Have you got the back of the box art? I wonder if they're playable in English (Spanish games normally say so separate to the subtitle/audio option stuff in a little white breakout box). The collection is FWIW.
@ShogunRok I'm not familiar with MMO terminology, but if by 'grouping' you mean 'being forced to play with other people to clear a dungeon', that's when I stopped playing. Was a long time ago, and it is a bit of a shame, cos once the fixed the debacle of the first release, I really enjoyed it til about level 18.
Spent most of the day with it in between trying to get work done, and played bits of most everything that I have for it. Still no motion sickness to speak of - although I did get a slight dizzy feeling during the Job Simulator demo; probably too many donuts.
The Playroom platform game is really good, hope they do something with it. Rez Infinite is fantastic, especially with the 'full' VR settings turned on. I wish I had bought EVE Valkyrie having played Gunjack, but I'm gamed out now for this month. Also Thumper. The demo is intense and wish I'd grabbed that too.
All in all still very impressed. One occasion the tracking did the in-and-out wobble thing, but upon removing the headset, my physical head was in direct sunlight. Hasn't happened since.
In Spain, on Amazon (earlier), you could still get one by Saturday (or Monday if you're too far away from the distribution centres). UK Amazon has had 12th December for fulfilling pre-orders for ages.
I think it's safe to say that it's sold shedloads. Spain can be a bit backwards, but even with the good delivery option, it has been in the top 5 selling video game stuff for a long time.
I think this is a bit like Apple Watch. It might not sell millions, but it will certainly sell more than the competition almost immediately upon launch.
I am in nearly every post and I LOVE IT. It's really really good.
Just watched some Back to the Future (the end of 1, the start of 2) via Netflix. The resolution is adequate. You know when you spent ages trying to get scanlines to look good in MAME? Yeah, no problem. It's very cool and feels like a very large screen.
The 3D audio is different. I think I'd prefer real surround sound but turning away from the picture and the audio doing the right thing is pretty special.
@Furtin I think after a few minutes the DC graphics aren't really an issue - that's not to say they're good of course. I loved my time there so far. Especially the beginning where you're in the single seater and you look to your right and left and there's car(!) for the first time while it loads or whatever. FML it's good
I didn't get Batman or Thumper, but I'm gonna get me some Rez action and Rigs later. Battlezone is awesome fun.
Also, atm eurogamer have a live stream, and it's quite amusing. Tempted to get EVE Valkrie too after watching the stream there and playing Gunjack.
The graphics in DriveClub are a disappointment (apart from the car interiors which are incredible). But crashing into a wall is fecking realistic and even after a few occasions I was still recoiling as the car came towards it.
The force feedback seems a bit weak, and the volume seems a bit low, but it's still great despite the crap resolution. Hope Pro can upgrade it a little for me next month.
I've only got the demo (I think it's either in the download or on the blu-ray?). I'm waiting for the sun to go round the house rather than being even more of a hermit during the daytime, but about half an hour and I should have a shaded lounge.
I can't believe i forgot that I had a table and wheel in front of me after only two minutes. Mad.
I'm loving it so far. Only done Ocean Descent (no shark one yet), and a few minutes on Eve Gunjack. No motion sickness and headbutted my steering wheel looking at a stingray.
@carlos82 Tomb Raider you can. There's a development video on Youtube which shows the boundaries appear as they're moving. A green mesh appears when you get to the limits of the camera's tracking area, but it is a very small area as you surmised.
I was really hoping this would score well, especially since it's one of my pre-ordered and now paid-for titles. On the PlayStation Access vid they specifically asked him if it looked the same: he said yes. On the recent eurogamer podcast, Richard whatshisname said that it was very impressive and his co-presenters agreed. I mean, what?If it's so blurry that you can't make out the road then I'd say that should have been flagged before now, embargo or no.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Yup in a way. It looks really good. I don't do online, but the campaign I'd love to play. Just sell it me without making me pay 50 quid for the privilege.
@Wazeddie22 How've you got round the storage thing with physical releases? All mine install and take up masses of space. For example, the Uncharted collection is over 40gb, but I have it only on disc.
@roe With the collection at £30, they will be more like £14.99 each I would imagine, which if the collection didn't exist I wouldn't think unreasonable.
Pretty much everything you post is a snipe or slagging off of another member / mod here. Taking the piss about how old someone might be when you come across as a 12 year old?
Have you even considered that there are more gamers over 36 than under 18?
@adf86 only looked for 5 minutes, but literally the only splitter / switch I could find that supports HDR as well as 4K is £60 and not actually available to buy yet (Amazon UK pre-order). I don't think this will be fixable in firmware.
@rjejr Yeah the FFXV 'deal' is suspect, to say the least. I'm more a "pay now regret later" sort, but if you've managed to avoid most of UC4 spoilers that are literally everywhere, then I'd be hanging for a BF deal on that one. Ot that and ROTTR for peanuts
@rjejr Oh yeah, Vanille had death in 13. Level 8 or 9 Crystarium I believe. Good for the 'oises, if under-levelled. And they went 'poof' when it hit successfully. I thought that was actually a nice graphical effect, too, to be honest.
@rjejr I thought you didn't have any variant of the PS4? I'm not sure what the choice is here, unless it's money, in which case why didn't you get one last week? If you're still holding out, regardless of what console this footage is from, you should be buying a Pro if money ain't a problem and a slim if it is, but if you want to get on board with Sony, it's not that difficult a proposition.
Back to FFXV, whilst I still have my pre-order, I still think this looks - and sounds - rubbish. It's almost as though QA have realised the actual gameplay is terrible, the story's weak and that, crap, we'd better pad the hell out of it asap. Here you are: a DEATH spell. Well, that's me sold for another few days. This is going to do massive damage to SE.

