It's rather remarkable that threads on nerd video game websites could see that Embracers rapid expansion based on market trends and apparently nothing else was going to end badly.
Unless of course these buyouts, and I'm assuming plenty of tax exemptions were the plan all along....

@TheCollector316 The Hotstock app is great, it's how I grabbed one off of PS Direct.

I love my Portal, my only real complaint is the inability to log onto wifi the requires a sign in. I know there are plenty of work around but I honestly had no idea when I bought it and it was a scrappy surprise

@nessisonett These numbers are staggering, it's sickening. It reads like all purchasing and game creation decisions were made by people who clearly have no hx of VG industry ebb and flow, people that were outsmarted by Nerds in gaming websites that saw this coming years ago. I really need to try and sue down and read investor meeting notes for a full cycle, might be fascinating.

Considering this generation I've finally joined Team Green, and finally got to indulge in Gears, Halo,Forza I'm good.

Was I suppose to know that 3+ years into PS5, we'd have only niche 1st party games- excluding SM 2? Here Sony is talking about possibly More remakes......PS4 might have been this barren, don't recall but I do remember the constant remasters

@B0udoir What's so unreasonable to think it can't be both. I lived in Korea for 2 years, and the sport is fairly popular.
Also walking in the big cities seeing women that looked like anime was pretty common

Having said that, if you notice nobody ever gets fired because they were a bad employee, so just believing rumors because they are a " hot button topic" is a slippery slope.

I dearly love Playstation, I'll never forget being sicker than a dog on my birthday and opening a PS1 to my utter shock and joy. It started a long love affair and brand loyalty, and grabbing a pS5 during the shortage was almost the same joy again.
I have not bought a single PS5 only game yet this Gen, and all these remakes are not exactly making me want to. This generation has been surreal

So this might be pure conspiracy on my part, but I think Wesley , previously of Eurogamer, is hijacking articles and reposting them on IGN from Pushsquare, Eurogamer, Pure Xbox.

I've noticed a LOT of similar articles find their way on IGN shortly after they get published on these sites

@PsBoxSwitchOwner I'm a DIEHARD FarCry fan, (FC 2 most beloved shooter ).
I usually ...preorder(farcry only], and usually the Gold steel case versions. FC6 dropped by half after a couple weeks, so I'll wait

I debated whether I'd regret letting it lapse in 10 days, and this months games are for me the worst I can recall personally in a while, so I feel petty but vindicated

See, I watched a friend play several FF's for dozens of hours on Nintendo and Final Fantasy VII on PS1 was a natural step for me so u could keep up worth the story and so was VIII and 10 and 11, quite possibly 12 as well.
I only faked sick days from school so I could play 7 hours straight so as not to forget the plot

@wildcat_kickz Everyone gives Sledgehammer so much grief, but they are absolutely Activisions fall guys. Advanced Warfare was a ton of fun and really refreshing from a gameplay standpoint. I feel pretty bad for the studio

" overtime/crunch" is administrative and and as with other fields the nuances and underlying bits and pieces are staggering.

I should of prefaced with I'm not an Island person, you folks Def have better built in oversights and safe guards.

I certainly wasnt making light of stuff like this, but setting the barn on fire for what is pretty normal in large demanding fields just irks me to no end 🤷‍♂️

@Deljo I'm in the same boat, I find it eye rolling. This is not some one off industry that is impacted like this. Most fields call it overtime, ( salaried or not) and I don't think I've seen near the feigned outrage in other places. Being a salaried medical professional leaves me with very little sympathy.

That left me incredibly confused....... I think.......I might be old...

The timing of Plus increasing- before the holidays- when I'm sure a lot of people have expiring subs, and releasing no real big bangers on plus was such a bizarre business plan.

I'm done this month as well, and I'm not going to renew.

Will be curious to see what Holiday sale pricing will look like with the new increase
