I always wait now and don’t do day one as much.
Did with HFW stopped playing until patches released.
GOWR was ok for me day one.
And most Switch games are good day one.
We won’t mention Xbox 😂

This game should have never got the scores it got with all this mess going on.
Gamers need to stop buying games like this until they are fully patched etc.
it is the only way to stop the companies releasing games in this condition.

After the last three years of Microsoft performance games wise, I’m glad it’s not gone through.

I will stick to pay as you go for my games.
Just like taxes, it’s simple and easy.

Really hope moving forward all big Sony AAA games are PS5 only.
Then perhaps we can really see what all the so called new technology fuss is all about.

Bring back the old days when I was young.
New generation console, new games just for that console taking advantage of its new technology almost instantly and a lot quicker.
This is definitely a slow generation in that regards.

I’m chilled gaming wise at the minute on all consoles. My next purchase will be TOTK.

Me thinks this will be the best looking game on PS5 for a good 2 years now.
Can’t see SM2 or nothing else in 2024 beating it.
So that is the graphical pinnacle for a while done with. Until 2025.

True but Xbox will mess it up or make it below average and shove it out on game pass.
Sony should just go make a COD type game of their own and make it will be better.

World wide Xbox consoles sales are down month on month Jan to March 2023.
Let them buy ABK, Xbox doesn’t have a big following like PlayStation and Nintendo.
COD is not that special haven’t purchased in years and the way Xbox handles its studios and average games it releases on game pass they will probably mess up it.
Cheer up and forge ahead gamers with Sony and Nintendo.

If you are gonna try to stop the purchase of ABK by any company. Then you best had be extremely clean yourself and not pay for timed exclusives or pay to keep games of subscription services.

Else the company you are trying to stop buying ABK will come at you. Tit for Tat.

This is totally business sense, do you think the other company is just gonna lay down and give in and apologise to Sony for evening trying to buy ABK.

SONY as a business in all divisions should look at ways of improving themselves to create better profits and sales, how about stop charging more for less in TV market for a start. They might sell more TVs and gain more profit that way and some market share back from the competition.

Then again if Samsung or LG tried to buy Panasonic, Sony would moan about that and not looked inward at why they have declined in the TV market internally over the last ten years.

That is why I have an LG C2 65 for my PS5

Wish they would spend the money on giving 4 HDMI 2:1 ports on their 2023 top OLEDS than waste money in this new device.
Then they might become king of the TVs again one day.

Yes it was much improved on my PS5 after the patches and I’m glad I waited until it was patched before getting to into the game.

Will we ever see a better looking true open world game, than HFW Burning shores, this generation.
It truly is a site to behold.

Have such wonderful memories of E3 back in the day.
The suspension, excitement and revealing of consoles and games.
The cheers and gasps of the crowd the euphoria.
RIP E3 I shall miss the old days shared with you.

I think my point i I would have gone Sony OLED last year had it had the four HDMI 2:1 ports.
Or even 2 with the earc on one of the other two none HDMI 2:1 ports as a compromise.
Yes they lost the sale for being years behind or tight, to LG in this case.
That’s why they third now or lower in the TV market they just do daft things other at Sony TV HQ.

With me series x through HDMI 2:1 I get full VRR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and 120fps.
Yes most of it is gimmick being honest but it’s nice to have the above at 60fps with Dolby Vison and Atmos even if some of it isn’t true and sort of fake. Gears 6 and Hive busters are true Dolby Vision and Atmos at 60 fps though.
But then again I play Switch the most lately at good old 1080P 60FPS maximum 😂

No price increase in the USA and now a little bundle price reduction.
They definitely trying to capture the American market more off Microsoft and Nintendo.
That’s business.

But as we rule a lot in Europe you can go get stuffed. 😂

I get what you mean, but Sony should make the effort with their top end TVs by now especially in 2023. And the extra price they charge.
That’s why I got an LG C2 65inch last year and not a Sony tv.
I need 2 HDMI 2:1 and earc for sound system.
Then when switch 2 pops up maybe 3 HDMI 2:1.

It wouldn’t be so bad if one of the two HDMI 2:1 on the Sony TV wasn’t the earc port as well.
Just stupid and being tight, that’s what they are.

Glad Samsung and LG have taken their market share or most of it anyway. Sony deserves it.

You thought they would have leant a few years ago with the whole low latency Dolby vision thing on their blu rays players, but no Sony never do learn, apart from a bit in the gaming market.

Most Samsung top models do have 4 HDMI 2:1 ports the same as the LG C2 for example.
Yes lower model’s don’t always have 4 of them.

