave and we've just moved so not been able to set it up. But I know Star Wars is under the tree! So it will be just Zelda atm with fifa when the baby let's me that is! Hopefully can sort PS4 out for Star wars and maybe something in the sales!

Re: Poll: Do You Think Single Player Games Are Really In Danger of Dying Out?

BigP

I feel like we will always have some single player games around as someone will always plug the gap... And with these service games some are actually good if you really like the gameplay your sorted for ages. Reminds me what they do with mmo's but obviously just don't pay for the microtransactions that's a big NO. I'm not going to support that unless they're done in the right way on a free to play GAME. I just like a bit of both just don't like the way they're making games worse even single play now!! By trying to force people to buy microtransactions it just completely ruins the game for people who don't and your abit daft imo if you pay for them just to save time you really should just play the game and earn it and enjoy earning that not just buy it.

Re: Feature: The 20 Best RPGs on PS4

BigP

@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Yeah I agree on the story. Just love being able to do pretty much whatever I want and making my own story's, which is why I loved Fallout 4 so much!

Re: Feature: The 20 Best RPGs on PS4

BigP

Fallout 4 and Skyrim my favourites! Fallout 4 is my favourite game of this gen! Need to have a good run on Skyrim though but that won't be for a while now as I'm away for 14 weeks... Also will eventually get around to The Witcher 3, Horizon and maybe Dragon age which I got for literally a couple of quid in a sale. Just never have the time. Don't really like Japanese games though tbh so that rules alot on this list out!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 190

BigP

I'll be doing some iron banner in Destiny 2, hopefully will get the season rewards by the end of the weekend! Also will be doing some weapon quests and might attempt the Nightfall again, got so close last night in the guided game... Well that is if I'm aloud on the TV as it's just Peppa Pig all day atm...

Re: Bungie Is Looking Into Improving Destiny 2's Endgame

BigP

I don't really know what they could add tbh... I'm really enjoying it still at about 266 light level but taking time to level up. There was a point where I took a few days out, came back on and still really enjoying it. It's kind of the same with most mmo's I've played once you get to the top level and get your character and loot to what you want your just waiting for the next DLC or content for the game. I kind of got what I wanted but then that iron banner stuff came on and I really wanted the gear and been getting a bit bored with my weapons so been having fun grinding to get the iron banner stuff and doing some weapon quests to get some better guns. Only thing I can think that they could add is some sort of big war or something like PVP on ESO or Planetside 2, where you always have something to do with your new pimp gear you earn! And maybe some new weapon quests or quests that have you going to lost sector's or something I can't really think of anything else. But I haven't even played the raid and play mostly solo and have a blast and think there's plenty to do so I'm not complaining... Or maybe they could find a way to add some D1 content in? Seems a waste with all the DLC etc (I only played the Vanilla version so wouldn't know if it's all in the game?) Would be prefer it if they just made it a full MMO though it's already halfway there.

Re: Ratings Board Rules That Loot Boxes in Games Aren't a Form of Gambling

BigP

@dryrain That would mean boycotting most big games this year lol. And even if we did boycott these games, we're still going to have kids gambling their parents money on them anyways, meaning we're stuck with lootboxes anyways. I do think it's pretty much gambling but for me it's more the fact that they're just ruining games making them harder to play unless you buy these loot boxes which I'll never bother with myself because just ruins the experience, the whole point is your meant to earn this stuff by playing the game not spending money, getting lucky and having a massive advantage over players or rushing through the games because of these.

Re: Hands On: Star Wars Battlefront 2 Is a Clumsy, Complicated Sequel

BigP

I literally only had chance to play like 2 games because every other time I tried to play it just lagged me constantly, I don't understand why either because I have pretty high speeds and it's been fine for Destiny 2 aswell as downloading everything else really quick? I'll just assume it was my Internet seen as though I've not heard anyone else have this problem, hopefully it doesn't happen with the actual game... But the couple of games I did have I feel like they've given it a bit more depth and like the battle points system and classes. Hate the loot box thing but as it's a must buy for me I'm just going to have to put up with it and never spend money on them. Why would you!?!? Did think you should be able to go down iron sights in first person and even on some guns I couldn't even go down a scope that they clearly had attached to the gun? Haven't played enough due to lag but what I could play I definitely like.

Re: Assassin's Creed Origins Will Let You Spend Your Egyptian Pounds on Loot Boxes

BigP

Getting sick of these loot boxes been in everything now especially single player games! Not usually one to care about microtransactions usually as they don't really affect me, but loot boxes in games really annoy me if that's the only way you can get certain gear, as if there's something you want it just takes forever to actually get when normally you could just buy it for a in game currency etc.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront 2's Beta Is Now Free for Everyone By the Way

BigP

@KitsuneNight There is a little arcade single player thing where you can play as Darth Maul and you've got kill a load of clones in a certain amount of time or you can use a Super Battledroid and I think there's a team death match with the droids but yeah not much you can do on the single player side this beta.

Re: Review: Middle-earth: Shadow of War (PS4)

BigP

Good review. Didn't even realise this was coming out so soon lol? Glad to here it's improved, one more good game to add to my to buy list down the line! Quick question though, @ShogunRok what's this about forts, can we take over them with our army and will they be attacked by other captains etc? Really not followed this game tbh.

Re: Review: Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS4)

BigP

Never really heard of this but it does sound and look good. What's the price like for the UK? Not going to be able to play it anyways as I start my basic training in less than 3 weeks so not going to be able to commit to anything big. I'll add it to massive list of games I'm going to have to play when I get time off!

Re: Poll: Do You Want Another Portable PlayStation?

BigP

I would rather have something like the Switch to play my PS4 games on. But I wouldn't want to sacrifice the power of the PS4 or PS5 to do that because that means we wouldn't get the sort of games I like to play on the console. So maybe some sort of Hybrid is the best way to do it like the Switch but it would have to be powerful enough to run the latest AAA games. I still want to be able to play on the TV but would be convenient for me to be able to take my games on the go and have something portable for when the TV is being used. Remote play is a good way around this but I've got like the best Sony Xperia but I just don't think the WiFi is good enough meaning it's just annoying to try play that way. Doubt Sony would do a hybrid because they'd have to sacrifice on power or price so now I'll just hope the Switch gets a few really good third partie games like maybe Fallout 4 alongside the ones it's already got coming and pick that up and have the PS4 as my main Console and Switch as portable.

Re: Skyrim's Getting a Full Survival Mode, But It's Part of the Crappy Creation Club

BigP

I've got no problem with the Creation Club tbh... If I see content that's worth buying I'll happily buy it, if not I won't. It's good because means we can pretty much get new mods but basically like official DLC so it has to work and be supported officially I assume. It's just like DLC really if you think it's worth it but it, if not don't it's all good.
