For an idea of what this MIGHT look like, there's a CGI short on "Love, Death and Robots" with a similar theme. The game reminded me of it everytime you interacted with someone in the world.

I'm glad we'll always have this game. Super sad that BGE2 was in dev hell for too long, not to mention the creative director passing away. It might have been a fun romp in the same universe. Unless a Christmas miracle happens...

While not surprising in the least, it's saddening to see. I love physical media on my shelf and having an actual games library to hand. Not to mention that digital pricing (especially on PSN) is inflated to a disgusting amount. Most likely in the minority on this, but the fact that I can own it and pay less for games are top of the list for preferring physical media.

I'm praying they get Joey Ansah again. It was so sad to see him get pushed aside after all the passion and hard work put into this amazing movie. The best game-movie ever made IMO.

I played Avengers quite a bit. It was great at first. But then I did everything possible and it wasn't updated since. I hope this delivers better than that and I pray I can really enjoy this one. Love Batman stuff and it'll be great if they capture how strong the Court of Owls really is.

@kcarnes9051 Fair point well made. I can get behind "revenge bad" and the fact that neither character got any satisfaction in their quest for revenge. And that there are always two sides to every story good, bad or otherwise. It was nice to come full circle and feeling empty was definitely the goal. For me, I would have preferred to break up each character's story a bit more across a playthrough or trim Abby's timeline a little bit. Didn't hate her at all, but I felt like it took a bit too long to come back around to Ellie.

@kcarnes9051 After the character change, I thought it was a bit too long. Running around with someone else for 4-6hrs was a bit jarring when I played it. Other than that, I thought the game was a great technical achievement, especially how well it ran on PS4. Great scenes, script and acting but I felt those sections took too long and didn't loop around soon enough.

I really want this to be good... but the laboured voice acting and the one-dimensional combat doesn't look promising.

Before anybody eats this article up without salt... (game you love) is not going to be for everyone. I have major issues with TLOU2's pacing myself, but I can see why the Russos love the cinematics in it. ND are known for their amazing set pieces and it stands to reason that two directors would praise it from the lens they're so used to seeing through.

I loved Death Stranding for its lonely open world, delivering packages to people I barely come into contact with, but that's not everyone's cup of tea either.

TLOU2 was dunked on for so many reasons, some of which I agree with and some that I don't. As a game, it's very well made. As a story, its writing wandered too much for me. As a cinematic experience, it has great composition and acting throughout.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined...

This game was kinda DOA, but it could have been something good with a little love. The raids are kinda boring and repetitive, the rewards are mediocre and they don't really offer a range of challenges unless you up the difficulty of the game. Reminds me of Diablo III, which I didn't enjoy much. If they COULD resurrect this game, I'd be on it like a shot.

Fist of the North Star : Lost Paradise II would be sweet.

My monitor downsamples from 4K, but I'd love the option to use 1440p as well. Some cool features here for sure, but the one thing I wish they did overall was revert the message groups back to how they were before. I hate that they're a "group" and you have to leave it.

This is why DisplayPort should be the standard for devices IMO. HDMI varies a lot even now. Sadly, I got stuck with HDMI 2.0 on my 1440p 144hz monitor. Would be nice if we see this implemented in the future.

@ScottyG I'm with you. One of the most sprawling and exciting R* games ever. 60fps is all I ask.

The only thing I want in a future update is to have a simple message system. No creating a group just to message someone, but still having the option to create one for pals etc. It's an odd system, but maybe things will change when their Discord app drops.

While they're at it... I hope they can port Double Dragon Neon too. I'd love to play that online with friends again.

I'd would also like to join the clamouring masses of people who are screaming "DQ8 REMASTER" at this screen right now. I loved that game more than most RPGs I've played over the years.

This news is something I've been looking forward to for ages! Really glad that the gap is closing on how we can chat to our friends on different platforms. Bit of a big ask, but I'd really love it if "Share your Screen" became an option on PS4/5 as well. Sharing your gameplay among pals in real time would be a real treat. Well done, Sony.

Asura's Wrath DLC is the final chapter of the game that's hidden behind a paywall. Sucks, but it's a damn good story. And I'm pretty sure there's no full version of the game on disc that's easily attainable. I'm gonna miss the stores, but I hope they'll find a way to keep some of these games alive.

If I had my way? Just change Communities to something "Powered by Discord" and we'd be OK. Would bridge the gap for a lot of things. 💚

How many games can they reuse this for, anyway? It doesn't seem to have any real purpose other than to keep rehashing the same type of game, a la Assassin's Creed.

@Kdog Yeah, I can see that too. People are happy with Ellie's journey and where it takes her. As for me, I tried to put myself there but found it very difficult. Aside from how I felt about the writing, everything technical about this game is fantastic too and hats off to all the performers. Thanks for the feedback 🍻

@thefirst That's how I treat it as well. I don't like it, but I won't stop others from liking it. That being said, I wouldn't give this game a 10/10 across the board. I didn't go in asking to be "woke", as it were. Still, I'd hate to alter your experience by saying anymore than I have. Glad to hear you're enjoying it, all the same.

It was pretty to look at with some great moments spliced through. The game played REALLY well for me, but it didn't take me with it like the first one did. Thanks !

From someone who bought this game physical and avoided the spoilers, I can praise everything about this game EXCEPT the story. It held no weight for me and I couldn't get invested in anything they were trying to tell me. Its writing just seemed to lead nowhere, except to the credits with not a lot to show for it.
Friendly discussion , I'd invite anyone here who considers this a "masterpiece 10/10" game to tell me what did it for them.

@shuvamg009 I'm with you on this one. I'm kinda tired of seeing remakes being so prominent these days. There are plenty as is, so I hope they'll focus on RE8 instead and leave the remakes for another while. Granted, I would totally play a CVX remake. It's been a while since RE7, so a new main title would be great.

As of now, working through Y5. Need to get Y6 and Judgement. Y7 is on the way this year. And I'm looking forward to trying out the new battle system. More Yakuza games please.
