I got TLOU 2, Outer Worlds, and Mafia Definitive Edition all on the cheap, renewed PS Essential at 25% off, and then splashed out on Mount and Blade, so unless there's some huge bargains, I'm good till 2023, hopefully:)
Just finished God of War, so I think I'll look at the black Friday bargains, maybe get The Last of Us II if it's under a tenner. Will probably play some GT7 if I am downloading something new
The 2018 God of War this weekend, on the easiest setting as dragons and suchlike are not really my thing, but I had a bad case of FOMO, especially as it's free in the PS Collection. I am having reasonable fun with it, not enough to turn the difficulty setting up though
I'm giving God of War a second chance. It seems I didn't make it past the prologue on my first attempt. Difficulty is turned right down, at least until I start to get it.
I'm late to the party, but I am finally playing The Last of Us, the remastered version from the PS5 collection. It's very Naughty Dog, Uncharted with zombies, but is keeping me interested so far.
I'll dip into GT7, and complete whatever is in the new update, then it will be Hitman 2, although it's not really grabbed my attention yet and I'm starting the 3rd mission.
I had a fun couple of weeks on Sniper Elite 2, so I might have a crack at Hitman 2, which has been sitting waiting since appearing in PS Plus a year ago.
I'm fully back into GT7, grinding away in Sardegna with the McLaren F1 car, always aiming to beat the 26minute mark, it's actually an enjoyable little challenge
I may try a little more Yakuza Like a Dragon, I did a few hours last week, and it felt like one long cutscene, with the occasional walk for a few blocks to get to another cutscene. I must be doing something wrong 😀 Anyway, I still have the FIFA22 addiction to fall back on.
I think I started playing FIFA22 in April, and I haven't stopped yet. I am not even sure there is anything on the horizon to tempt me to stop, and I don't know why I keep playing it. Maybe tomorrow I'll try something different
I am ashamed to say it will still be FIFA22 for me. It's been 2 months now, playing the manager mode, It's massively repetitive, and the matches are arcady fun, but I don't know why I'm still playing it.
FIFA 22 still, just about to finish my third season of winning everything, maybe I'll raise the difficulty level if I do a fourth season It's a game that is mindless fun
Still on GT7, will try to get gold on the Maggiore hour race, and do a bit of grinding....the Tomahawk got fun with the last update introducing intermediate tyres, it's faster with more jeopardy at the same time, fingers crossed Polyphony leave it as it is now
Pushing on with GT7, it might be the last week of the Tomahawk tuning glitch...besides grinding that, i'll be trying to beat the last two human comedy missions
GT7, will do circuit experiences, maybe one or two marathon races, the rewards have got better, but more world circuit races are needed for when you run out of mission and circuit experience one-offs.... there's still plenty for me to finish though, last weekend I spent hours tuning to win the Daytona Gr3 race
GT7, I'll be grinding the Trial Mountain Cup in my Tomahawk, with some Pan American Championship thrown in , and maybe the odd 4 chilli event, I can't remember if I have any left to win.
GT7, although I've finished the Cafe, done my licenses and only have a few missions to go, I won't be doing online racing, it's not my thing, so after all that there's not really many races left to tackle....I'll be looking forward the improvements they say are coming, but it definitely feels lacking compared to older GT games, maybe I'll dig out 5 and 6.
Picked up Ace Combat 7 from the PS store for £7, finished Lost Legacy last week, started AC7, so maybe I'll play some more but it is suddenly not as escapist as I would like, considering what is happening in the real world...so maybe it will be more relaxing 2K21 Golf for me
Uncharted Lost Legacy, it is so much better than 4, which, despite the normally winning inclusion of a pirate story, is ruined by the domestic drama. I did finish 4 again though, to get full value for my tenner.
PGA 2K21, the maybe jump in on the £10 Uncharted bargain that downloaded last night. Also got the first Dying Light ready to go, to see why it got itself a sequel
PGA Tour 2K21....This week, I need something relaxing that doesn't require much thinking or effort, and with the difficulty turned all the way down, this seems to to do the trick.
More Saints Row the Third, YouTube got me through the trafficking glitch which crashed the game every time you go for a car ride....it does mean I bought every property and 80% of the in game upgrades while playing around the glitch until I could go no further. Now I'm virtually invincible, and 23% complete, it should be breeze to complete
Saints Row the Third got my attention on boxing Day, and although I'm also 20 hours in to Watch Dogs Legion, Saints Row is a blast, so I'll be parking my tank on a crossroads blowing up wave after wave of gangs and cops, occasionally doing a story mission.
If I play anything it will be Watch Dogs Legion, where the stealth method of controlling events while hovering on a construction drone is proving to be quite fun or maybe Saints Row The Third, after being told it's much better than IV. I'll probably stick to food, wine and the new Bond movie though 😀
I'll be playing Watchdogs Legion, it's a banker, I know what I'm getting with it. I put about two hours into Detroit Become Human, but housekeeping and taking old men to the bathroom aren't really the type of escapism I look for in games. Maybe it would have got better, but the whole intro to the game was mind numbingly awful.
I'm finally next gen, and got Infamous Second Son, Detroit: Become Human from PS Plus and a PS5 upgrade of Watchdogs Legion, I've been sitting on Legion until I got my hands on the new box, that's the banker if the other two suck.
Escapism to other world's or countrie and the occasional soundtrack surprise. I would never have discovered Nonagon Infinity if i hadn't randomly played GT Sport during lockdown 1.
Far Cry 6, although I've finished all the missions, done two insurgencies, and am now just flying around opening boxes, collecting cigar cases, honouring idols and going fishing. The whole game felt very conventional compared to the craziness of 3, 4 and 5.
More Far Cry 6, moving on to the final missions. Curry's waiting list came up trumps this week, so I have a PS5 on its way to me. I'll be browsing the black Friday sales for bargain PS5 games, at last

I will be continuing with the Outer Worlds, exploring every nook and cranny
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 454
I'll be playing The Outer Worlds, probably 10 hours in, it has a retro feel, and was a black Friday week bargain

I'm trying the first Dying Light game, so it will be that some Hitman 2, maybe GT7. I do need to find a new game that is really gripping.

FIFA22, one day I'll stop playing it, not today though

GT7 for a bit of a grind, and then some FIFA22
