I finished it with 140 hours spent, and I plan on playing it again taking a different character style when Sony can actually make and sell some more PS5s. The lack of those machines is much more disappointing than a few glitches in an otherwise great game.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla should fill a couple of months when I eventually buy it, then there's the PS Plus games, the only one I have spent real time on so far was NFS Payback, I aim to get back into Elite Dangerous at some point...a few delays won't hurt, 2020 was spent expanding my horizons with games I wouldn't normally have bothered with, 2021 will continue like that. I'd be very happy if they build a few more PS5s.
Cyberpunk, had one crash so far, at the end of a five hour session, so I probably needed to get food anyway. This is on a PS4, it works fine, bit slow in places, the only irritating things are a long load times for cut scenes, which then go on too long. The actual gameplay, when you eventually get to it, is quite entertaining. I'll play it now and after the patches 🙂
I'm still just waiting for Cyberpunk. I'm not waiting for another Unchartered game. I want to play games, yes immersive games, but I don't want to watch books.
I pre-ordered Cyberpunk. It'll be 100% new, and that new content won't involve having to go online and do some "social" gaming just to gain access to it.
Maybe Vampyr... it's one of those tough "start a new game" weekends, or I go back to Division 2, which feels like a drag after 3 weeks of silliness with Need for Speed Payback
I bought a Toshiba LED tv back around 2007 or 2008, it still works perfectly, so I can't think of a reason why i would want to upgrade to a 4K tv, especially as the images are usually too sharp, like watching video over a movie filmed on actual film, not digital. So, as my tv is also my gaming monitor, there'll be no upgrade until it breaks, or the sockets become obselete.
Need for Speed Payback, thanks to PS Plus, and maybe some Division 2, but it's difficult to get into, so Vampyr is the back up. It's the first month I have been bothered to get both PS Plus free games.
There's 4 games on that list that I never bought, but will play, so it's another big yes for me. Sony has judged this launched perfectly from my perspective.
I was going to say COD Modern Warfare Remastered, but I did the campaign in 4 short evening sessions. I'm glad it was a freebie. Maybe I'll try GTA online again, now I have some millions to spend.
Meh, Uncharted was good until the cinematic pieces got too long and the narrative annoying - the start and ending of Uncharted 4 are cringe worthy. I prefer games to be wanton escapism, the satire in the GTA games is amusing, Naughty Boy have disappeared up their own rear ends with their "on message" kitchen sink dramas.
I'm not a techhie, that's why i like consoles, I plug in and play, so if this saves me wasting time trying to find which external hard drives are compatible for my PS, then it's a good thing. The size of games on the PS4 ate up the supplied memory very quickly. From Sony's point of view it makes sense, because it can be another revenue earner, which will be good for the chances of seeing a PS6 in 10 years time. Not so good news for the likes of Seagate. Not everyone has the luxury of stable broadband for streaming to reduce memory needs.
None of these grab me. This time last year we had RDR2 and Ass Creed Odyssey, both of which kept me busy till June. I'll have to keep grinding away with Elite Dangerous until something tempting comes along, like GTA6 on the PS5.
I had the N64, and watched with jealousy as the Playstation owners got more adult orientated games, whilst all I could say was that the N64 graphics were better. I got the PS2, with the DVD, then the PS3, with the blue ray, 3d, wireless internet connection, built in Netflix and You Tube, I got the PS4, its had all the PS3 innovations, just a bit faster, I suspect the PS5 will be the same, and I'll still buy it...because they will deliver a new GTA game, a new GT game, Assassins Creed games, plus some surprises. The PS3 was the best in terms of a technology leap to a true, complete home entertainment system, mine is still plugged in, next to the PS4, and used for dvds, and old games. I wouldn't even consider moving to Xbox.
I find with PS4 racers, generally, that the controls using the left stick instead of buttons to steer, and the shoulder buttons to brake and accelerate are just too awkward to control over the d pad and x o buttons option for PS3 racing games. Sticks make sense for bike games to simulate body movement, but add nothing to car games, apart from more sore thumbs.
At 67% in single player after 2 1/2 mths, still enjoying it, the pace is relaxing, and there's still much to do. I can't imagine wanting to do any posse or group activities online, hopefully by the time I finish single player, Rockstar will have made the online world more interesting, with less pointing us towards player co-op, so I can continue to explore and interact with AI characters. Gaming is supposed to be an escape from idiots in the real world.
External hard drive purchased, and is waiting for the game to arrive. I am assuming it won't be the last game I buy, and I might want to revisit my old games.
I just started playing this yesterday, loved the first 3 games, but the first two or three hours of Uncharted 4 have been painful, too many breaks for long storyline movies stopping the action, and one or two of those being very mundane. I hope the game does get better as all the hype suggests. It's no GTA V so far.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 364
Cyberpunk, finally moving forward with the main story.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 363
Cyberpunk, 120 hours in so far, I might have to stop the side missions and move the main story on soon.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 362
Still playing Cyberpunk
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 361
Cyberpunk, about 80 hours in, and I have barely scratched the surface. Only 3 crashes, can't remember when the last one was.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 360
Cyberpunk.....it seems a little smoother, especially driving...but I was enjoying it anyway, so the patch is a bonus

