Do you actually enjoy standing up while gaming? I have wanted to invest into VR for years, but my gaming habits and amount of free time lead me to believe that I won't get much out of such device.

@bozz I am not saying that writing targeted at adults is automatically good, but I can't enjoy any other kind. Try The Witcher 1-3, Mass Effect 1-3, Metal Gear Solid 1-5, Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, Deus Ex HR-MD, strategy games like HOI4(not much writing, but kids don't care about war logistics).

@dschons I was honestly expecting to be ignored, but I am bored right now so I will respond to the people that want to discuss gaming with me!

@Northern_munkey the writing and tone of Deus Ex are much better than Cyberpunk, imo. I don't think that the game has aged poorly too. Great level design and music. Cyberpunk just left me deflated and bored. Especially the side gigs. I am not being antagonistic at all.

@Sirlloydsteak I can enjoy stuff, just not Persona and HP.

@dschons Yeah, the moderators of PS really don't allow much discussion because it usually leads to at least one participant getting agitated, but I've learned how to behave. As you can see I am being very unaggressive. On reddit I still throw 'friendly jabs' at people. It's fun.

@Northern_munkey How so? I personally prefer the writing of Deus Ex over Cyberpunk. In fact I didn't enjoy the story or world of that game to the point that I believe they fell victim to the bad dev cycle just like the gameplay. Witcher 3 has a much better story, imo.

@MaccaMUFC Breath Of The Wild is a game that doesn't get bogged down with writing targeted at children even tough it has cartoony visuals.

@Deadhunter I have all the imagination in the world. I would love to make an RPG someday inspired by the original Deus Ex. I will probably not play COD unless Microsoft adds the short campaigns to gamepass. Not into mp.

@bozz The original Deus Ex from 2000. If you have never played on PC it will be a shock to the system, but the experience will stay with you forever.

@willi3su Weirdo is a strong word. I do tend to lean into more 'mature' writing because I find it very easy to immerse myself in the universe.

@TraCuz- I played ~10 hours of P4 on my PC earlier this year. Not a game for 20 year olds as far as I am concerned.

@Peterchu Persona. Definitely not for 20 year olds imo.

The problem is usually not the gameplay, but the story. If the game has a lot of cutscenes/dialogue and it's mostly about them being late for school or trying to find a job to buy a bike or whatever I completely zone out.

@Tigerhoodman You should leave them on because you don't want to stumble into an encounter, defeat a few enemies and not get the special loot there because you didn't know it was a '?' spot.

@DiabloSSJ Witcher 1 will receive an open world remake that's still early in development.

Witcher 2 is still playable, but I wouldn't complain about a remake instead of a remaster.

Witcher 4 will come out in about a decade and there is a spinoff in the works as well.

TLDR: you might have children by the time you play another Witcher game.

The gameplay and quest structure weren't perfect in 2015 and they are even less enjoyable now, but what this franchise has over most others is the writing of a talented author. Just like LOTR and GOT the Witcher tells a much more interesting tale than your Assassin's Creeds, Horizons, Red Dead, God Of War etc.

Weird trailer. To excite PC players you need to show 21:9, 120hz+, dualsense gameplay etc. They buy games to see how well they can run them lol.

@NoFaceBigFoot Why? Where is your proof? HFW is not on a subscription service and it does nothing well besides how shiny the grass looks.

Starfield will be played and modded for over a decade unless they somehow ***** it up completely and through GP it will reach more players than even Skyrim throughout it's lifetime. You won't even need a console or expensive PC because of xcloud.

I think that they actually got humbled by the reviews they got.

It's so sad to see no mention of Starfield in the 'upcoming' games section. Maybe Microsoft should bribe Jim by offering him Bethesda games and mods instead of COD?

This will be the first game to use direct storage on PC. May it lead to more SSD optimizations for all 3 major platforms in the future.
