Yet another mediocre awards show, with some awards given out for something or other, now passes into the blissful ignorance of memory. I can't wait for the next one.
@Wazeddie22 Hi Eddie, for me, it's non-existent. However, I've never suffered with VR motion sickness. I blame it on all the 'loop the loops' which I did in combat flight sims, during the 90's
Thanks for the review. Last night I bought Rush VR, is there a review of that (apologies if there is, and I've missed it)? I'd like to read what you think about it. Personally, I quite enjoyed it, I even managed to win a multiplayer race, as you can see here... https://old.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/a2w5me/woot_my_1st_rush_multiplayer_win/
@IBeAGamer Your ability to post personal attacks, on a discussion board, certainly highlights your mature, intellectual, debating skills and general intelligence. Can you provide more examples?
I'm totally surprised! Who would think that Japanese games would do this. What's next, school girls in short skirts or Bikini's? Nah, Japanese games would never do that, as they could be viewed as having sub-paedophilliac tendecies.
@Nesstark88 They play it for the cheesy story? I've played every AC game, and I couldn't tell you what the story was about, in any of them. This is because I usually treat the story, with the contempt that AC stories deserve, whilst desperately hammering away, searching for a 'Skip' button. This isn't a personal attack, just my own opinion.
@Flopsy Lol mate, that brought a smile to my face, so thanks for that . Compared to the yearly recycled crap, which is CoD, that book sounds really interesting.
Thanks for the review. In all fairness to Sanctanox above, other reviews, which I've read/watched, imply that the core gameplay, is essentially, a glorified wave shooter, similar to Blasters of the Universe, but with a bit more mobility thrown in. Whatever it is, it doesn't appear to be a game for me.
However, the latest from the Dev's, is that this has now been cut to only 3 hours. Consequently, I'll now pick it up, when I see it on sale for a tenner.
The Bungie of today, isn't the Bungie of yesteryear, especially since most of the original talent left Bungie. I was a loyal Bungie fan on the Xbox for years, these days, I couldn't give two fecks if the studio was disolved. For me, they represent all that is wrong with modern gaming. If they did go bust, then at least that would make room for other developers, with fresh ideas, that treat their customers with respect and don't try to rip them off, at every opportunity.
@RadoGoji That's exactly my line of thought, also. These days, I'd sooner wait for a GOTY edition, which contains the five patches, since the original release date... and also, it usually costs less.
It's probably Bungie's new range of loot boxes; The premium priced 'Matter' collection, which gives you a 0.001% chance of obtaining a rainbow coloured gun. Meanwhile, in other industry related news, there's a rumour that some developers still make proper games.
In the PSVR 'doing something new' vs 'traditional gaming' debate, I'm in the latter camp. I usually view the 'doing something new', as more of a gimmicky experience, which can be entertaing for a couple of hours. I also fear that these types of games, set a bad precedent for future PSVR developments. As for the 'traditional gaming' side, I think that I've played DiRT Rally VR, more than any other PSVR title, followed by Skyrim VR.
Thanks for the review. The number one thing that bothers me about this game, is the screen tearing. On the pro, whether I set the in-game video option to performance or quality, I get horrible screen tearing, which (in my opinion) undoes all the good work achieved in the graphics department. I'd sooner play the game at 720p if it meant that I could play with v-sync enabled. However, I suspect that even a drop in resolution wouldn't solve this title's frame rate issues.
Despite the above, I have an in-game, closed Cabal, with twenty members, and I enjoy the limited coop play that the game offers.
@BlueW1zard
All this talk about 'personal views' and actual objective gameplay reviews, reminds me of the complaints, which I made against PushSquare's review of Warhammer 40,000: Space Hulk, here... https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/space_hulk_deathwing
and here... https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/mxgp_pro
Don't worry about it, they have form and are repeat offenders. Only the loss of advertisement (if they carry on, in this manner), will prompt them to change their ways.
@magiphone Change the record, this has already been covered. It's not my fault if you can't appreciate or understand other people's views. Being like that, is what I'd call strange.
@kyleforrester87 That's a good stance to have. Please don't view my own feelings on this matter, as some kind of condemnation towards people who don't mind or even support MT's in games. I don't disrespect people, just because they don't share my own views. That was never my intention.
@kyleforrester87 Under that scenario, with just one microtransaction, I think that I may have swallowed my principles. I don't really know and I'm just trying to be honest with you, as I'm not a saint. On the other hand, I bought Shadow of war, but didn't play it until this month, when they patched out the microtransactions. For ages it just sat there unplayed because of MT's.
@Scollurio I could ignore them, but my stance on this matter isn't driven entirely by how MT's affect me on a personal level. It's more to do, with how it affects the rich and poor out there. I just think that its unfair that somebody with no money has to grind for something, whilst others with money can simply buy there way ahead. I just don't like the premise or principle of it. Therefore, I feel more comfortable, by making a stand against the practice. I realise that by doing this it will have no impact, but at least it makes me feel better, knowing that I've backed up my thoughts with some kind of action.
@kyleforrester87 I thought that the game was ok. Although I prefer hardore simulations, I'm not a sim snob, and will enjoy most types of racing games. It's not really my fault, if YOU perceived my post as some 'heroic sacrifice'. I deleted it, (as I previously mentioned), because I don't like to support games that feature microtransactions. That's it. There's no underlying sinister motive, just that.
@kyleforrester87 What's weird about it? I don't like to support games that feature microtransactions, and as I consider GT Sport to be more arcade than simulation, it was no great loss.
@steventonysmith I don't think that HDD space would affect frame rate, although in Windows O/S platforms and their virtual RAM, swap file systems, it can be a contributing factor. Without investigating how the PS O/S handles data, I must admit that I'm only taking an educated guess.
I reinstalled it, but prior, had read several reports of poor frame rates since the update. For the 15 mins, in which I re-tried it, I also noticed a few glitches, like micro-pauses and the odd slow down. It's now currently uninstalled again.
I bought this in the sale, a few weeks ago, and I've hardly touched it. The reason for not playing it, was because of the dreadful 'dude bro' vibe to it. Although I was able to turn the music off, unfortunately, I can't do the same with the voice-overs. The game makes me cringe when I listen to it.
I won't be buying it. I think the last two platform games which I played were Manic Miner on the ZX Spectrum and Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive. I was bored with their simplicity and the fact that they didn't feature enough Rainbows and Unicorns. It has left me with a long standing amount of negativity towards the genre.
I've previously played it and the slow downs when making things go boom (and there's a lot of things that can go boom, in the game), was one of the things that used to irk me about it (the other was screen tear). After reading your review, and in-particular, your summary, I'm very tempted to double dip on this.
@AlexStinton
I never mentioned that I don't respect you. Of course I respect your opinion, for me that was never at question, nor an issue. As for my age, going by your picture, I'll add 15-20 years on top of your age. My first computer was a Sinclair ZX80