@wiiware That's weird! Whereabouts are you? Couldn't you create a PSN account for the US store, for example?
Re: Review: Thumper (PS4)
You can use the D-Pad to change lanes. Much easier than the stick...
Re: Review: Rez Infinite (PS4)
@Smash41 Someone over on Eurogamer says their shipping date has pushed back to december, if you haven't pushed the button yet.

Re: Hardware Review: PlayStation VR - Launch Guide, Cinematic Mode, Best Games
I've done a bit of EVE Gunjack and The Ocean descent thing. Colour me impressed so far!
I can't find an elegant way, when sitting to deal with the cable from the headset though.
Re: PS4 Pro Will Be Compatible with SATA 3 Hard Drives
I'm guessing the installed drive is still SATA2 though?
Re: Opinion: Which PlayStation VR Launch Games Should You Buy?
I've got Driveclub, Rez, Battlezone, Tumble & Rigs waiting for me later today. I might get Eve and have pre-ordered Star Trek Bridge Crew.
The courier it's with doesn't normally arrive until around 4pm though, which is ages away!

Re: Video: Racing Around the Bend in DriveClub VR on PS4
@get2sammyb is this the social screen output?
Re: Review: DriveClub VR (PS4)
@get2sammyb thanks, I misinterpreted - theyre taking the mickey as in a 'what's the point of 4k images' way.
Re: Review: DriveClub VR (PS4)
Digital Spy's review says that basically all the screenshots we've seen so far were sent in 4K to the publishers. Is that true?

What are the review embargo dates, per title?
Re: Review: Dragon Quest Builders (PS4)
@rjejr It annoys me that I can't get NNK on EU Playstation Now. I'd love to play thru it again.
Re: PlayStation VR Freebie The Playroom VR Has a Platinum
I downloaded this this morning. It's got a nice shiny VR folder all to itself
Re: Video: Job Simulator's Some of the Dumbest Fun You'll Find on PS4

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 138
Driveclub, to familiarise myself with it in advance of Thursday and Tomb Raider, Definitive Edition since I've only ever played its intro.
Incidentally, DriveClub VR is 'very impressive' according to a snippet in the Digital Foundry video from here: https://youtu.be/RnhfBOaeNmA?t=602

Re: Mafia III PR Stunt Sounds Like a Huge Pile of Shite
@ShogunRok Just refer your colleagues to the Guardian's view on profanity both in articles and BTL
https://www.theguardian.com/media/mind-your-language/2010/apr/14/swearing-guardian They did a better piece more recently, but I can't find it. However, the salient point to take from their article is that asterisks are a cop out.
Re: Mafia III PR Stunt Sounds Like a Huge Pile of Shite
@ShogunRok haha, as Ellie might say, "I'm just f*ckin' with ya"
Re: Hardware Review: PlayStation VR - The Future of Play
@roe There are conflicting reports. It will work wirelessly according to erm, Verge, I think - but you get only stereo audio.
Yes, it's Verge where I read that: http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/5/13167954/playstation-vr-review-ps4-psvr-virtual-reality-headset-controllers - cmd/ctrl f for 'stereo' if you don't want to read it all.
Re: Hardware Review: PlayStation VR - The Future of Play
@get2sammyb Cheers Sammy
Re: Mafia III PR Stunt Sounds Like a Huge Pile of Shite
You have been asked several times now to watch the language I won't ask anymore. -Tasuki-
Re: Hardware Review: PlayStation VR - The Future of Play
Great review, and getting pretty positive ones elsewhere (part from Gamespot and Kotaku) too.
But no-one seems to have a DriveClub VR review yet. Any news @get2sammyb ?
Can't wait for next week!
Re: Feature: October on PS4 Is Packed with Promising Games

Re: Feature: October on PS4 Is Packed with Promising Games
@Mahe How does it work? I used to be good at DDR, but my dancing games finished with DDR Extreme 10years ago or so.
