@ShogunRok The fact that they are in Yokohama makes me want to play it more. lol I really liked that setting. For some reason I found it a lot easier to remeber and navigate than kamarocho. I'm always looking at the map when I am in Kamarocho
Rec for anyone interested is The Flame in The Flood a great wee rouge-like survival where you travel down a river stopping off at various places to scavenge stuff to survive. You have a dog companion. Still trying to plat it. Surprisingly difficult.
@GamingVeteran I hate that the site is doing this post every week. It means that there are enough people that click on it to drive traffic. That's depressing. And tells you that people are never gonna stop playing this game. But hey, if they enjoy it more power to them. I'm not that interested in a GTA 6 anyway
I know people have issues saying that Sony is leaving it's Japanese roots and everything is becoming samey but srsly, I used to love the Big In Japan sale and I look at this and there's nothing but poor anime spin offs and visual novels and the odd generic rpg. This sale is embarrassing. Honestly I see why Sony are moving away from Japanese developers if this is the best of what they come up with.
I was kind of panicking thinking I wouldn't have time to play the first game before this came out but now I can just take my time and get it at a cheaper price too! Win for me.
I know it's a real minority opinion but I am so sick of Marvel in the gaming space. It dominates everything and quite frankly, it's NEVER good. (With perhaps the exception of Spiderman) I am just really getting burned out on this franchise being in all the entertainment spaces ever.
@GADG3Tx87 I thought I had come to terms with the look of it and by the time I got it, I was quietly looking forward to having my 'chunky boi' but I HATE it in horizontal orentation and had to change it to vertical, so now it stands on a tile on the carpet on the floor next to media center and as much as I hate that I like it better than it horizontal. Srsly, when a slim is released it's getting bought.
@nessisonett @KingPev I'm the opposite. I have tried countless times to get into EU4 and just can't. I think I prefer the RP elements in Crusader Kings.
I love this game franchise so much. I have over a thousand hours logged on CK2 on Steam. I would play this on console as long as they had mouse/keyboard support cause I cannot imagine how you would manage the sheer amount of menus otherwise. I'd love to plat this on PS5. I never thought I would get a CK plat. lol
@thefourfoldroot I had the same problem with another game I can't recall now but the text just doesn't scale properly and it stays super tiny. Unless they give you an option to change the menu resolutions I don't know how feasibile it is. The game is 90% menus. lolol
@Golem25 lol the disco minigame is a struggle to be sure. I just hate being forced to play something over and over. Play it once uyes . I mean, I love Richii Mahjong, it's the only way to play but I still haven't mastered Shogi. I just don't want to learn how to play Japanese Chess. LOL And I hate being made to play old arcade games. Yes, some people may want to play them but to tie them to a completion list is annoying to me.
@Golem25 You know the thing that stops me from plating all the Yakuza games is the completion list grind. It's sooo long. The climax battles and the Legend playthrough are actually fun but playing hours of Mahjong or having to watch every dirty video lol is really time consuming and boring.
I mean, it would be good of it actually works. I still get ads/recs for COD and FIFA although I have never bought an FPS or football game in my life... lol.
I wouldn't mind if it actually reflected what I have bought and played.
@thefourfoldroot @nessisonett “Omega Labyrinth Life is a Rogue-like RPG where female characters brave dungeons. This game contains partial nudity, sexual themes, harsh language, and content that may not be suitable for all ages. Although it does not contain any graphic sexual content, it does have a mode where characters can be touched and as such may not be appropriate for the workplace. All characters in the game are over the age of 18.”
Srsly dude, this just sounds gross. I have no issue with sexual and explicit content when it serves the story or the themes being explored but this kind of game is for those who just want to watch anime tiddies bounce and has always been the biggest issue I have with Japanese culture. I love me Japan and I would love to visit it someday. I think it does a lot of things right but the way it treats/portays females in media and in actual rl is gross. The objectification and sexualization of 'young women' in Japan is just so...eughh.
Hades, just finishing up my last few story related trophies for the plat. It is annoying to have to wait on the RNG to progress story. My one gripe with an otherwise stellar game.
@PossibLeigh Though, as someone else suggested, whilst there is no real news out there, it would be great to see articles / interviews about / with smaller game studios on PuSq. I've no idea how easy or otherwise such things would be to do though.
I'd legit love something like that on the site. I'm pretty sure plenty of indy studios would love it. Maybe every couple of months.
Defo double dipping on this. Can't wait to play it at 60fps and I don't normally care about that sort of thing. The switch version is great but once you've done a good number of runs, loading takes longer and it doe stutter a bit. Oly my second actual PS5 title bought!
Also the voice acting is god tier and Thesus is a dick.
@Jayslow Have to agree. I started it this weekend and I am LOVING it. Been thoroughly enchanted by the game and characters. I love how insane and goofy but true to Yakuza at the same time.
I said I was gonna wait but man, I love this game so much and this looks LUSH! Might be a day one purchase...... (On a side note: what's the beef with horses in this game??)
@Logonogo Not really no. My comment was more about all the 'free to play' news lately. That's all. I'm not a fan of the monetization model in those types of games.
It's so depressing that every other article latley has been about 'free to play'...Looks like I will get through my backlog one day as there won't be any games to buy and just play.
@Roqka I enjoyed it. Fun traversal. Puzzles aren't too hard. I found it super chill and fun time. It's not mindblowing but it is entertaining in that indy kind of way.

Doing that endgame grind for Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It's not taking as long s I thought. Should be finished it sometime this weekend.
Then possibly onto Bloodborne maybe. Not decided yet.

Hey if you want to spend your days jerkin' it to scantily clad anime girls go on. Otaku gonna otaku right?
Re: Sony Investing in External Japanese Development Group
@thefourfoldroot
that's because the only thing selling in the Asian/Eastern market are mobile and handheld games.
We already get enough rubbish mobile ports and crappy anime tiddy switch games from other Japanese developers. I don't want any more from Playstation.

@Judal27 LOL, I did that too, and then I kind of fell off the game. Need to get back to it.