Re: Sony Flaunts PSVR's Enormous Library in Montage Trailer
@hotukdeals Agreed. Plenty of (game) buyers remorse around, spurred on and influenced by curiosity of the experience. Beware.

@kyleforrester87 ^ Agreed.

Re: Review: Onrush (PS4)
@Flaming_Kaiser Thanks Kaiser. Guess who bought it for 30 quid, when it was on sale, and then played it for 30 mins?
Re: RIDE 3 - High-Octane Motorcycle Realism
@TheIronChimp Thanks Chimp, I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Re: RIDE 3 - High-Octane Motorcycle Realism
As it's not mentioned in the review, I'll ask; Does it run at 60fps (important for sim based titles) or 30fps?
Re: Will Sony Censor Catherine: Full Body? Developer Can't Give a Definitive Answer

Give evidence that I'm not a fanboy? Unfortunately, I'm unable to do that, as I consider myself to be a PC, Sony, Xbox fanboi.

Re: Black Friday 2018: Pre-Order This UK PSVR Bundle with Astro Bot and Ace Combat 7 for a Great Price
Ace Combat 7 is kinda like GT Sport when it comes to PSVR, i.e. There really isn't enough of it, to claim it as a VR title, especially when the AC7 dev's originally promised 15hrs of VR play
http://vrthegamers.com/hands-ace-combat-psvr-exclusive-promises-around-15-hours-gameplay-release-2018/#.W7SpJz_TVhH
Now they've announced that this has been cut back to a paltry 3hrs.

Only 11 months and 3 weeks until the next CoD is released. Can't wait to read the review for that one.

Thanks for the heads-up, regarding the update and sale. I may, now, be tempted to buy it.

@SakuraHaruka When you mention arcade, do you mean Sega Rally Revo or more mid Gravel? To be honest, I would mind more of the former.
Re: Review: Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr (PS4)