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 357
Finished Ghost of Tsushima yesterday, so today might be the day I dip my toe into Cyberpunk on the PS4
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 355
Ghost of Tsushima, although it does feel like a grind.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 354
Ghost of Tsushima arrived just before Cyberpunk, so I'm slicing my way through Japan. I think Cyberpunk will have to wait a few weeks
Re: Neil Druckmann to Continue Writing and Directing at Naughty Dog as Co-President
I'm still just waiting for Cyberpunk. I'm not waiting for another Unchartered game. I want to play games, yes immersive games, but I don't want to watch books.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 353
Waiting for Cyberpunk, might try Just Cause 4 as it was free
Re: PS3 Gets a Surprise Firmware Update, Available to Download Now
Used mine last night to watch a dvd while the PS4 was downloading Just Cause 4
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 352
GT Sport. Cyberpunk and Ghost of Tsushima are on physical order, the only "new" games to tempt me this year.
Re: GTA Online Adds an Entire Island in Biggest Heist Update Yet
I pre-ordered Cyberpunk. It'll be 100% new, and that new content won't involve having to go online and do some "social" gaming just to gain access to it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 349
GT Sport for me, haven't played it for 3 years, and it seems they were busy improving the solo game in that time

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 347
At lvl50 on Need For Speed Payback, will be trying to advance the story
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 346
Need for Speed Payback, with its cheesy story, and '70s road movie style radio narrator, good game
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 345
Need for Speed Payback, thanks to PS Plus, and maybe some Division 2, but it's difficult to get into, so Vampyr is the back up. It's the first month I have been bothered to get both PS Plus free games.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 343
I'll be starting Borderlands 2 today, with The Division 2 as a contingency if Borderlands doesn't grip me.

Re: PS5 Price, Release Date Confirmed: 12th November in US, 19th in EU, $499 Standard, $399 Digital
That is going to be the first day one console purchase for me, with the disc drive
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 340
A bit more Ghost Recon Wildlands
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 339
Ghost Recon Wildlands, tearing through Bolivia.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 338
Ghost Recon Wildlands
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 337
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, and possibly World of Warships, which is massively addictive

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 334
Far Cry 5, cleared the South, heading North today.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 333
Far Cry 5. I'm late to Far Cry games, but they are excellent.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 332
Far Cry 5....just finished 4, which was great fun, 6 hours in and 5 seems just as good.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Trailer Goes Full Grand Theft Auto
That's more like it. I think that will be bought with a PS5.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 329
Far Cry 4, frivolous escapism from a world gone mad.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 328
Far Cry 4, hunting Yaks with charging Elephants.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 327
Just two more trophies to get in AC Unity, might also have a go at Far Cry 4
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 326
Assassin's Creed Unity...I'm at 95% completion, it's a great game
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 324
Finishing Assassin's Creed Unity, which has been a fun game. I needed a break from the 4 month grind that was The Witcher.

Elite Dangerous is massive, and endless, plus it's 1984 nostalgia brought right up to date...even with the frustrating, buggy updates, it's great.
