I'm personally really excited for this. Kudos to Naughty Dog for adding more to this release. Though not too happy that the trailer had to remind me of RatKing π
Really wish more companies would just do open pre orders for their products; they make as many as they need and everyone that wants them can get them. Then if it does well they can just do another round later. Any time the word "limited" gets put on something that just opens it up to scalping.
That's always unfortunate but tbh at this point I'm way more surprised when a game doesn't have spoilers released. Guess I'll just have to live like a hermit again for a week and a half π
This game was one I was really looking forward to so I hope they drop more info on it soon. Though I hope they save the release for next year so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle, 2023 was just too stacked.
Looking great! While I always love the care and attention to detail Insomniac puts in I think the biggest question on everyone's mind is... how big are the puddles? π€
I don't know if "unfinished" is entirely correct, I mean plenty of non live service games release unfinished or in poor states too these days. For most live service games (unfinished or not) I think it's more just the companies try to see what they can get away with, especially with greedy aggressive monetization. If nobody notices or speaks up about it then there's no way any of those companies would fix or change anything later on.
Really hope Guerrilla doesn't do the same for Horizon. As much as I love Sylens I would rather they just retire the character and give his role to another. Especially after the memorial they gave him in Burning Shores.
Not surprising, when they market products as "limited" this will always happen. It's still baffling why they release these things in such short supply, especially considering how long people have waited for unique plates. If they made enough product for everyone that wanted them they'd sell more and in turn make more money. π€·ββοΈ Oh well, I guess we'll see if more get made closer to Spidey's release.
It's nice to see the plates and dualsense being sold separately too. It's kinda weird that Sony haven't already been making unique plates for their first party ip. I would've bought Horizon ones. Hopefully that's a trend that continues. Just please don't make them Japan exclusive like the FF16 ones. π
Not too surprising but still kinda sad to see. I still prefer having a physical copy just for stability like in case there's an issue with the game's licensing later on then gets wiped off digital storefronts. Or if I need to sell it later it's nice to have that option. But I guess in a few years all the game companies will get what they always wanted; an end to the used video game market.
I personally really loved that game and would definitely play it again, but probably only if there's an upgrade path. I don't know if I could justify spending 70 bucks for it. It was incredible even on the base PS4, and looks and plays even better on PS5 already, so hopefully there's an upgrade option at least for PS owners.
I like it, but probably not for the right reasons lol It reminds me of some of the terrible, poorly thought out 90s-00s game boxart that you just don't see much of anymore.
If they're going to continue pc ports then at least the way they usually do it makes sense business wise. It doesn't interfere with the console side and gives devs more time to actually finish the product. Plus waiting until the games fall out of public relevance allows Sony to give those games a "new" boost and squeeze whatever's left out of them. π€
I'd say I'm surprised or shocked, but I learned people can always go lower. It's weird, sad, and kinda pathetic, but stuff like this has almost become the new "normal".
Finally! It was kinda weird that you couldn't buy it standalone or upgrade the PS4 version before. I might choose to upgrade my PS4 copy eventually although I wish there was a way to upgrade the performance and graphical quality while still retaining Pete's original face π
Considering how tough it was for some to even get a PS5 in the first place (some recently at that) I can't imagine most would be to happy having to "upgrade" so soon.
I didn't feel it was that rushed tbh, it was built and executed well at least to me. For Aloy as a character and the growth she's had up to that point in the story it made the most sense to do it here. But kudos to Guerrilla for doing what they want to do. Though obviously they're probably going to get backlash or weird "outrage" from certain types of people which is always unfortunate. But still, thank you Guerrilla π€
Charging extra for an option that probably should've been in the game from the beginning?? The only thing that surprises me about this is that EA, Activision, or Ubisoft haven't thought about doing this first. π€¨

Re: Poll: Spider-Man 2 PS5 Bugs are Apparently a Real Problem, But Have You Had Any?
I've only noticed one, during a "branding" crime the animation was a bit wonky for a few seconds. But nothing noticeable beyond that.
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Release Marred By Physical Installation Issues
Got mine from PS Direct and it works fine. Don't know if it matters where the affected players got theirs from.
Re: PS Studios Celebrate the Launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 with Awesome Art
I always enjoy these. Now I kinda wanna see TLOU2 Ellie team up with symbiote Pete.

Re: Another Nail in E3's Coffin as Events Collaboration Falls Through
Instead of trying to force E3 to be useful in present day by "reinventing" it I wish they would just let it rest already. It's done.
Re: Huge Final Fantasy 16 Update as Patch 1.10 Adds Outfits, Weapon Skins, Gameplay Changes; Two DLCs Now in Development

Re: Play WipEout in Your Web Browser While Fans Pray for Sony to Bring the Series Back
If emulation didn't exist this would be pretty neat!
I doubt Sony will ever do anything with WipEout beyond what they already have though.

Re: Street Fighter 6 Under Fire for Ridiculous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC Pricing
$100 for costumes and not actual playable characters? EA and Activision would be proud.
Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Red Dead Redemption on PS4?
Nope. If it's just a straight up port of the same game then it's not worth that price. At least to me.