Port two earc has to be port two.
Port three not HDMI 2:1
Port four not HDMI 2:1
Now where does my series x go or maybe the new Switch 2
Dumb Sony company no wonder LG and Samsung walk all over them now in the TV market with four full 2:1 HDMI ports.

If it makes financial sense to have COD in PlayStation of course it should be.

Sony will never learn, like again in 2023 releasing their new top end OLED 2023 TVs with just 2 HDMI 2:1 ports.
Useless company and have been in the Audio Visual market for the last five odd years.

My investment of £10.99 a month locked in for years was a great one.

Well at least maybe now Xbox can let loose all their game plans with Zenimax and other studios.
And also Sony can’t advertise COD on TV like it’s an exclusive no more.

Finally nearly all over and about time.
Sony will be fine and I think have a ten year COD deal though they now have no signed agreement I believe like Nintendo so maybe no COD for PlayStation unless Microsoft thinks it is worth it.

Perhaps now Sony can focus their energies on something positive for their console and own studios.

You are absolutely right about time and cost.
I mean you could take ten years plus with 400 developers to develop a game that’s totally graphically in every way possible outstanding.
But wow it would have to be such a commercial success to get your investment back.
Unless heavily financed and the company didn’t care about making any money.

Looking at the funny side it’s had a couple of delays as it is. Had we had PS5 development as well we would have been looking at next year for release or year after 😂

£15.99 is cool, but it’s size and quality that matters.
If it ends a up a 5 hour PS5 graphical show case like PSVR2 call of the mountain then £15.99 is not that good is it.

Yes I think they must have a big game for end of 2023 or who knows Switch 2 or even Switch Pro.
With a Switch Pro it would stay in the Switch family and count as Switch console sales.

It’s a strange PS5 year for me as well but for different reasons. Hopefully the HFW dlc will be worth the purchase for me. After that nothing until Spider-Man 2 and that’s my whole 2023 done on PS5 this year.

Switch is where it’s at for me at the moment this year, MK8 online and new tracks, BOTW2 and Pikmin 4 and hoping for AAA platform surprise for the end of 2023.

Xbox, having GPU normally always something about, like atomic heart and Wo Long.
Of course Redfall May and Starfield Sep if they are very good. So you never know with Xbox.

So for me if I had to rank this year 2023 on what we know so far it is totally different from 2022.
Game wise only 2022
PS5, Switch then Xbox

Game wise only 2023
Switch, Xbox then PS5

For me it seems as not into VR or FF, Spider man 2 is the only big Sony studio game for me this year.
Looking like the other two for me might do a bit better this year unless Sony have something up their sleeve.
Either way PS5 will sell the most this year worldwide, can’t see Switch beating them this year now stock is a lot better.

I guess it’s cheaper for them to landfill them than.
Give them to charity logistics wise
Deliver them to shops and sell very cheap logistics wise.

Such a shame for the charities, will never buy another pop or the companies products again.

So enjoying how Nintendo are just sitting back chilling with the Switch and BOTW2 and Mario Movie, being all self independent etc.
And also get some sort of ten year deal out of it just for a laugh 😆

Of course Game Pass day one for me.
Just glad the game seems really good after the slightly questionable atomic heart.

Sony puts has itself always had very good and very average years on and off.
They heavily rely on their in house amazing AAA blockbusters to create the hype for PlayStation.
They started year one great
Year 2 amazing HFW, GT7 and GOWR.
Year 3 will probably be quiet apart from Spider-Man 2.
These games take time and cost lists of money.

Sony don’t have much to worry about, their main competitor is ducking things up so much I’m surprised Microsoft bother with the Xbox department.
They already 150 thousand less series consoles sold in 2023 compared to 2022.

I guess it’s all business and a business I’m not in so I don’t truly understand it.
Well let’s just hope it all works out ok in the end for the gamers, as that is what counts.
I’m more of a Nintendo gamer at the moment so I’m sort offside out of the main debate really being fair.

A tough question to answer.
But bluntly I guess but not in a bad way.
It’s the way of the world, lots of big companies buy others out or join other companies to form bigger companies.
The car industry is a good example a good few different makes of car are owned by the same group. I know different but it’s all about business and buyouts.
Goes to show for all the truly amazing work Sony developers have done over the decades with their stunning first party AAA games.
They know where the cash cow is in COD.

Someone on here said, so not sure if true.
But COD makes Sony more money in a year than three of their AAA exclusives releasing that same year and continues to further into the next year as well and so on as the cycle of releases continue.
