I played on Ps5 after update 2.0. I really enjoyed the combat, it is punchy and powerful feeling. The story/quests are good and well written for the most part. The levelling system was really good, scope to build many different builds. Where it loses points for me is the open world, I felt it was a bit sterile when compared to say RDR2. Maybe I didn't involve myself with exploration enough on Cyberpunk but I never felt compelled to where as on RDR2 the world just begs to be explored and lived in. Solid 8/10 for me though overall, really enjoyed my two playthroughs.
@captainsandman I'm with you on that. Don't give me credits for nothing, let me grind my way up. I felt this Gran Turismo the progression early on was too quick, I miss the days of doing a Sunday Cup race 5 times just to afford a new flywheel.
Still plugging away at KCD2. Might put the side missions away for now and finally plough on with some more story quests. Bit of career mode on Fc26 also to keep me entertained
Timing of this announcement clearly to distract from the ongoing controversy around the sackings. I'm not fussed if it's delayed, will.be ready when it's ready, plenty great games to play in the meantime. What I do not get though is why pretty much all major releases always have delays. Why do the production comapnies/developers routinely get it wrong?
If it's a game I am really keen or excited for then I'll buy a physical copy. If I then enjoy the game I'll keep it in my collection and if it's a letdown I'll sell it online. If I'm between games and I want something quick and easy I'll often go digital as there's always something on sale worth a try
Dragons Dogma 2. Played for a few hours so far. It's not fully clicked with me yet but there's enough there to keep me trying. If by the end of the weekend if it hasn't fully grabbed me I'll probably move kn.
Not a deal breaker for me but I always choose performance mode. If I've been playing a 60fps game and then go to play a 30fps game I definitely notice a difference but once you get used to it it's fine, for me at least. RDR2 is my favourite game of all time probably and that is 30fps and I'm fine with that.
This weekend I'll continue working my thorough GT7, have some endurance races to do. I've done 2 episodes of Alan Wake remastered so I may dive back into that or I may finally start Dragons Dogma 2 after having it on my shelf for over a month now 😅
Elden Ring for me. A bit late to the party and after trying it, not getting hooked and then trying it a second time, I am now well and truly into it! Busy exploring the Altus Plateau just now before moving onto the next area. Also will play some Gran Turismo 7 for some downtime.
Going to keep chipping away at GT7. Doing the WTC 900 this weekend in my detuned super formula car. Also, started Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order a couple days back and enjoying it so far. Not a Star Wars fan by ant means but heard the game was good so giving it a go
It's nice having new cars and some new tracks would be awesome but what I feel the game really needs is dozens more single player events. I remember the old games having single make championships, like the Yaris Cup for example, and things like that is what the game misses. Just my thoughts. If and when they get the Sophy AI implemented fully that would make a huge difference too
After 10 years away I am taking a trip into the Lands of Skyrim again. My old Nord warrior has come out of retirement to defeat the dragons and crush the Empire! On level 8 just now so only just begun but I am well and truly hooked once more.
The last Braking Point story was a fun novelty but for me the nuts and bolts of the game is the career and myteam modes. Sadly, much like Fifa, these modes seem to be of secondary importance. I'd love for myteam to be more in depth but I don't think I'll get my wish anytime soon.
Been really enjoying my F1 22 MyTeam playthrough recently so will maybe make some more progress with that but the main aim is to FINALLY play God of War Ragnarok. Been a long time coming for me, finishing off other games first but now the path is clear!
File size has never been a concern for me. I generally only ever have two games at most at a time that I'm playing and once I'm fully down with them I delete them and move on to the next thing
Combine ps plus and psNow, the ability to trial ALL games (very unlikely I know) before buying and all games in the library to be fully downloadable. A nice touch would be an xp type reward system, so, you earn xp for a trophy for example and than as you level up you unlock maybe new themes or cosmetic items to personalise your home screen etc. Or earn virtual currency to spend in the store on games or dlc. We all love that loop of earning xp and levelling up so why not add it to these platforms..
God of War. Second play through of this amazing game, this time on ps5. Started playing to kill some time and can’t put it down even though I’ve done it all before. I have Ghost of Tsushima Directors cut for ps5 but that can wait for now. Will probably dive into f1 2021 too to keep my career going. Too many games, not enough time…
@ILikeStake exactly my thoughts. I want to take my ***** Toyota Sprinter Trueno to Sunday Cup glory and slowly but surely turn it into something mediocre at best! GT is at its best when you're first starting out with the lower level cars I'd say
@Gremio108 I'm exactly the same, wish I had hung onto it. Played it to death when it first game out but get the urge now to just dive back into that open world and just wander about, taking in the sights
Once I get my grubby mits on a Ps5 I will prob end up buying this game in a sale. The story mode is a nice addition but what would make this a day1 purchase for me would be a more in depth/fleshed out myteam mode. I really enjoyed it on f1 2020 but would love it to go to the next level for detail and realism. I just hope it doesn't go the same way as Fifa now that EA have it...😬
Have to say I'm gutted about that, not surprised at all, I mean, why spend all that money to still allow you competitors to market the games. I'm really keen on the fallout and Elder Scrolls series but can't justify buying a 2nd console just for a couple games sadly. Oh well. Perhaps Sony can fill the void and develop similar games for Ps5...
