Re: May Madness Sale Brings Big Discounts to PS4 in Europe

Hego

@WanderingBullet Yup, thats Ireland :/ Think we have a high tax rate on games which drives up the prices, many brand new games go for €75 here. Also I live in the countryside so there's not many retailers for games either, just Argos and Gamestop.

Re: May Madness Sale Brings Big Discounts to PS4 in Europe

Hego

@TripleGK Nope! couldn't believe it when I saw it today I have a plan though, I'll get the digital version plus the season pass which is on offer in the sale then use the physical copy I've ordered as a trade-in with a copy of Bloodborne to get Uncharted for €10, that way Uncharted will only cost me €42 rather than the €70 it costs brand new here everybody's happy! (By everybody I mean me actually!)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 117

Hego

I'll be playing more Dark Souls III, I'm to Lothric Castle so I feel like I'm nearing the end. I'll also be playing some AC: Black Flag which I'm enjoying (although the gameplay just as awful as every other AC game!) and maybe some Smite and Trials Fusion.
@Kyroki Happy Birthday lad! Your finally out of the teens (though your still cursing like one

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 116

Hego

@Illusionistt Just so you know, there's two Trails games available on Vita from the PSP store section, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Trails in the Sky SC (Second Chapter). I'd highly recommend the first one of you like JRPG's, I've on;y played through the start of the second but it's looking great so far

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 116

Hego

After picking up several games in the latest sale, I'll be playing a selection of games including AC: Black Flag (finally took the plunge on this in the sale), Trials: Fusion, Dark Souls III, Smite, Borderlands The Handsome Collection and finally Trails in the Sky SC. Reading back over this, I'll be lucky to get to half those games in truth!

Re: Your Free PS4 PlayStation Plus Games Include Tropico 5, Table Top Racing

Hego

I'm delighted with this months offering, played a bit of Tropico 4 on laptop and it was great, and I've heard Tropico 5 is just as good so very happy to see that. Also I've seen some videos of Table Top Racing and it looks like a lot of fun, a bit like a Mario Kart for the ps4. And Ghost of Sparta was meant to be decent for psp so happy with that too. Good month all round I think!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 114

Hego

I'll be ploughing through the fabulous Dark Souls 3 which surely must be a GOTY contender, just beat the Old Demon King at Smouldering Lake so going to finish exploring the maze under the lake before moving onto the gorgeous Boreal Valley and taking the obligatory screenshots. Also might get start This War of Mine which I got in the sale, and the usual few rounds of SMITE with the push square lads

Re: Save Big This Spring with European PlayStation Store Sale

Hego

Bought This War of Mine: Little Ones and Shovel Knight, I've been eyeing these for a sale price for a long time. Was tempted by Digimon on Vita but think I'll hold off. Wasteland 2: Directors Cut on PS4 looks a steal at €15, heard it's a very good isometric rpg

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 113

Hego

@iDangerMouse_ Cant beat an old rally Escort mk II
It's Dark Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls for me as I make my way slowly through what I feel is gonna be a masterpiece, soaking up everything that makes these games great. I'll probably get some Smite in with the SMITE Squad from here and maybe a dash of Rocket League just to keep @Simon_Fitzgerald happy

Re: Soapbox: Subtleties of the Souls Series That Make It Special

Hego

Fantasic article, I love how your doing your best to draw people's attention to the elements which make the SoulsBorne games so special. It's a really sad reality that so many players (and arguably elements of games media) are blinded by the difficulty of the SoulsBorne games (which is already exaggerated I feel) and fail to notice the amazing design features which makes them so unique, the interlocking world design (best in the biz as far as I'm concerned), the gorgeous soundtracks, the wonderful sense of discovery these games foster, the both equally lovable and terrifying co-op system (which could be explained better in game I feel). These are special games as far as I'm concerned and the only games where I really wish more people would play and give a chance.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 112

Hego

@iDangerMouse_ Smite is Life brother!

Very tired (but thankfully not hungover) from a wedding yesterday so I'll be relaxing with some Smite with the PushSquare gang, some Driveclub and maybe some Battlefield 4 campaign which I decided to play through as I still haven't done yet!

Re: BioShock: The Collection Is Now PS4's Worst Kept Secret

Hego

Has 2K fired their media and advertising team? Seriously, first X-Com launches on Vita under the cover of night, then Civ Rev 2 releases without a word, now there haven't said a word about this collection despite numerous leaks. What is going on over there?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 111

Hego

I'm away from home this weekend so it's all Vita gaming for me. I'll be playing more Trails in the Sky with possible some FEZ and Stealth Inc. thrown in just to mix things up. Might also play some Football Manager 2014 on my laptop too (haven't bothered picking up the latest releases).
Kinda sad I won't be able to join the Super SMITE Squad this weekend, who else is gonna "secure" all those kills We've assembled a pretty good team too!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Easter Edition 4

Hego

@ApostateMage That sounds like quite literally an "epic" play through
I'll be playing through Driveclub having picked it up in the Easter sale and also Salt and Sanctuary might dip back into Bloodbourne to go for the platform, I'm only 1 trophy away but its the Queen Yarnham one might also get some Broforce in with some fellow push squarers

Re: This Dark Souls III PS4 Trailer Won't Make the Wait Any Easier

Hego

@kyleforrester87 Many people would argue that DS2 wasn't a proper souls game, it was lacking the certain magic that Miyazaki (the creator of DS1 and Bloodborne) brings when he's designing a game. He wasn't directly involved in DS2 like he was in DS and BB. So basically because he's directly involved in this, it's likely to be a lot better than DS2, plus with some of the new mechanics in the game it's supposedly possible to play a la Bloodborne if you wished

Re: This Dark Souls III PS4 Trailer Won't Make the Wait Any Easier

Hego

@WanderingBullet Basically there's a mechanic in the game where you can summon help in the form of another players (up to 2), they will stay in your game until either you defeat a boss (they will then get kicked out of your game, but you can simply move to the next area to summon again) or they are killed. Think for Dark Souls you need to be human (as opposed to undead) to summon

Re: This Dark Souls III PS4 Trailer Won't Make the Wait Any Easier

Hego

@MDHegs @WanderingBullet Have ye tried co-opting through the game? Like summoning help at the start of areas rather than only at bosses? You should regularly find someone who knows what they're doing and will help you through the area along with guiding you to secrets and loot. Plenty of people play the game like that
