May consider Synapse again, considering my psvr2 has been in storage since within a week of release.

Just got to Tifa's house and was disheartened to find a qte event with the piano. As a qte hater i immediately quit, and will be asking about qte's when you do your review.
I hate them that much that it'll put me off the entire game if best weapons etc are locked behind qte minigames.

As much as i love rpg's, i find it difficult to roleplay as kids. Gimme ichiban¡

Everything has flaws, opinions be opinions. Plot holes etc, yadda yadda. Every story ever written is contrived.
As for the game itself, brilliant imo. Certainly in my top 10 from the past 40yrs. Nothing tops Ocarina though 😀

Prodeus i have on xbox. But tired of Doom wannabees. Just create more Doom levels, and i'm sold.

As much as i enjoyed the original DD game, strange hybrid of fantasy it was - it was never a AAA game. Neither is the new one, AA at best imo.
But As hell yeah i'm looking forward to it 😀

As for the price, i remember extortionate prices with SF2 etc in the 90's. £70 is cheap.

Lol at the lineup. I only pay for ps+ for online gaming and cloud saves. So, yeah, i never expect much from the monthly games. And when they do add banging AAA games, most have already bought them anyway.

Had been hoping for a BG3 demo, but 2hrs? From everything i've read i'd be lucky to even get anything done in 2hrs. So i'll give it a miss. Would have liked to if it was 5-10hrs.

For the naysayers, i fart in your general direction.
An epic story imo, thats grounded in reality. Sort of...

I would highly recommend the first one. And yeah, graphically it doesnt push the boat, but it gonna be fun for us fans.

What ultimately counts though is revenue. Not silly award shows. 😜 Which has sold the most? Actually, scratch that before the COD crowd come.

@UltimateOtaku91, the OG imo is a niche title. Only gaming nerds would even know of its existence.
That said, i hope with this release that it comes to the masses. Lol, unlikely. But day 1 purchase for me. Tis an unweildy beast.

@shepherd_tallon, hell yeah. Even though VS was a niche title, it was imo a gamers' game. Long before the glut of soulslikes. And the first ever game i played with new game+.

Game looks and plays amazing as it is on ps4 imo. Aside from a new trophy list, i'm not quite sure how they could possibly improve it on this gen.

I knew about this bug from a friend online. He reverted to an old clear game save. Sad, really sad.
So yeah. This game is free to any broken home on the 2nd hand digital market. Sort it out Sony, charge a nominal fee for each transaction. Only about 200 turd games i want off my list.

@johntheraptor lol i wish. Never played Origins or Oddysey, even though i own them. Huge backlog, but anyway, they buggy too?

A whole raft of bugs, again. I have one sidequest i cant complete because the dude i'm meant to talk to is sat behind a closed garage door. One of the car deliveries cant be delivered because V enters safe mode and jumps out of the car when i try to drive.
Many other issues and annoyances where i've had to reload saves. The only improvement i've seen from the original is that that its not randomly frozen, forcing a reset.
I'll finish PL, but then the game is permanently deleted. Shame Sony dont set up some kind of 2nd hand digital trading system. I dont want money for it, ill give it away lol Just want it off my owned games list.

Damn. Doesnt leave much time to respec and finish the game before Phantom Liberty.

Played it until about lv12. Didn't really interest me tbf, as the only things you can take back to the eternal realm are cosmetics.
Plus i wanted to play an ice sorc and the only unique sorc aspect forces a fire build. So no thanks.
Good luck to those that enjoy the cosmetic side of gaming though 😉

@shogunrok, my take is that the story structure etc is great. But not the sidequests so much.
I'll take it, i think very few games to be fair have 100% interesting sidequests.

@whensdinner, reviews are important. Its up to us to take what we want from them. I always read several reviews, i dont just rely on one gamesite etc. I try get a more balanced view.
If somebody loves it, i want to know why. If somebody hates it, i want to know why.

@matroska XV is the only mainline FF i didn't complete. Aside from XI and XIV.
It just never grabbed me. I have started it 3 seperate times over the years, but never really got past the first couple of hours.
From your rather brilliant description, it seems i'm not missing much lol

I dont even bother looking at the 'sales' anymore. Got sick of seeing the same games over and over again.
Up until about a year ago i would buy a lot from the sales. But ultimately all i'm left with is a huge backlog i dont have enough time for. So really, i've probably wasted more money if anything.