For me it all depends on the game. The likes of Rdr2's world was huge but it gave me the sense of being in a wild, frontier land kind of place which I feel a small map wouldn't have been able to do it justice but then you get some games which just feel empty. I think on balance I'd prefer a small detailed world to a large empty one but I love huge open worlds as long as they are done well.
@The_Un1que yeah I got the same here. All the materials get added back to inventory which makes it not as bad as could be but still very annoying. Frustrating thing is that up until this update I hadn't had any issues whatsoever, apart from a few graphical bugs.
The easiest way to solve all this is just to make the digital game pricing more in line with the cost of physical games. I still think its outrageous that digital games can cost sometimes £15 more on release than physical copies. If they were better priced more people would buy them, simple.
I'm playing this on Ps4 Pro and have to say I'm enjoying a lot so far. There are a few minor bugs I've noticed but nothing that ruins it for me, not yet anyway. As for the microtransactions, that doesn't bother me at all. It's all cosmetic items that I don't want or need so I'm happy just ignoring them
I'd like one, especially with being off work just now it would be great to get to grips with it but it ain't gonna happen. I can wait until they are readily available, whenever that'll be because I'm not spending my days competing with scalper bits trying to get it online just now.
It still absolutely baffles me that they released this game when they did. They surely would have known that it wasn't ready. I get that they had pushed it back several times and didn't want to do it again but that must have been better than all this bad PR since launch. Also, I'm not technically adept when it comes to games so I don't understand how it can work fine on some for some folk but not others, on the same systems. Can anybody help explain?
Finished this game yesterday, good game. Nothing groundbreaking but a fun experience. On a side note, I wish more demos for games were available, for sure I'd end up buying more games!
For a long time I've toyed with getting a Yakuza game but never made the jump. Now, with this deal and with lockdown being extended again, Yakuza 0 has bene bought! Thanks PushSquare for the heads up!
I'm amazed that they released this game when they did. I know there must have been pressures to do so to capture the Christmas Market but they would have been fully aware of the issues the game had but they released it anyway. Everything they have been saying post launch is not a case of hindsight, to me it just smacks of 'we thought we'd get away with this' but turns out folk aren't happy with a broken game. It's a shame but they really only have themselves to blame. I was looking forward to playing this over the holidays but gonna wait now until I have a Ps5 to get it. Poor show CDPR
Super excited for this game but I think I'm going to try wait until I have a Ps5 and until the ps5 update is released. Having said that, 2 weeks off at Christmas will quite possibly result in me buying it for my Ps4 😂
Hoping to get some time to play more Prey on PsNow. Started it last weekend but not had ample opportunity to play this week yet! Really enjoyed it so far though
If Elder Scrolls 6 is xbox exclusive I'll be gutted as I can't see myself buying one just for one game. Would love to play Zelda but again can't justify buying a different console just for 1 game. Ah well, I'm sure they'll be plenty games on ps5 to keep my interest
I honestly think it looks awful, over designed. Won't stop me buying one of course because it doesn't really matter to me what it looks like. Does make me wonder what's wrong with just designing a simple black box like the Ps4.
F1 2020 Myteam mode for me. Been an F1 fan for 20 years but this is the first game I've bought in a good few years. Hooked. Slowly building my team up to challenge the front runners!
I kinda gave up with Ubisoft open world games a few years ago, just seemed all the same. Dived into Far Cry 5 this year after a psstore sale but my interest didn't hold, still just seemed the same old game. I doubt this'll be any different for me unfortunately
Every generation the price of games go up, or at least that's what it seems to me. They probably will come down in price once more people have the new consoles, after a 6 months or a year perhaps. The one that gets me is why digital games routinely cost £10 more new than physical ones, but that's a different issue
I have to say I'm about sceptical about the how much of a game changer the haptic feedback will be. Perhaps it's my limited imagination but I just can't see how it's going to make the gaming experience that much better. Having said that, I would gladly eat many slices of humble pie if I am proved wrong!
Would be interesting to see the actual figures of games sold because after nearly 7 years I'd have thought everyone who wants it would have it by now! I played it on both ps3 and ps4 and enjoyed it each time but I never got into the online part of it, not my thing really.
