Re: Poll: Is 'Live Service' Becoming an Excuse to Release Unfinished Games?

JackiePriest

I don't know if "unfinished" is entirely correct, I mean plenty of non live service games release unfinished or in poor states too these days. For most live service games (unfinished or not) I think it's more just the companies try to see what they can get away with, especially with greedy aggressive monetization. If nobody notices or speaks up about it then there's no way any of those companies would fix or change anything later on.

Re: Yes, All Those Awesome Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Accessories Are Getting Scalped

Not surprising, when they market products as "limited" this will always happen. It's still baffling why they release these things in such short supply, especially considering how long people have waited for unique plates. If they made enough product for everyone that wanted them they'd sell more and in turn make more money. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Oh well, I guess we'll see if more get made closer to Spidey's release.

It's nice to see the plates and dualsense being sold separately too. It's kinda weird that Sony haven't already been making unique plates for their first party ip. I would've bought Horizon ones. Hopefully that's a trend that continues. Just please don't make them Japan exclusive like the FF16 ones. πŸ˜‘

Re: Every Little Helps! UK Giant Tesco Will Stop Stocking Physical Video Games

JackiePriest

Not too surprising but still kinda sad to see. I still prefer having a physical copy just for stability like in case there's an issue with the game's licensing later on then gets wiped off digital storefronts. Or if I need to sell it later it's nice to have that option. But I guess in a few years all the game companies will get what they always wanted; an end to the used video game market.

Re: Sony Won't Back Down on PC Ports, But PS5 Is the Priority

JackiePriest

If they're going to continue pc ports then at least the way they usually do it makes sense business wise. It doesn't interfere with the console side and gives devs more time to actually finish the product. Plus waiting until the games fall out of public relevance allows Sony to give those games a "new" boost and squeeze whatever's left out of them. πŸ€”

Re: Everyone's Talking About the End of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores on PS5

I didn't feel it was that rushed tbh, it was built and executed well at least to me. For Aloy as a character and the growth she's had up to that point in the story it made the most sense to do it here. But kudos to Guerrilla for doing what they want to do. Though obviously they're probably going to get backlash or weird "outrage" from certain types of people which is always unfortunate. But still, thank you Guerrilla 🀘
