Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Cyberpunk 2077, 5 Years Later?

Gunga

I played on Ps5 after update 2.0. I really enjoyed the combat, it is punchy and powerful feeling. The story/quests are good and well written for the most part. The levelling system was really good, scope to build many different builds. Where it loses points for me is the open world, I felt it was a bit sterile when compared to say RDR2. Maybe I didn't involve myself with exploration enough on Cyberpunk but I never felt compelled to where as on RDR2 the world just begs to be explored and lived in.
Solid 8/10 for me though overall, really enjoyed my two playthroughs.

Re: GTA 6 Delayed Again, Pushed Back to November 2026

Gunga

Timing of this announcement clearly to distract from the ongoing controversy around the sackings.
I'm not fussed if it's delayed, will.be ready when it's ready, plenty great games to play in the meantime. What I do not get though is why pretty much all major releases always have delays. Why do the production comapnies/developers routinely get it wrong?

Re: PS5 Players Choose Performance Mode 75% of the Time

Gunga

Not a deal breaker for me but I always choose performance mode. If I've been playing a 60fps game and then go to play a 30fps game I definitely notice a difference but once you get used to it it's fine, for me at least. RDR2 is my favourite game of all time probably and that is 30fps and I'm fine with that.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 522

Gunga

Elden Ring for me. A bit late to the party and after trying it, not getting hooked and then trying it a second time, I am now well and truly into it! Busy exploring the Altus Plateau just now before moving onto the next area.
Also will play some Gran Turismo 7 for some downtime.

Re: Gran Turismo 7 Promises Major PS5, PS4 Update Next Week

Gunga

It's nice having new cars and some new tracks would be awesome but what I feel the game really needs is dozens more single player events. I remember the old games having single make championships, like the Yaris Cup for example, and things like that is what the game misses. Just my thoughts.
If and when they get the Sophy AI implemented fully that would make a huge difference too

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Realistically Expect from PS5, PS4's Game Pass Inspired PS Plus Reboot?

Gunga

Combine ps plus and psNow, the ability to trial ALL games (very unlikely I know) before buying and all games in the library to be fully downloadable.
A nice touch would be an xp type reward system, so, you earn xp for a trophy for example and than as you level up you unlock maybe new themes or cosmetic items to personalise your home screen etc. Or earn virtual currency to spend in the store on games or dlc. We all love that loop of earning xp and levelling up so why not add it to these platforms..

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 399

Gunga

God of War. Second play through of this amazing game, this time on ps5. Started playing to kill some time and can’t put it down even though I’ve done it all before. I have Ghost of Tsushima Directors cut for ps5 but that can wait for now. Will probably dive into f1 2021 too to keep my career going. Too many games, not enough time…

Re: F1 2021 Races Onto PS5, PS4 This Summer, Free Upgrade Path Confirmed

Gunga

Once I get my grubby mits on a Ps5 I will prob end up buying this game in a sale. The story mode is a nice addition but what would make this a day1 purchase for me would be a more in depth/fleshed out myteam mode. I really enjoyed it on f1 2020 but would love it to go to the next level for detail and realism. I just hope it doesn't go the same way as Fifa now that EA have it...😬

Re: Future Bethesda Games Will Ship 'Where Game Pass Exists'

Gunga

Have to say I'm gutted about that, not surprised at all, I mean, why spend all that money to still allow you competitors to market the games. I'm really keen on the fallout and Elder Scrolls series but can't justify buying a 2nd console just for a couple games sadly. Oh well. Perhaps Sony can fill the void and develop similar games for Ps5...

Re: Soapbox: How Yakuza Proves Bigger Open Worlds Aren't Always Better

Gunga

For me it all depends on the game. The likes of Rdr2's world was huge but it gave me the sense of being in a wild, frontier land kind of place which I feel a small map wouldn't have been able to do it justice but then you get some games which just feel empty. I think on balance I'd prefer a small detailed world to a large empty one but I love huge open worlds as long as they are done well.

Re: Feature: Could PlayStation Do More to Promote Green Packaging?

Gunga

The easiest way to solve all this is just to make the digital game pricing more in line with the cost of physical games. I still think its outrageous that digital games can cost sometimes £15 more on release than physical copies. If they were better priced more people would buy them, simple.

Re: Poll: Do You Have a PS5?

Gunga

I'd like one, especially with being off work just now it would be great to get to grips with it but it ain't gonna happen. I can wait until they are readily available, whenever that'll be because I'm not spending my days competing with scalper bits trying to get it online just now.

Re: Guess What? Cyberpunk 2077 Still Has Serious Crashing Issues on PS5, PS4 After Patch 1.10

Gunga

It still absolutely baffles me that they released this game when they did. They surely would have known that it wasn't ready. I get that they had pushed it back several times and didn't want to do it again but that must have been better than all this bad PR since launch. Also, I'm not technically adept when it comes to games so I don't understand how it can work fine on some for some folk but not others, on the same systems. Can anybody help explain?

Re: Sony Removes Cyberpunk 2077 from PS Store, Pledges Refunds for All PS Store Purchases

Gunga

I'm amazed that they released this game when they did. I know there must have been pressures to do so to capture the Christmas Market but they would have been fully aware of the issues the game had but they released it anyway. Everything they have been saying post launch is not a case of hindsight, to me it just smacks of 'we thought we'd get away with this' but turns out folk aren't happy with a broken game. It's a shame but they really only have themselves to blame. I was looking forward to playing this over the holidays but gonna wait now until I have a Ps5 to get it.
Poor show CDPR

Re: Poll: Are You Buying Cyberpunk 2077?

Gunga

Super excited for this game but I think I'm going to try wait until I have a Ps5 and until the ps5 update is released. Having said that, 2 weeks off at Christmas will quite possibly result in me buying it for my Ps4 😂

Re: More Publishers Pondering PS5 Game Price Hikes

Gunga

Every generation the price of games go up, or at least that's what it seems to me. They probably will come down in price once more people have the new consoles, after a 6 months or a year perhaps. The one that gets me is why digital games routinely cost £10 more new than physical ones, but that's a different issue

Re: How Gran Turismo 7 Is Using PS5's Unique Features

Gunga

I have to say I'm about sceptical about the how much of a game changer the haptic feedback will be. Perhaps it's my limited imagination but I just can't see how it's going to make the gaming experience that much better. Having said that, I would gladly eat many slices of humble pie if I am proved wrong!

Re: All PlayStation Now Games

Gunga

@MarcG420 cheers for that, makes total sense, otherwise you could just sign up for a free trial and download everything without paying a penny!
